b) building up a test pressure by means of a gas, in particular by means of air, in the emptied blood chamber or in the emptied dialyzate chamber; and c) measuring the pressure drop over time in the emptied blood chamber or in the emptied dialyzate chamber or in the line system respectively in fluid communication therewith and/or measuring the pressure increase in the non-emptied blood chamber or in the non-emptied dialyzate chamber or in the line system respectively in fluid communication therewith or measuring the number of air bubbles or of a parameter correlated with the number of air bubbles in the non-emptied blood chamber or in the non-emptied dialyzate chamber or in a line system respectively in fluid communication therewith,
wherein the steps a) to c) are carried out subsequent to the blood treatment of the patient and subsequent to the disconnection of the patient from the blood-side line system.

Aseptic Filter Vent Valve And Port For Integrity Testing
The present disclosure relates to a filter capsule that supports direct integrity testing of an internal filter element. The filter capsule includes a filter housing having an inlet port, an outlet port, a passage running longitudinally between the inlet port and outlet port and holding a filter element, and an aseptic vent assembly. The filter housing also includes an integrity test assembly that can be used as a direct connection for integrity testing hardware, as opposed to upstream of the filter capsule. In one embodiment, the integrity test assembly comprises a body having a bore formed through its interior and a movable plunger within the bore. The plunger includes a handle to move the plunger between a closed position and an open position. Various seals between the plunger and the bore form a fluid tight seal between various portions of the plunger and the bore.
Enhanced Stability Filter Integrity Test
A method of integrity testing porous materials that is non-destructive to the material being tested. The method includes humidifying the inlet gas stream to minimize or prevent the porous material from drying out. The inlet gas stream includes at least two gases, wherein one of the gases has a different permeability in liquid than the other, such as oxygen and nitrogen. The permeate gas stream may be subjected to a driving force such as reduced pressure to increase the flow of gases and reduce test time. Multiple porous materials can be integrity tested at the same time, such as by manifolding a plurality of them together. The integrity test is capable of detecting the presence of oversized pores or defects that can compromise the retention capability of the porous material.
METHOD OF DETECTING A LEAK IN A HEAT EXCHANGER OF A HEMODIALYSIS MACHINE
A leak may be detected in a heat exchanger of a hemodialysis device. A drain valve is opened by the controller, and then closed by the controller after a pre-selected time period. An initial pressure is determined in the spent dialysate circuit and stored in the memory. A system pressure is determined at periodic time intervals and compared to a pre-determined maximum pressure. The controller then determines whether the heat exchanger has a leak, in that in response to the system pressure exceeding a predetermined maximum pressure, a command is generated to execute an event including suspending a disinfectant operation with a disinfecting agent, and in response to the initial pressure subtracted from the system pressure being greater than a predetermined minimum pressure differential, a command is generated to execute an event including suspending the cleanse operation with the disinfecting agent.
Method for preparing water quality profile, method for inspecting separation membrane module, and water treatment apparatus
The present invention provides a method for preparing a water quality profile that has (1) a step 1 for supplying water to be treated to a separation membrane module with a supply port for the water being treated and multiple permeate outlets and obtaining permeate, (2) a step 2 for varying the ratio of the flow rates of the respective permeates flowing out of the multiple permeate outlets, (3) a step 3 after step 2 for measuring the respective water qualities of the permeates, and (4) a step 4 for plotting the relationship between the ratio of the respective permeate flow rates varied in step 2 and the respective water qualities of the permeates measured in step 3 as a scatter diagram, steps 2-4 being repeated multiple times.
