RECIRCULATION AQUACULTURE SYSTEM AND METHOD
The present disclosure provides a recirculation aquaculture system and method. The system includes a fish pond and a fiber turntable filtering system. The fiber turntable filtering system can implement can remove large particles in aquaculture water and regularly harvest microalgae, water quality after treatment reaches a fishery aquaculture standard, and 97% of the aquaculture water can be directly recycled. In the present disclosure, during in-situ culture of microalgae and fish, microalgae can convert CO.sub.2 exhaled by fish and nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus in the aquaculture water into substances of algae cells, such as proteins, polysaccharides, vitamins, and lipids, and release oxygen, so as to quickly improve quality of the aquaculture water; in-situ culture of the microalgae and the fish gives play to the advantages of high photosynthetic efficiency of the microalgae, and the fast-growing microalgae provide a suitable growth environment for the fish.
FILTRATION DEVICE
Provided is a filtration device including: a filter unit having a filter medium; and a holder configured to hold the filter unit and form a flow path in which a fluid passes through the filter medium of the filter unit, wherein a pore size of the filter medium at the downstream end position of the filter unit is smaller than a pore size of the filter medium at the upstream end position of the filter unit.
Method and apparatus for monitoring medication adherence
A system and method for positioning a pill to be ingested by a user in a field of view of an image acquisition camera. The method includes the steps of determining a desired location of the mouth of a user in a field of view of an image acquisition camera, determining a current position of a pill to be ingested by the user in the field of view of the image acquisition apparatus, and indicating on a display a movement to be made by the user to move the pill towards mouth of the user.
Fluid filtration apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for filtering a liquid utilize a filter apparatus including a bypass filter, a full flow filter, and a flow balancing element for dividing a total inlet flow of fluid to the filter apparatus into a bypass portion, passing through the bypass filter, and a full flow portion, passing through the full flow filter. The bypass filter has a lower filtering efficiency than the full flow filter element, so that a venturi tube is not required for causing the bypass portion to pass through the bypass filter. The flow balancing element divides the flow into a desired bypass portion and a desired full flow portion, at a predetermined operating temperature. Below the operating temperature, the bypass portion increases and the full flow portion decreases, the bypass portion becoming greater than the full flow portion at a second predetermined temperature below the operating temperature.
FILTER DEVICE FOR AN OIL FILTER
The present invention relates to a filter device for filtration of oil, comprising a first filtration layer, a second filtration layer, and a frame element, whereinthe frame element is arranged in a sandwich-like manner between the first filtration layer and the second filtration layer, and whereinthe frame element has a multitude of passage orifices, such that a number of intermediate chambers corresponding to the multitude of passage orifices is formed between the first filtration layer and the second filtration layer, wherein the filter device is characterized in that the frame element comprises an oil-permeable filter medium, by means of which filtration of the oil passing therethrough is effected.
FILTER MEDIA SUITABLE FOR HYDRAULIC APPLICATIONS
Filter media, including those suitable for hydraulic applications, and related components, systems, and methods associated therewith are provided. The filter media described herein may include two or more layers, at least one of the layers having a relatively high percentage of microglass fibers. Additionally, the filter media may be designed such that the ratio of average fiber diameters between two layers is relatively small, which can lead to a relatively low resistance ratio between the layers. In some embodiments, at least one layer of the filter media comprises synthetic polymer fibers. Certain filter media described herein may have desirable properties including high dirt holding capacity and a low resistance to fluid flow. The media may be incorporated into a variety of filter element products including hydraulic filters.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OIL FILTRATION IN BYPASS MODE
A filter cartridge having a bypass filtration media is described. The filter cartridge includes main filtration media. In some arrangements, the main filtration media includes first filtration media and second filtration media that has a different filtering efficiency than the first filtration media. The filter cartridge is configured to be installed in a filtration system having a bypass mode. While in the bypass mode, fluid passing through the filtration system is allowed to bypass the main filtration media. To avoid unfiltered fluid from passing from the inlet of filtration system to the outlet (e.g., and on to an internal combustion engine), the fluid flows through the bypass filtration media (e.g., during cold start conditions). In some arrangements, the bypass filtration media has a lower filtering efficiency than the main filtration media.
The filter media has desirable properties including high dirt holding capacity with low basis weight and a low resistance to fluid flow. The media may be incorporated into a variety of filter element products including hydraulic filters.
