An exchangeable filter system is provided with an exchangeable filter module that has at least one fluid inlet, at least one fluid outlet, and a fluid path connecting the at least one fluid inlet and the at least one fluid outlet with each other. The exchangeable filter module is provided with at least one filter element for filtering a fluid. A flange element and a counter flange element are provided. The flange element is provided to releasably engage the exchangeable filter module and to releasably engage the counter flange element. A valve device is arranged in the flange element. The valve device blocks the fluid path when the flange element is in engagement with the exchangeable filter module and is disengaged from the counter flange element. An internal combustion engine is provided with such an exchangeable filter system to filter fuel, lubricant or urea.

A method of cleaning a regenerative filter having a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones, a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones, and a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path, the method comprising draining all fluids from the filter housing, refilling the filter housing with fluid to an optimum level, and initiating a cleaning sequence of the filter housing with the fluid at the optimum level. The cleaning sequence can comprise agitating the tube sheet, initiating a pump to effectively air scour for a first predetermined amount of time, dwelling for a second predetermined amount of time, and repeating the agitating, initiating, and dwelling until a third predetermined amount of time is complete.

A regenerative filter that includes a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones; a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones; a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path; and a tube sheet that is supported across the filter housing, that is disposed just before the outlet zone and that provides the support for the plurality of filter elements. A filter assembly is disclosed comprising a filter cartridge, a filter housing end part, and a filter housing main part, said filter housing main part being adapted for receiving said filter cartridge and for being connected to the housing end part by screwing, wherein said filter housing main part comprises a first longitudinal axis and a main opening, said main opening being defined by a first end portion, said first end portion comprising an upper, interrupted rim and a first threaded portion arranged below said upper rim; said first end portion comprising a recess arrangement comprising one or more axially extending recesses, said one or more axially extending recesses at least partially interrupting said first threaded portion; said filter cartridge comprises a second longitudinal axis and a first end cap, said first end cap comprising a central portion and a radial extension arrangement comprising one or more radial extensions extending radially away from said central portion; and wherein said radial extension arrangement is adapted for being receivable or received by said recess arrangement; and associated cartridges.

A filter support system is provided for reducing damage to filter elements. The filter support system includes an upper support system and a lower support system for supporting at least one filter element in a vertical orientation by engaging the top and bottom of the at least one filter element. The upper support system includes a sleeve for engaging the top of the at least one filter element and the lower support system includes a compression spring that supports the at least one filter element against the upper support system.

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus for filtering a fluid. One exemplary aspect including a casing having an interior cavity and extending between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet at opposed ends thereof, a tube sheet assembly spanning the interior cavity the tube sheet assembly having a plurality bores therethrough and a plurality of filter media tubes each extending from one of the plurality of bores in the tube sheet assembly. In some exemplary aspects, the tube sheet assembly may comprise a plurality of retaining plates sandwiched together with a tube sheet plate. In some exemplary aspects, the apparatus may further comprise at least one restrictor plate adapted to obstruct at least one of the plurality of bores of the tube sheet.

A mobile oil filtration system includes a mobile oil reservoir having a plurality of wheels; a housing secured to the mobile oil reservoir; an input conduit secured to the housing; a pump in fluid communication with the input conduit; a spring-loaded filter downstream from and in fluid communication with the pump; a bag filter downstream from and in fluid communication with the spring-loaded filter; and an output conduit secured to the housing and in fluid communication with the bag filter.
