Fluid separation apparatus comprising fluid separation membrane, and fluid separation membrane module
A fluid separation apparatus comprising a fluid separation membrane is provided. The fluid separation apparatus comprises a fluid separation membrane extending in one direction and having a cross-section with a closed curve shape, wherein the fluid separation membrane has a thickness of 0.1 mm to 2 mm, and an outer diameter of 60 mm to 360 mm when the cross-section is adjusted to be circular.
MODULAR FILTRATION SYSTEM
A filtration vessel, having within constituent filter media is formed using plastic injection molding to meet the interior specifications of a high-pressure filtration encasement system while remaining a separate replaceable component. The encasement system supports and encases walls of the filtration vessel enabling the vessel to be designed with sufficient strength and resiliency to form a seal and constrain filter media prior to and after use without necessitating construction to endure independent high-pressure operations. The bottom or base of the vessel includes a plurality of holes through which the filtrate may flow. Interposed between the base of the vessel and the filter media is a semi-permeable barrier imbedded into the injection molded walls and base of the vessel. The barrier prevents residue from contaminating the filtrate.
Vesicles formed from block copolymers, and novel block copolymers
Vesicles formed from a block copolymer comprising at least one (poly)2-C.sub.1-3alkyl-2-oxazoline block and at least one polybutadiene block; and membranes comprising such vesicles. Block copolymers comprising at least one (poly)2-C.sub.1-3alkyl-2-oxazoline block and at least one polybutadiene block, provided that the copolymer is not the diblock copolymer consisting of 40 butadiene units and 190 2-methyl-2-oxazoline units terminated by a hydroxy group, are novel, and also form part of the invention.

BASE FILMS FOR IMPREGNATION, IMPROVED IMPREGNATED PRODUCTS, AND RELATED METHODS
A novel or improved base film for impregnation, impregnated base film, product incorporating the impregnated base film, and/or related methods as shown, claimed or described herein.
Microporous polymeric composition
A microporous polymeric composition including a matrix polymer having a fractional free volume of at least 0.1 and dispersed particles having a hypercrosslinked polymer.

POLYMER MEMBRANE WITH ARABIC GUM FOR WATER TREATMENT
The present disclosure provides for a water treatment system including a water tank and a polymer membrane. The water tank includes an inlet in fluid communication with an outlet. The polymer membrane is contained within the water tank and includes Arabic gum so as to minimize biofouling. The polymer membrane may include 0.1% to 7% by weight of Arabic gum. The water tank is configured such that an untreated water stream entering at the inlet is treated by passing the untreated water stream through the polymer membrane before exiting at the outlet.
Hollow fiber membrane and hollow fiber membrane module
The invention provides a hollow fiber membrane exhibiting a favorable gas permeation performance and an excellent heat resistance in which the generation of pinholes are suppressed, and a hollow fiber membrane module using the same. The hollow fiber membrane comprising a gas permeable nonporous layer; and a porous supporting layer to support the nonporous layer formed of a thermoplastic elastomer having a DSC melting peak temperature of 130 C. or higher and a rupture elongation prescribed in ISO 37 (2010) of 300% or more.
Elastic membrane-based membrane bioreactor with high-efficiency for fouling control
Elastic microfiltration membranes are provided. These membranes may be used in a membrane bioreactor. Due to the elastic nature of the membranes, removal of fouling materials is improved, thereby increasing the efficiency and longevity of the membranes. Methods for forming such membranes and uses of the membranes are also provided, including their use in membrane bioreactors.
