Automated test apparatus for testing risk and integrity of pharmaceutical filtration membranes and method thereof
An automated test apparatus for risk and integrity testing for pharmaceutical filtration membranes, including at least the following components: a liquid injection inlet, a pump, a fluid pressure gauge, a gas pressure gauge, a plurality of solenoid valves, a plurality of membranes, a gas pressure regulator valve, a pharmaceutical product bottle, and a bubble generation bottle. The automated test apparatus of the present invention is controlled by computer software in connection with an automatic pharmaceutical synthesis apparatus for automated testing. In use of the automated test apparatus of the present invention, it needs only to start the operating system of the automated test apparatus for membrane risk and integrity test after the completion of the automatic pharmaceutical synthesis. The membrane risk and integrity test can be accomplished in a short time by measuring pressures of gas and liquid with pressure gauges deposed online concurrently.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT AN INTEGRITY TEST ON A FILTER ELEMENT
A method for carrying out an integrity test on a filter element includes filling a fluid into at least one vessel (1), in which a filter element (F) to be tested is arranged. The method proceeds by setting the pressure of the fluid in the vessel (1) to a predetermined test pressure, and maintaining the test pressure in the vessel (1) with controlled replenishment of fluid into the vessel (1) and/or a controlled change in internal volume of the vessel (1). The method continues by determining an integrity characteristic variable for the filter element (F) in a manner dependent on the controlled replenishment of fluid into the vessel (1) and/or dependent on the controlled change in internal volume of the vessel (1) before attaining a substantially continuous volume flow of fluid for maintaining the specific test pressure in the vessel (1).
Ultrathin membrane fabrication
A hydrogen-selective membrane including a metal leaf applied to a substrate. A system and method for fabricating a hydrogen-selective membrane, including applying a metal leaf to a substrate, annealing the metal leaf, applying a hydrogen-permeable metal to the annealed metal leaf on the substrate, and annealing the hydrogen-permeable metal and the annealed metal leaf to give an alloy of the hydrogen-permeable metal and the metal leaf. A system and method for repairing a hydrogen-selective membrane having defects including applying a metal leaf to an external surface of membrane material of the hydrogen-selective membrane, annealing the metal leaf and metal of the membrane material to form an alloy of the metal leaf and the metal to repair the defects.
METHOD OF STERILIZING AND TESTING THE INTEGRITY OF DIALYZERS
Methods of combined sterilization and integrity testing of dialyzers such as hollow fiber dialyzers are disclosed. Sterilization and integrity testing may be performed by treating the dialyzer with a sterilization fluid for sterilizing at least the blood-side compartment of the dialyzer and for wetting the dialysis membrane of the dialyzer with the sterilization fluid, and carrying out an integrity testing of the dialysis membrane wetted with the sterilization fluid, wherein the sterilization fluid is selected from aqueous solutions containing peroxide and/or ozone, the peroxide being selected from peroxides which disintegrate into water, oxygen and/or volatile organic compounds, and from aqueous solutions containing chlorine, bromine and/or iodine.
Water filtration module and method for the manufacture and use thereof
A water filtration module (10) is made of hollow fibers for filtration from the outside to the inside of the fibers, wherein the fibers are arranged inside a casing (11) made of multiple elements (20). The module (10) and at least one element (20) include elements working together, which are designed to enable the element (20) to be mounted in the module (10) in a removable manner.
Dendrimer Conjugates for Determining Membrane Retention Level and/or Pore Structure
Dendrimer conjugates for determining membrane retention level and/or pore structure, methods of determining membrane level/pore structure, and kits including dendrimer conjugates are disclosed.
