Filter element having a filter bellows
A filter element for fluids, including: a filter bellows made of a filter medium, the filter medium placed in the filter bellows along pleated edges in a zig-zag shape, in pleats that extend between opposite end edges of the filter bellows; wherein an end pleat having a pleated edge and an opposite free end margin is arranged on each opposite end face of the filter bellows, pleated edges that are consecutive along an end edge of a pleat end at opposite surfaces of the filter bellows; wherein a segment of one of the end edges extends obliquely to one of the pleated edges in such a manner that, in the one segment, the pleated edges on a first one of the opposite surfaces have a different length than the pleated edges of an opposite one of the opposite surfaces; and wherein the pleats are laterally sealed by the end edges.
FILTER WITH EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR MEDIA COMPONENTS AND METHOD OF FILTERING
The invention features a filtration segment having a top seal, a bottom seal and a primary filter core and the method of filtering with the design of the filtration segment. The primary filter core is operatively coupled to at least one opening which is located either on the top seal or on the bottom seal. The filtration segment also includes one or more interior filters surrounding the primary filter core. Each interior filter includes a filter material surrounding a secondary core which is operatively coupled to at least one opening which is located either on the top seal or on the bottom seal. Each filter may optionally include a retaining medium enclosing the filter material. The filtration segment has one or more layers of an exterior filter media which operatively surround the interior filters and are operatively coupled to the top seal and the bottom seal.
Self-supporting folded sheet material, filter elements, and methods
A pleated media pack includes a section of media configured into a tube defining an interior volume and an open opening at one end. A ratio of the pleat depth to a diameter of the opening is greater than 0.2. At least some of the pleats at one end of the media pack are inverted. In some examples, the pleats include major pleats alternating with minor pleats.
Filter Element and Filter Assembly
A filter element is provided with a support frame provided with a first end disk section and a second end disk section. A folded filter medium is connected to the support frame and arranged between the first end disk section and the second end disk section of the support frame. The first end disk section or the second end disk section has a face facing away from the filter medium. The support frame is provided with a fluid guiding channel that guides, when a fluid flow passes through the filter medium, the fluid along the face facing away from the filter medium. A filter assembly with such a filter element and a filter receptacle in which the filter element is exchangeably arranged is provided.
Pleated filter element
A filter element is provided with a folded bellows that has a first pleated section with parallel arranged first pleats and a second pleated section with parallel arranged second pleats. The first pleats of the first pleated section are positioned at an angle relative to the second pleats of the second pleated section. The end face edges of the first pleats of the first pleated section adjoin a first clean chamber. The end face edges of the second pleats of the second pleated section adjoin a second clean chamber. The second clean chamber is delimited by a longitudinal side of an edge-side pleat of the first pleated section. The first and second clean chambers are connected to each other. A filter insert with such a filter element is provided.
FILTER ELEMENT
The invention relates to a filter element consisting of at least two end caps (3, 5), between which extends a filter material (7), characterized in that the end caps (3, 5) have connection geometries (11, 13) for the connection to third components, the connection geometries differing from one another.
Filter insert piece comprising a pleated filter element
A filter insert piece has a filter element with first and second pleated sections each having parallel pleats. The first and second pleated sections each have an inflow side. A first flat outflow side of the first pleated section and a second flat outflow side of the second pleated section adjoin a common clean chamber of the filter element. A length of the pleats of the first and second pleated sections is such that a spacing of an outwardly positioned pleat end face of the pleats at the first or second inflow side, respectively, relative to the center axis increases or decreases monotonic from pleat to pleat. The respective end pleats of the first and of the second pleated sections have a different length extension measured from the outwardly positioned pleat end face of the first end pleats or the second end pleats relative to the center axis.
CORRUGATED FLUID INTAKE SCREEN
Corrugated screen filters and related method of fabrication whereby an available filter surface is increased so as to allow an increase a flow capacity of the corrugated screen filter. The corrugated screen filter can comprise a plurality of rods forming a series of alternate and angular ridges and grooves on a surface of the filter screen. The filter screen can be configured to have longitudinal corrugations only on an exterior surface of the filter screen or alternatively, the filter screen can be configured to have longitudinal corrugations only on an interior surface of the filter screen. The alternate angular ridges and grooves can form corrugations in a variety of configurations including, but not limited to, a sinusoidal wave structure, a triangular wave structure, a rectangular wave structure, a trapezoidal wave structure, or the like.
FILTER ASSEMBLY AND METHODS
A filter element includes at least first and second opposing pleated media sections and at least first and second support structures supporting, absent an inner liner, the at least first and second media sections and being layered between the at least first and second media sections. In another embodiment, the filter element includes a continuous construction of pleated media forming the first and second opposing pleated media sections, in which the pleats have portions of differing lengths, and a support structure within the interior volume supporting the first and second media sections. The filter element can be in the form of two racetracks, a V-pack, or two V-packs. The racetracks can be polygon shaped.
FILTER DEVICE
A filter device, having a support part (39, 43) and a filter part (1) that can be received therein, having at least one sealing device (17) that acts between the support part (39, 43) and the filter part (1), and having a securing device (53, 57, 61) for releasably connecting the support part (43) to the filter part (1), which securing device has a circumferential collar part (53) and, under the action of at least one energy store (61), exerts a force on the sealing device (17), which force seals the support part (39, 43) and the filter part (1) in a fluid-tight manner with respect to one another, wherein the support part (39, 43) has, at least on its end region oriented toward the securing device (53, 57, 61), another circumferential collar part (39), is characterized in that the collar part (53) of the securing device (53, 57, 61) is guided concentrically within the collar part (39) of the support part (39, 43) which is provided with a sealing system (41, 72).
