REGENERATIVE MEDIA FILTRATION
A regenerative filter that includes a filter housing having inlet and outlet zones; a fluid path provided between the inlet and outlet zones; a plurality of filter elements each having an outer surface filter media applied thereto and functioning to filter particulate or contaminants from the fluid path; and a tube sheet that is supported across the filter housing, that is disposed just before the outlet zone and that provides the support for the plurality of filter elements. The plurality of filter elements are disposed in an array and includes bridging members or elements that connect between adjacent filter elements, and that forms with the filter elements, a closed interstitial space between adjacent filter elements for liquid flow; a nanoscale barrier on interior surfaces, including that of the regenerative media itself, providing a mechanism to disrupt the cell wall of microscopic viruses and organisms.

SAND BOIL FILTER
In certain embodiments, a sand-boil filter includes a hollow, conical, water-porous structure made of a mesh material having spaced mesh holes. The filter is inserted narrow-end down into a sand boil to allow water to flow from the ground through the mesh material and out the top of the sand boil, while blocking solid matter larger than the mesh holes from passing through the mesh material. In some implementations, the filter is filled with gravel that holds the filter in place while allowing water to flow out of the sand boil. Such filters prevent sand boils from growing while relieving the underground hydrostatic pressure that created the sand boil in the first place and inhibiting subterranean erosion that can cause failure of a nearby levee. The conical shape provides relatively large surface area that inhibits clogging and allows each filter to be used for a range of different sand-boil sizes.
FILTER FOR REMOVING SEDIMENT FROM WATER
A system for removing sediment from water is disclosed. The exemplary embodiments described herein disclose a system with a chamber having a deck positioned inside to divide it into an upper chamber and a lower chamber. The deck may have a plurality of holes to hold filtration elements and also may have a ridge or a skirt or both. The filtration elements may be filter cartridges with multiple elongated filter elements that extend down into the lower chamber.
Filter assembly
A filter assembly includes a manifold with a base and a support ring. The support ring is received within the base such that the support ring is rotatable relative to the base. A housing of the filter cartridge has an interface positioned at an outer surface of the housing. The interface is configured to engage with a post of the support ring in order to mount the filter cartridge to the manifold.
FILTER ARRANGEMENT AND HALF COUPLING ELEMENT COMPRISING A FILTER ARRANGEMENT
A filter arrangement has a first body member with a first axial front surface and a first radial sealing surface, a second body member with a second axial front surface and a second radial sealing surface, a contact portion and an elastic contact element. The first and second body members complementarily couple together with a connecting device. In a coupled state, the contact portion and the elastic contact element are axially compressed between the first and second axial front surface. The second radial sealing surface has a groove housing a first sealing element. When brought into the coupled state, the first radial sealing surface at least partially covers the groove of the second radial sealing surface before the contact portion and elastic contact element are at least partially axially compressed between the first and second axial front surface. When coupled, the first radial sealing surface completely covering the groove.
Cylindrical filter screen with tensioning mechanism
A filter assembly including a filter screen (27) comprising a band (27) of porous material extending between two axially aligned opposing ends (38, 38) and defining a cylindrical periphery (29), wherein the ends (38, 38) are each secured to a dynamic tensioning mechanism (46) that permits the ends (38, 38) to move bi-directionally relative to one another about the periphery (29) of the filter screen (27).
FLUID FILTER WITH A VALVE UNIT
A fluid filter with a housing, a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, a central standpipe which forms the fluid outlet, a filter insert which is plugged onto the standpipe, and a valve unit which is arranged on the outer circumference of the standpipe. The valve unit has a valve seat, a valve body which can be moved in the axial direction of the standpipe, a valve spring which is guided on the standpipe and biases the valve body in the valve closing direction, and a valve spring support which is attached to the standpipe. The valve body is made of an elastomer body, and an intermediate valve ring which is guided on the standpipe in an axially movable manner, is arranged between the valve spring and the valve body.
Low Profile Radial Indexing Water Bowl with Integrated WIF/Connector
Filter assemblies and filter systems are provided. The filter assemblies are releasably attachable to a filter head of the filter system. The filter assemblies include filter elements having filter media and bowl for collecting water removed from filtered fluid. The filter element includes helical ramps for securing the bowl to the filter element. The bowl has tabs that engage the ramps for pulling the bowl into engagement with the filter element. The ramps may include retaining portions to prevent opposite rotation and disengagement. The filter element may include a plurality of angularly spaced apart ramps that cooperate with the tabs allowing the bowl to be mounted to the filter element in a variety of different angular orientations to allow for varying the angular position of a connector of a sensor relative to the filter element.
FLUID FILTER WITH A VALVE UNIT AND FILTER ELEMENT FOR USE IN THE FLUID FILTER
A fluid filter comprising a housing, a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a filter element separating a raw side and a clean side from one another, and a valve unit. The valve unit comprises a valve plate arranged concentrically in the housing and having the shape of a circular ring disc, having valve openings and a flexible circular-ring-disc-shaped valve membrane arranged on the valve plate. The filter element comprises an axially protruding pressure-exerting ring shaped as a circumferential annular collar on the end face thereof facing the valve unit when installed. When installed in the housing, the filter element, with an end face of the pressure-exerting ring, presses the valve membrane axially onto the valve plate. The valve membrane, with the membrane region thereof pressed by the pressure-exerting ring onto the valve plate, forms a seal separating the raw side from the clean side of the fluid filter.
