An annular filter includes a first annulus wall and a second annulas wall being impermeable to fluid (liquid and gas), a first circular wall and a second circular wall mounted between the first annulas wall and second annulas wall wherein the first and second circular wall are permeable to fluid (liquid and gas), at least one dividing wall mounted between the first and second circular wall to divide an internal volume defined between the first and second annulas wall and the first and second circular wall into channels, bisecting walls between the first and second circular walls to change a direction of fluid flow from a first direction to a second direction first and second channels, turbulator walls mounted channel, wherein the turbulator walls cause turbulent fluid flow in the channels, and a filter media positioned in at least one of the channels.

Removal system and removal aid for a separating element

A removal system is provided with a separating element for separating contaminants contained in a fluid and with a removal aid for removing the separating element from a housing. The separating element has an end disk arranged at an end face of the separating element. The end disk has a central recess. The removal aid has a grip section and at least two locking fingers. The locking fingers extend along a center axis of the removal aid away from the grip section. Each locking finger has a hook element that serves for engaging behind the end disk of the separating element radially outside of an end disk area that delimits in radial outward direction immediately the central recess. A removal aid for such a removal system is provided.

Underdrain system using one-piece cell dividers

The present invention is directed to a one-piece cell divider for use in a filter underdrain system that supports a parous plate that supports a filter media for filtering a fluid. The one-piece cell divider includes: a divider portion; a porous plate support portion, including a flange that supports the porous plate; a support member portion, including a flange that attaches the divider to a base. A filter underdrain using a one-piece cell divider may include; at least one porous plate for supporting the filter media for filtering a fluid, the porous plate spanning across at least one of the dividers; the at least two dividers including: one or more one-piece cell dividers; one or more multiple-piece dividers, each multiple-piece cell divider comprising a divider portion and a support member, the support member being directly under the divider portion.

Candle Filter Support and Plate Assembly for Polymer Melts

A polymer melt candle filter having a support which comprises a hollow cylindrical body defined by a first end, a second end, and a cylinder wall having a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion includes a screw thread on its outside surface and optionally a hex fitting on its inside surface for receiving a hex wrench. The second end portion includes a plurality of holes in the cylinder wall. The area of the openings of the holes on the outside surface of the cylinder wall may be larger than the area of the openings of the corresponding holes on the inside surface of the cylinder wall. The shape of the openings of the holes on the outside surface may be non-circular. A polymer melt filter plate assembly which comprises (a) a support plate comprising a plurality of threaded holes; (b) at least one filter which is screwed into at least one of the threaded holes via the screw thread on the outside surface of the first end portion of the filter support; (c) a tie rod with (i) a first end extending through a hole in a cone insert and a cap located at the second end of the filter support, and (ii) a second end extending through a threaded hole in the support plate; and (d) a cross bar which is attached to the second end of the tie rod for holding the support plate inside a shaft of an apparatus for filtering a polymer melt.
