Primary packaging for a sterile medical device
The present invention is directed to packaging for an item of medical equipment. The packaging includes a sheet for receiving the contents, a cover element and closing mechanism. The packaging is simple to manufacture, reliable, allows easy and safe access to the medical equipment, and without any particular excess cost.
A Wound Care Product
A wound care product is provided. It comprises a sealed chamber in which a wound care article is arranged around a support member in such a manner that a curved portion of the wound care article is in contact with the support member. The curved portion interconnects two other portions on opposite sides of the support member.
IN-LINE RADIATION STERILIZATION FOR WOUND DRESSINGS
The present invention relates to an in-line method of radio sterilization of wound dressings using electrons. A packaged wound dressing is provided by means of a production apparatus and conveyed to a sterilization module by means of a conveying device. The packaged wound dressing is sterilized by means of a sterilization module coupled in-line to the production apparatus. The sterilization module comprises an electron beam source, which generates electrons having an energy of between 150 keV and 350 keV. The energy dose to which the packaged wound dressings are exposed is at least 15 kGy and no more than 30 kGy. The conveying device moves the packaged wound dressings at a speed of at least 10 m/min and no more than 200 m/min.
PACKAGE SEAL HAVING A FIBROUS BREATHABLE MATERIAL
The invention provides a sterilizable pouch having at least one wall formed of a flexible film and including an opening formed therein for providing communication to an interior space of the package. A breathable material is disposed on an outer surface of the wall covering the opening. The breathable material is joined to the outer surface of the wall with a continuous heat seal. A heat resistant material is positioned between the breathable material an outer surface of the wall.
Skin treatment devices with tensioning features
The devices, kits and methods described may be used for wound healing, including the treatment, amelioration, or prevention of scars and/or keloids by applying and/or maintaining a pre-determined strain in an elastic skin treatment device that is then affixed to the skin surface using skin adhesives to transfer a generally planar force from the bandage to the skin surface. Applicators are used to apply and/or maintain the strains, and some of the applicators are further configured to provide at least some mechanical advantage to the user when exerting loads onto the skin treatment device.
FEMININE PRODUCT DISPENSING SYSTEM AND ASSOCIATED METHOD
A dispenser for personal care products includes one or more dispensing modules contained within a single housing. The dispenser may contain dispensing modules that independently dispense two distinct types of products. Products are packaged individually and dispensed accordingly in response to a user request. A feminine hygiene product dispenser includes multiple compartments which each contain a quantity of different feminine hygiene products. This dispenser may be located within a conventional toilet facility so that the cabinet may be located against a wall within the toilet facility regardless of variances in the installation setting.
WOUND PACKING
The present invention relates to a wound packing material, suitable for use in negative pressure wound therapy, comprising a body of a porous material, the body comprising frangible regions defining a plurality of portions, the frangible regions allowing the portions to be selectively removed from the body. The invention further relates to methods of manufacturing the wound packing material, and to methods of its use.
Operating Table Cover Having Fast Recovery Foam
Various implementations include an operating table anti-skid pad. The pad includes a body having a longitudinal axis, a first edge, and a second edge spaced apart and opposite from the first edge. The body further has a third edge extending between the first edge and the second edge and a fourth edge opposite and spaced apart from the third edge. The body includes non-viscoelastic, resiliently deformable material having a rate of recovery of 2.0 seconds or less.
WIRING HARNESS WITH SOUND ABSORBER
Although protective members such as urethane sheets and PVC sheets used for wiring harnesses exhibit very good performance in knocking sound characteristic, they are poor in silencing effect for rubbing sound generated by a wiring harness and a vehicle body or the wiring harness and another member in a vehicle and vehicle interior quietness may be impaired due to the rubbing sound generated in the vehicle. Rubbing sound generated in a vehicle is suppressed by a wiring harness with sound absorber including a sound absorber including a nonwoven fabric having a basis weight of 50 to 400 g/m.sup.2 and a thickness of 5 to 20 mm and a wiring harness at least partially integrated with the sound absorber.
Unit dose dispensing mechanisms
Mechanisms for dispensing items such as medications and medical supplies. Different mechanisms may be tailored to dispensing different kinds of items, for example medications in single dose packages, vials, syringes, or other similarly-shaped items. The dispensers may be placed in a dispensing unit that includes a lockable restock drawer and a dispense drawer into which items are dispensed by the dispensing mechanisms. The various kinds of dispensing mechanisms may be installed in the restock drawer in any workable proportion and arrangement. The dispensing mechanisms include multiple sensing technologies for tracking and inventory of items and for accurate sensing of items as they are dispensed.
