Extraction of benzene from benzene/cyclohexane mixture
The extraction of benzene from benzene/cyclohexane mixture described herein is a process that removes benzene from a benzene/cyclohexane mixture with high selectivity, resulting in an enriched cyclohexane content in the retentate. The process involves adding an aqueous solution of poloxamer 188 to the benzene/cyclohexane mixture and waiting for the mixture to partition into an organic layer above an aqueous layer. Benzene, being more polar than cyclohexane, is selectively drawn into the aqueous layer. Benzene is then removed from the aqueous layer by pervaporation through a composite PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane)/polystyrene membrane. Cyclohexane is recovered from the retentate by drawing off the organic layer of the retentate by any known method. About 97% of benzene has been removed from a 50-50 wt % mixture by pervaporation in the static mode, and about 99% by pervaporation in the continuous mode.

PRECISION FILTER TO FILTER PROCESS LIQUID FOR PRODUCING CIRCUIT BOARDS
The objective of the present invention is to provide a precision filter which is suitable for filtering a circuit board production process liquid, which is extremely excellent in the resistance to both a strongly acidic cleaning liquid and a strongly alkaline cleaning liquid and which is extremely excellent in the capability of removing an extremely fine foreign substance. Also, the objective of the present invention is to provide a precision filter cartridge which is used for a circuit board production process liquid and which includes the precision filter. Further, the objective of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a circuit board using the process liquid filtered by the precision filter for a circuit board production process liquid or the precision filter cartridge for a circuit board production process liquid. The precision filter to filtrate a process liquid for producing a circuit board according to the present invention is characterized in comprising a tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (I) having an amino group in a side chain.
Process for making membranes
The invention provides a filtration membrane which comprises a porous support and, covalently bonded to a surface thereof, a layer comprising a plurality of vesicles having transmembrane proteins incorporated therein, said vesicles being formed from an amphiphilic block copolymer; characterised in that within said layer, vesicles are covalently linked together to form a coherent mass. The membrane may be prepared by a process which comprises providing an aqueous suspension of vesicles having transmembrane proteins incorporated therein, said vesicles being formed from an amphiphilic block copolymer having reactive end groups; depositing said suspension of vesicles on a surface of a porous support; and providing reaction conditions such that covalent bonds are formed between different vesicles and between vesicles and said surface.
