FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Method and apparatus are provided for treating and removing particulate matter from fluid or treating and removing fluid from a recoverable particulate matter from fluid circulating into, through and out of an industrial operation, and for washing a disposable cartridge filter used therein. The influent fluid is maintained at a flow rate such that the differential pressure across the cartridge filter is no greater than 10 psi to prevent the buildup of non-porous filter cake. A pressure detecting mechanism and method is also provided to detect the amount of deposited particulate matter inside the cartridge filter, so that an operator can determine whether the cartridge filter should be taken out to remove or recycle the deposited particulate matter.

Screen decanter for removing solids from wastewater
A screen decanter for screening solids from waste water in a waste water treatment system comprising a drain manifold and a plurality of cylindrical cartridges mounted to the drain manifold, each of the cylindrical cartridges having an outer screen defining a cavity. Each of the cartridges includes a drain standpipe disposed within the cavity in communication with the drain manifold. Each drain standpipe includes a plurality of patterned openings arranged in at least one row along the length and partial circumference thereof and preferably comprises three rows of patterned openings, each row being disposed at a 120 rotational angle from the adjacent row of patterned openings. Each drain standpipe is disposed at a 30 rotational angle from its neighbor drain standpipe such that no row of patterned openings in any of said drain standpipes faces directly at any other row of patterned openings in any other drain standpipe.
ENERGY REDUCTION AND MONITORING CONTROL SYSTEM FOR BACKWASHING MEDIA SYSTEMS
The present technology relates to control systems for use with fluid treatment systems. In one embodiment, for example, a fluid treatment system includes a vessel configured to receive a fluid having one or more constituents and to separate one or more constituents from the fluid. The system can also include a tube extending along at least a portion of the vessel and a sensor. The tube can be in fluid communication with a pressurized air source, and the sensor can be configured to obtain a measurement of an operating parameter. The system can also include a controller in communication with the sensor and pressurized air source. The controller can execute one or more algorithms to determine a filter parameter based on the measurement of the operating parameter, compare the filter parameter to a threshold, and, based on the comparison, activate or deactivate the pressurized air source.
FILTER CLEANING SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present invention discloses a method for self-cleaning filters without having to open the filter housing. Wash nozzles are integrated with the filter housings such that when the filters are clogged, both back-wash and regular washing can be performed with practically no down time. Moreover, without opening the filter housing, the hazardous components of the fluid to be filtered can be contained and dealt with before they escape the filter housing, thereby significantly reduces the environmental impact and harm to the working crew.
Media retention plate for a block underdrain system
A media retention plate for an underdrain system having one or more filter blocks. The plate can include a first slot configured to allow the passage of air and a second slot configured to allow the passage of water during an air backwash. The media retention plate is configured to facilitate the water to flow back into the one or more filter blocks through the second slot while maintaining air flow through the first slot to create an optimal collapse pulse. The first and second slots are evenly sized and evenly spaced apart to facilitate the creation of a relatively smaller-sized collapse pulse during a sequential air-water backwash. A plurality of inserts can be arranged along a perimeter of a basal portion of the bottom surface of the media retention plate. The inserts improve the structural integrity of and prevent uplift of the media retention plate.

Apparatus and method for cleaning metal filter
An apparatus for cleaning a metal filter comprises a cleaning bath having a predetermined size and connected to a cleaning solution tank, a jig which is vertically elevatable and horizontally slidable in the cleaning bath and to which the metal filter is fixed, a nozzle mounted so that a discharge hole thereof is faced upward in the cleaning bath, and a controller which controls supply and blocking of a cleaning solution from the cleaning solution tank to the cleaning bath, controls supply and blocking of compressed air or the water to the nozzle, controls movement of the jig, and controls filling or discharging of the water into/from the cleaning bath. The controller controls the movement of the jig and selectively controls the supply and blocking of the water, the cleaning solution, and the compressed air, and the draining of the cleaning bath according to predetermined logic.
Washing device and extraction system
Provided is a washing device that washes a filter of an extraction device with a fluid, the extraction device including an extraction tank for storing an extraction material, a lid body supported openably and closably at a lower portion of the extraction tank, and the filter which is provided on the lid body, and on which the extraction material is placed, the washing device including, a tube body which is disposed at a fixed position with respect to the extraction tank, and through which the fluid passes, and an ejection port provided on the tube body and injecting the fluid toward the filter when the lid body is in an open state.
