Reinforced non-woven fabric, assembly including such a fabric, and method for treating a non-woven fabric
A non-woven sheet (10) comprises at least one zone of reinforcement (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) in which fibers and/or filaments constituting the sheet are bonded together in a reinforcing pattern (22) comprising a plurality of geometric shapes (24), the zone of reinforcement extending over the entire length (L) of the sheet measured in the longitudinal direction (X1), and over a width (l1, l2) strictly less than the width (l) of the sheet (10) measured in a lateral direction (Y1) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (X1). The sheet (10) thus further comprises at least one non-reinforced zone (30a, 30b). Because of the bonding between the fibers and/or filaments, the elongation of the reinforced zone (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) under the effect of a given force exerted in a longitudinal direction of the sheet (10) is less than the elongation of the non-reinforced zone under the effect of the same force. Such a sheet (10) may be used in particular for fabricating a laminated assembly.
Multi-layer material for use in an absorbent article
An absorbent article which can have an improved vertical absorption capability in the depth direction of the absorbent article. The absorbent article can have a topsheet layer, a backsheet layer, and an absorbent system positioned between the topsheet layer and the backsheet layer. The absorbent system can have at least a fluid intake layer and an absorbent core. The fluid intake layer can provide the absorbent article with a raised portion which can improve the vertical absorption capability in the depth direction of the absorbent article.
HYDRO-ENLARGED, APERTURED NON-WOVEN WEB AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME
A hydro-enlarged apertured non-woven web includes a plurality of fibers with a plurality of bond points, a first surface defining a planar top, and a second surface defining a planar bottom. The second surface is separated from the first surface by a first distance defining a loft. A plurality of apertures extending through the non-woven web. The plurality of apertures is formed by spraying a fluid against an unapertured precursor web, causing a plurality of pins disposed on a pinned roller to punch through the unapertured precursor web. The unapertured precursor web has a third surface defining a planar top and a fourth surface defining a planar bottom, where the third surface is separated from the fourth surface by a second distance defining a precursor loft. The loft is greater than the precursor loft by a loft increase within a range of 50-110%.
GARMENTS WITH MOISTURE CAPTURE ASSEMBLIES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS
Garments comprise one or more bonds formed within a joined region of the garment; a garment base comprising at least one interior base layer and at least one exterior base layer; and a moisture capture assembly joined to the garment base within at least the joined region. The moisture capture assembly comprises a moisture retention portion configured to absorb and retain moisture from the wearer and an anti-leak portion configured to restrict moisture from exiting the moisture retention portion.
Absorbent article having a folded waist
An article including a front region, a back region, and a chassis. The chassis may include an absorbent core having a front end edge and a back end edge. The front region and the back region may extend laterally outward beyond side edges of the chassis. The front region and the back region may abut to form a first seam and a second seam. At least one of the front region and the back region may include an elastic member. A first outer nonwoven layer of the front region and a second outer nonwoven layer of the back region may be folded to form an upper edge in the front and back regions such that a distal end of each of the first and second outer nonwoven layer may be disposed between the upper edge and the front and back end edges of the absorbent core, respectively.
Absorbent article
An absorbent article having a front panel, a rear panel, an intermediate panel joining the front and the rear panels and optionally one or more fitting components is provided. At least one of the panels and/or the fitting components is elastically contractible and made of an elastic nonwoven material that is pre-stretched and has both non-elastic and elastic polymeric material components in the form of fibers. The nonwoven material is bonded by individual bonding points arranged in a pattern. The pattern has rows of individual bonding points extending in a machine-direction and a cross-direction of the nonwoven material, and each has a centre point. The centre point of each bonding point in a row of bonding points extending in the cross-direction and/or machine-direction is offset from a centre point of each bonding point in a neighbouring row of bonding points extending in the cross-direction and/or in the machine-direction, respectively.
Composite sheet
Provided are a composite sheet whose recess-protrusion shape can easily be made crush-resistant in a state that the soft feel against the skin is maintained, and a device and method for manufacturing said composite sheet. A first sheet has a curved part in which one surface thereof rises and the other surface thereof is recessed, and a boundary part adjacent to the curved part. A second sheet is joined to the boundary part of the first sheet so as to cover the other surface of the curved part. A region of the second sheet facing the curved part has a protruding part in which an inside surface on the first sheet side rises so as to approach the curved part and an outside surface on the reverse side thereof is recessed, and a flat part surrounding the periphery of the protruding part.
