Rolling device
A device for dispensing adhesive tape or for dispensing medical products stored on a roll, that includes a base plate, fitted with a pin upon which a roll or adhesive tape is attached, and a tearing section with a tearing blade spaced at a distance from the pin. The base plate is associated with a fastening section for partially gripping a rod or a bar. The fastening section includes an arm connected to the base plate and that merges with a crosspiece. The crosspiece is fixed to a free arm such that the rod or the bar can be accommodated between the free arm and the connected arm. Also included is at least one fastening unit that is provided to join the connected arm to the free arm.

GAUZE CUTTING SHEARS
The present invention is an improved design for shears that allows for cutting through gauze or bandages. The inventive shears include first and second levers mounted one to the other by a pivot joint so as to form a fulcrum substantially mid-way along their lengths, and wherein a first end of one of the levers are formed as a shearing blade and wherein the second ends of both of the levers are formed as looped handles mounted on the ends of corresponding stems. The first lever has a cutting edge along one side of its length, with a facing edge of the second lever being blunt, the levers allowing for shearing engagement of the cutting edge over the blunt edge as the levers are rotated relative to one another about the pivot joint between an open position wherein the cutting edge and blunt edge form a V-shaped crease for receiving in the crease an object to be cut, and a closed position wherein the cutting edge substantially overlaps the blunt edge. The second lever has no sharpened edges or points and has an inclined profile from its tip to the pivot joint allowing the second lever to more effectively lift away any material to be cut.

Cast saw temperature safety and burn reduction system
Apparatus is provided for a medical cutting device, specifically, a cast removal apparatus designed for the removal of orthopedic casts generally applied for immobilization, which apparatus comprises a temperature safety system and/or a burn reduction system. The use of any saw for cast removal creates a potential for patient discomfort and iatrogenic injury, including but not limited to burns which can leave unsightly scars and wound complications. The apparatuses presented comprise a housing for a temperature control system and motor, which motor can be controlled by the temperature control system to control a cast saw blade, with at least one temperature sensor to sense temperature information regarding at least one cutting region of the blade. The temperature information is used by the temperature control system to control the motor. The apparatuses presented comprise a burn reduction system with cast saw blade coolant or lubricant and coolant or lubricant applicators.

Total contact cast system and methods for safe and easy removal thereof
A cast system, which includes: a padding layer configured to be disposed within a cast and support a portion of a patient's limb; a casting material which hardens around the padding layer and form an outer shell of the cast surrounding the patient's limb; and a wire saw configured to be disposed within the cast and extend along a longitudinal axis of the cast. The wire saw has a cutting surface which is at least partly enclosed by a plastic sheath. By enclosing the wire saw cutting surface in a plastic sheath, the saw does not lock up during the cutting operation, cutting is facilitated, allowing for easy and safe removal of the cast by pulling at least one end of the wire saw so as to cut through the outer shell of the cast.
