A liquid filter for a motor vehicle may include a hollow cylindrical housing bowl, a cover that closes the housing bowl, a suspended, hollow cylindrical particle filter arranged in the housing bowl, a catch basin that is opened towards the cover, and an edge overflow. The particle filter may extend parallel to a longitudinal center axis of the housing bowl and may divide the housing bowl into a clean liquid chamber and into a raw liquid chamber. The raw liquid chamber may be fluidically connected to at least one inlet arranged in the cover and the clean liquid chamber to at least one outlet arranged in the cover.

The present invention relates to a filter device for separating debris from a fluid. The filter device includes a housing having at least one inlet, at least one first outlet, and a second outlet. The filter device further includes a filter cartridge that allows fluid to pass therethrough but prevents passage of debris therethrough. The filter cartridge is positioned within the housing so as to define an upper chamber and a lower chamber within the housing. The at least one inlet is positioned so as to allow contaminated fluid to enter the lower chamber of the housing. Fluid must pass through the filter cartridge in an upward direction to reach the upper chamber, and the first outlet is positioned so as to allow filtered fluid to exit the upper chamber. The second outlet is positioned to allow debris accumulated within the lower chamber to be discharged.

A center tube and a central fluid supply tube combination includes a center tube body defining a longitudinal length, and a central reservoir. The center tube also includes an apertured annular wall extending axially the majority of the longitudinal length, and a first annular solid wall extending axially from the apertured annular wall. A central fluid supply tube is disposed in the central reservoir, and includes a second annular solid wall that is radially surrounded by the apertured annular wall of the center tube. The second annular solid wall defines a supply passage with a fully circular flow flux.

A pedestal for use with a canister filter system and a filter element for positioning and retaining the filter element in the canister filter system includes an at least partially annular body defining a longitudinal axis, a radial direction, and a circumferential direction. Also, the pedestal includes an annular wall that terminates at a bottom free end, and that defines a slot that extends axially upwardly and circumferentially from the bottom free end. A flow aperture extends through the annular wall that is disposed axially above the slot.

An extraction cell cap assembly allows for toolless disassembly. The assembly includes a cap body having a threaded base releasably engaged with a cell vessel, a support member extending axially upward from the base, and a bore axially extending through the support member. The assembly also includes a locking cap having a plunger slidably received within the bore, a recess disposed within the plunger, and a locking portion that releasably engages the support member. Rotation of the locking cap in a first direction engages the locking portion with the support member, and rotation in an opposite direction disengages the locking portion. A filter is received in the recess and a seal member received in the bore, wherein the seal member forms a fluid-tight seal between the cell vessel and the assembly when the locking portion and the support member are engaged and the assembly is secured to the cell vessel.

A rotary fluid filter including a filter body rotationally mounted within a housing. The housing having a front cap having a main fluid inlet and a backwash outlet, a rear cap having a main fluid outlet and a backwash inlet. The filter body having a front face, a rear face, and a plurality of fluid flow passages each extending through the filter body between the front face and the rear face and having a filter received in each fluid flow passage. The filter body operable to rotate with in the housing such that, for each fluid flow passage, as it is aligned with the main fluid inlet a main fluid is received therein, as it is aligned with the main fluid outlet the main fluid is discharged therefrom, and as it is aligned with the backwash inlet and the backwash outlet a backwash fluid is received therethrough.

Filter elements and filter systems are provided. The filter element allows for a reversed flow of fluid through the filter element when flowing from a first port to a second port of a filter head of the filter system. The filter element includes a standpipe in a central cavity of a tube of filter media that is fluidly connected with an exterior of the tube of filter media by a radial flow conduit and an axial flow tube.

A filter that includes: a filter base portion having a first main surface and a second main surface opposite to the first main surface, the filter base defining a plurality of through-holes communicating between the first main surface and the second main surface; and a support portion on the filter base portion, wherein the support portion includes: a main body portion on the first main surface and including a plurality of fixing portions in some of the plurality of through-holes; and a protruding portion protruding toward an outer side portion of the main body portion in a direction along the first main surface from a fixing portion located on a sidewall side of the main body portion among the plurality of fixing portions, and a thickness of the protruding portion is smaller than a thickness of the main body portion.

A filter element for exchangeable installation into a filter housing has an annular filter medium with an annular seal secured directly or indirectly onto the first axial end. The annular seal having a positioning and sealing section and concentric annular sealing rings between which a sealing groove is formed. A radially outer side of the radially outer annular ring having a key locking system formed by a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart radial projections, spaced apart by radial indentations, adapted to positively engage cooperative configured geometries or key locking features of a filter housing when in an installed state, thereby locking a rotational orientation and position of the filter element.

A filter for filtering contaminants from a fluid. The filter includes a cylinder of pleated filter media, a first end cap coupled to a first end of the filter media and a second end cap coupled to a second end of the filter media. The second end cap including a wall formed to include a central opening. The filter also includes a central core positioned radially inward of filter media and extends from the first end cap to the second end cap. The central core has a cylindrical side wall that is formed to include a plurality of apertures that are adapted to allow for the passage of the fluid. The filter also includes an annular collar that is adapted to be positioned within the central core. The annular collar is adapted to be rotatable with respect to the central core and includes a sidewall formed to include a series of space projections that extend radially inwardly from the sidewall.
