A medical bandage includes a bandage substrate having a portion designated to receive and underlie an arm of a patient as a non-sterile area. A flap attached longitudinally along one edge of the non-sterile area of the bandage substrate is positionable in: (i) an open position for insertion of the arm; and (ii) a closed position over top of the arm of the patient. The flap has an opening that exposes at least a forearm portion as a sterilizable area of the arm of the patient for therapeutic or diagnostic access to a blood vein. An inner adhesive layer is attached to an inner surface of the flap around the opening to releasably adhere to the arm of the patient. An access panel is sized to cover the opening. An outer adhesive layer attached to an outer surface releasably adheres to an outer annular area of the access panel.
Protective cover for cast

The cover is in the shape of the cast with additional material provided at each of the cast openings so that the additional material can be tucked inside the cast. Depending on the shape of the cast, the cover may optionally be provided with a slit in the material to facilitate fitting it onto the cast. The slit is provided with fasteners on each side of the slit for securing the slit together to fit the cover over the cast.
Devices for protecting vulnerable sites on patients from liquid contamination and related devices, systems, and methods
A protective device configured in accordance with a particular embodiment includes a cover including a first region that extends over a vulnerable site on a patient and a second region that extends over an area on the patient peripheral to the vulnerable site. The first region of the cover is at least generally impermeable to liquid water. The device further includes an adhesive film and a liquid-absorbing element. The adhesive film is configured to form an adhesive bond between the second region of the cover and the patient. The bond has an inner edge portion positioned toward the vulnerable site and an outer edge portion positioned away from the vulnerable site. The liquid-absorbing element is configured to absorb liquid contamination at the outer edge portion of the bond and/or liquid contamination approaching the outer edge portion of the bond when the cover is operably positioned on the patient.
Adhesive patch with antimicrobial composition
This disclosure describes example adhesive medical patches that may be used in combination with one or more antimicrobial agents to create and/or maintain an area of human skin that is free from contaminants. According to some embodiments, the disclosure describes that the adhesive patches may contain an adhesive material affixed to the perimeter of an impermeable backing According to some embodiments, the adhesive patch may also have a permeable layer containing an antimicrobial agent located interior to the adhesive material on the impermeable backing.

Aspects of the present invention provide articles, systems and kits for covering an incision, wound or catheter insertion site with a protective cover, and methods of using and making the protective cover.
Waterproof cast liner system and method of use
A waterproof cast liner is formed by inverting a waterproof cast sleeve over a padding material and sealing the inner and outer layers together to produce a waterproof cast. The padding material is retained within the waterproof enclosure formed by the inverted and seal liner and a rigid material is configure around the outer layer of the inverted sleeve and the limb to form a waterproof cast. A waterproof cast sleeve may have an appendage conduit that branches from the sleeve conduit to enable an appendage such as a thumb or finger to extend out from the waterproof cast. The inner and outer layer of the inverted sleeve or waterproof liner are sealed together to produce a waterproof enclosure for the padding material. The seal may include a thermal seal or adhesive and the rigid material of the cast may form an adhesive for the seal.
