Inverting digit bandage with deployment strips
An inverting digit bandage system enables covering a digit, such as a finger or toe, with an inverting digit bandage by pulling deployment strips. An inverting digit bandage has a sleeve portion that is rolled up into a toroid portion along with the deployment strip, A deployment tab extends from the deployment toroid and pulling down on the deployment tab unfurls the inverting digit bandage over a digit. An attachment tab may be configured on the extended end of the sleeve and have an adhesive to secure the bandage over the digit. The deployment strip may be attached to a release layer configured over the adhesive on the attachment tab and may remove the release layer when pulled from the inverting digit bandage.
BANDAGE APPLICATOR
The invention relates to a two-state roll-bandage applicator, comprising (a) an elongated cylinder configured for insertion into a central lumen of a roll bandage, the cylinder comprising one or more flanges configured to retain the cylinder within the lumen of said roll bandage; (b) a handle configured to move longitudinally within the central lumen of the elongated cylinder between a compact storage position in which the distal end of the handle is in proximity with the distal end of the cylinder, and a working position in which the distal end of the handle is away from the distal end of the cylinder, such that most of the handle's length protrudes in a proximal direction from a proximal end of the cylinder; wherein in the working position the handle is rotatable relative to the cylinder.
DISSOLUTION RESISTANT TISSUE ADHERENT DRESSING APPLICATION AND ITS DELIVERY
The present invention relates to a dissolution resistant, biocompatible, foldable, thin profile, low mass and high surface area, chitosan dressing, optionally modified with iron, and suitable for treating bleeding in a physiological environment, e.g. gastrointestinal tract. The characteristics and structures of the chitosan dressing are provided. Devices and systems for delivery of dressing to a target tissue site are provided. Methods of making and using the chitosan dressing are also provided.
WRAPPING DEVICE FOR WRAPPING BODY PARTS
The present invention provides a wrapping device for wrapping body parts. Said wrapping device comprises a rotation module having a first roller ring, a second roller ring, and a plurality of connecting parts; a driving module driving at least one of the first roller ring and the second roller ring to revolve; and at least a pressing device disposed on the second roller ring. In said wrapping device, the first roller ring and the second roller ring are separately and coaxially disposed, while the opposite ends of each of the plurality of connecting parts are separately connected to the first roller ring and the second roller ring. In addition, the first roller ring includes a first ring hole surrounded and formed by a first inner ring wall, and the second roller ring includes a second ring hole surrounded and formed by a second inner ring wall. Said at least a pressing device protrudes toward an inner space of the second ring hole.
Bi-directional packaging adhesive
In aspects of bi-directional packaging adhesive, a sterile package includes an adhesive patch that adheres to an applied surface. The sterile package includes a non-stick backing that adheres to the adhesive patch, with the non-stick backing being removable for application of the adhesive patch. The sterile package includes packaging that encompasses the adhesive patch and the non-stick backing, and includes a bi-directional adhesive configured to release in a first package opening direction to remove the packaging while maintaining the adherence of the non-stick backing to the adhesive patch, and hold in a second package opening direction to remove the non-stick backing from the adhesive patch along with removing the packaging. A portion of the non-stick backing is attached to an inside of the packaging with the bi-directional adhesive, and the attached portion peels the non-stick backing from the adhesive patch in the second package opening direction to open the packaging.
GAUZE PLACEMENT APPARATUSES AND RELATED METHODS
Gauze placement apparatuses and related methods are disclosed herein. The gauze placement apparatus can include a lower fork extension that can have a fork portion and first and second lower prongs aligned with each other in a second direction that is transverse to a first direction in which an upper handle is oriented and an upper fork extension that can have a fork portion and first and second upper prongs aligned with each other in the second direction that is transverse to the first direction in which a lower handle is oriented. The upper handle and the lower fork extension being pivotally connected to the lower handle and the upper fork extension such that the upper handle resides above the lower handle and the upper fork extension resides above the lower fork extension. When the upper handle and lower handle are moved in a diverging direction, the upper and lower fork extensions move apart from each other to an open position. When the upper handle and lower handle are moved in a converging direction, the upper and lower fork extensions move toward each other to a closed position. The first and second lower prongs of the lower fork extension can be configured to receive a first folded gauze such that a slit within the gauze resides between the first and second lower prongs. The upper and lower fork extensions can be configured to hold the first folded gauze when in the closed position.
Portable medical device protectors
This disclosure describes example portable medical device protectors that may be used in combination with various antimicrobial and/or antiseptic agents to reduce contaminants on a portable medical device. According to some embodiments, the disclosure describes that the protectors may comprise an impermeable container to store a permeable applicator impregnated with an antimicrobial or antiseptic agent.
Y-shaped gauze positioning assembly
A Y-type gauze positioning rod is adapted to be disposed in a Y-type gauze so as to position the Y-type gauze to an affected region. The Y-type gauze positioning rod includes a Y-type flexible body having a holder and two supporting branches. The two supporting branches are connected to the holder and separated from each other. A Y-type gauze positioning assembly is further provided.
