MULTI-LAYER, OIL-RESISTANT, ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SYNTHETIC HEPA MEDIA
20230072618 · 2023-03-09 ·

A composite media alternative to high pressure drop glass microfiber HEPA media for use in applications where HEPA efficiency with an oily aerosol challenge with low resistance are required. The composite media contains two light filtration layers, one or both of which is charged, and the efficiency of the material can be greatly increased over a single layer containing the same weight of material. The composite media contains a backer layer to provide mechanical support to the filtration layers.

Spin-on filter cartridge which can be easily disassembled to allow the replacement of a filter unit included therein
11471801 · 2022-10-18 · ·

A spin-on filter cartridge includes a flange with peripheral holes for entrance, and a middle hole for exit. The cartridge includes a container with a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The flange reversibly occludes the opening. The container reversibly connects to the flange by a bayonet. The cartridge includes a filter unit including a cylindrical side wall having a base at a first end, and an opening at a second end. The bases oppose each other, the filter unit opening opposing the flange. The filter unit rotates integrally with the container. A spring between the bases pushes the filter unit towards the flange, the filter unit dividing the space into a first compartment, outside the filter unit, accessible by peripheral holes of the flange, and a second compartment, inside the filter unit, accessible by the middle hole.

Fluid filter with a valve unit and filter element for use in the fluid filter
11596883 · 2023-03-07 · ·

A fluid filter comprises a housing, a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a filter element separating a raw side and a clean side from one another, and a valve unit. The valve unit comprises a valve plate arranged concentrically in the housing and having the shape of a circular ring disc, having valve openings and a flexible circular-ring-disc-shaped valve membrane arranged on the valve plate. The filter element comprises an axially protruding pressure-exerting ring shaped as a circumferential annular collar on the end face thereof facing the valve unit when installed. When installed in the housing, the filter element, with an end face of the pressure-exerting ring, presses the valve membrane axially onto the valve plate. The valve membrane, with the membrane region thereof pressed by the pressure-exerting ring onto the valve plate, forms a seal separating the raw side from the clean side of the fluid filter.

Filtration in gas dehydration

A filter for a sorbent regeneration process includes a base, a central rod, support frames, and a filter screen. The central rod is coupled to the base and defines a longitudinal axis of the filter. Each of the support frames are coupled to and protrude radially from the central rod. Each of the support frames are coupled to the base. For each pair of neighboring support frames, the filter includes a triangular support member disposed between the pair of neighboring support frames. Each triangular member is coupled to the central rod and to each of the neighboring support frames. The filter screen surrounds the support frames and is coupled to the support frames and to the base.

Filter press

A filter press includes a frame, a hydraulic system for compressing and releasing filter plates, the filter plates, a filter chamber, a feed pump, a high-pressure clean water pump, a control system, a rotating plate, a cake removal knife, a squeeze disc, a squeeze disc sleeve, a drive shaft, a brake, a left pull rod, a right pull rod, a pull rod disc, a connector and clutches. The filter cake in the entire filter press can be removed without opening the filter plates in sequence. The filter cake washing is carried out in an enclosed room in a normal direction and a reverse direction, which can not only maintain the dryness and cleanness of the working environment, but also can effectively collect, process treat and recycle the washing water, thus achieving the zero discharge of waste water to meet the environmental requirements at a low cost.

Filter Element and Filter Assembly

A filter element has a first follower element with a first traction surface and a second follower element with a second traction surface provided for interacting with first and second mating surfaces of the filter housing, respectively. The first and second traction surfaces interact with the first and second mating surfaces to pull out the filter element from the filter housing. The first and second traction surfaces are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the filter element and project radially into the interior of the filter element. At least one of the first and second follower elements has a stop surface adjoining circumferentially the respective traction surface. In a position of use, the stop surface interacts with a counter stop surface of the filter housing to form an at least unidirectional rotational degree of freedom blocking about the longitudinal axis relative to the filter housing.

Apparatus and method for filtering cryogenic fluid

An improved filter apparatus for a cryogenic fluid includes a filter and a support. The filter includes a mesh having an internal space and an open end. The support is associated with the mesh for maintaining a volume of the internal space above a predetermined value. In operation cryogenic fluid enters the internal space through the mesh and exits the open end thereof.

Utilizing a mechanical seal between a filter media and an endcap of a rotating filter cartridge

Referring to the figures generally, a rotating filter cartridge includes a first endcap, a second endcap, and a filter media. The filter media is positioned between the first endcap and the second endcap. The filter media creates a mechanical seal between at least one of the first endcap or the second endcap during rotation of the rotating filter cartridge without the use of a potting material. In at least one embodiment, the rotating filter cartridge further includes a body secured to the first endcap and the second endcap. At least one of the first endcap or the second endcap, and the body, may form a pocket that radially pinches the filter media to form the mechanical seal.

SPIN-ON FILTER ASSEMBLY WITH REPLACEABLE CORELESS ELEMENT
