A laminated assembly extends in a longitudinal direction and a lateral direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction, the assembly including a non-woven sheet and an elastic film that are laminated together, the non-woven sheet including at least one activated zone extending over the length of the non-woven sheet measured in the longitudinal direction and over a width that is strictly less than the width of the non-woven sheet measured in the lateral direction, the degree of activation of the activated zone of the non-woven sheet in the lateral direction being different from the degree of activation of the elastic film in the lateral direction, the degree of activation of the activated zone of the non-woven sheet in the lateral direction lying in the range 20% to 200%.

Disposable absorbent articles

An absorbent article including an absorbent core having a fluid distribution layer and fluid storage layer, the fluid distribution layer being formed of two or more sub-layers. A first sub-layer has a first amount of multiple component binder fibers or crosslinked cellulose fibers, or a combination thereof. A second and/or subsequent sub-layer comprises treated or untreated pulp and a second amount of multiple component binder fibers, crosslinked cellulose fibers, or a combination thereof. The % by weight of the first sub-layer of the first amount of multicomponent binder fibers and/or crosslinked cellulose fibers is greater than the % by weight of the second or subsequent sub-layer of the second amount of multiple component binder fibers and/or crosslinked cellulose fibers.

Method for application of nested zero waste ear to traveling web

The present invention provides a method of providing a disposable product with zero waste ear formation and attaching the ears to a running chassis web.

TAMPON AND METHOD FOR MAKING THE SAME

An absorbent tampon is disclosed herein. The absorbent tampon has a fiber integrated primary absorbent member having an insertion end and a withdrawal end disposed opposite the insertion end, a top portion and a bottom portion as determined by the Secondary Desorption Performance method, and a secondary absorbent member attached to the primary absorbent member and extending outboard of the withdrawal end of the primary absorbent member. The tampon exhibits a wet weight percentage fluid in the bottom portion of at least about 60 percent when measured in accordance with the Secondary Desorption Performance method.

ABSORBENT ARTICLE

An absorbent article includes an absorbent core. The absorbent core includes an absorbent component enclosed by a core cover. The absorbent component includes a coherent area having an extension of the absorbent article and having an extension in the transverse direction over a full width of the absorbent component, the coherent area having a front edge and a back edge. The absorbent component includes high density areas of absorbent material alternating with low density areas of absorbent material. The high density areas and the low density areas extending in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article in the front portion and/or in the crotch portion of the absorbent article. The back portion of the absorbent article includes a conformance zone comprising absorbent material. The coherent area and the conformance zone are separated by an area substantially free from absorbent material.

PANT-TYPE ABSORBENT ARTICLE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

Disclosed is a pant type absorbent article having a back elastic belt comprising a waist guard portion extending towards the crotch region from a closed base line towards an open edge, wherein the waist guard portion is formed by a first inner waist fold extending from a second inner waist fold, the second inner waist fold extending from the inner sheet, and a first elastic member bonded between the first inner waist fold and the second inner waist fold, wherein the waist guard portion is partially bonded to the remainder of the elastic belt from which the first and second inner waist folds extend to define a pocket.

PROCESS FOR FORMING COMPOSITE ABSORBENT MATERIAL AND COMPOSITE ABSORBENT MATERIAL MADE BY THE PROCESS
20220362072 · 2022-11-17 ·

A process for forming a composite absorbent structure by advancing a nonwoven web including from 20% to 100% by weight of superabsorbent fibers. Superabsorbent particles may be distributed to the nonwoven web and at least some of the superabsorbent particles may be drawn into void spaces of the nonwoven web to form the composite absorbent structure. The composite absorbent structure may include a nonwoven web comprising from 20% to 100% by weight of superabsorbent fibers, and the superabsorbent particles may be distributed heterogeneously into void spaces within the nonwoven web. The composite absorbent structure may be used in an absorbent article.

ADAPTIVE CARRIER UNIT AND TRANSFER SYSTEM

A carrier unit for a transfer system having a transfer path includes a first carrier and a second carrier, the first and the second carriers being engageable to the transfer path and configured for negotiating the transfer path, wherein the first carrier is coupled to a first gripper configured for cooperating with a second gripper coupled to the second carrier to define a socket for holding one or more products, the socket having a socket geometry determined by a relative position of the first gripper with respect to the second gripper. Each carrier unit includes an angle control device configured to maintain the socket geometry upon negotiation of the transfer path by the carrier unit.
