Filter and removable cartridge including a bypass valve
The filter for the purification of a liquid of a combustion engine, particularly lubricating oil, includes a housing that has, in a bottom part, an inlet for raw liquid and an outlet for purified liquid, and an unscrewable lid. A cartridge, defined by a filtering insert and a preassembled bypass valve, is received in the housing. The insert has a flange for fixing the valve, covering an end of the filtering medium. The bypass valve can be separated from the cover such that the cartridge can be removed. The valve has a removable connection element that axially engages with a complementary securing component formed on the flange, in a locking configuration obtained by a pivoting action.
OIL FILTER COMPRISING A HYDRAULIC RESISTANCE
Oil filtration unit for removal of contaminants from oil including a housing with an inlet to receive contaminated oil from surroundings and release oil to an inner opening at a first pressure, an outlet adapted to release filtered oil to surroundings, and an oil filter for filtering oil in the inner opening of the housing. The oil filter includes an inlet with an outer surface, an inner volume to receive filtered oil at a second pressure lower than the first pressure, and an outlet inside the housing providing fluid/liquid communication between the inner volume and the housing outlet. The filter outlet includes a hydraulic resistance providing a fluid/liquid flow restriction between the inner volume and the housing outlet to increase the second pressure inside the inner filter volume and release the oil from the inner filter volume to the housing outlet at a third pressure lower than the second pressure.
FILTER SYSTEM, POSITIONING MECHANISM, FILTER ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR INSERTING AND POSITIONING A FILTER ELEMENT
A filter system may include a housing, a filter element, and a separate positioning mechanism. The housing may include an opening, a function carrier, a drain opening, and a radially protruding contour. The filter element may include a first end disc, a second end disk, and a filter material disposed between the first end disk and the second end disk. The first end disk may include at least one of a radially projecting contour and an inwardly projecting recess. The second end disk may include a central opening and an eccentrically projecting locking pin. The central opening may be adapted to interact with the function carrier. The positioning mechanism may have a body with a first recess and at least one second recess, which may be configured to facilitate positioning and aligning the filter element in the housing such that the locking pin engages in the drain opening.
HEAT ACTIVATED ADHESIVE FOR FILTERS THAT MAY CONTAIN MULTIPLE ELEMENTS
A filter element comprises one or more several tubular filter media element segments, which may be pleated filter media ring segments. One or more heat activated disks are used to connect each tubular filter media element segments together and/or to connect tubular filter media element segments with one or more end cap supports. The heat activated disks are solid in form for assembly with tubular filter media ring segment and then heat activated to bond with tubular filter media ring segments. Multiple end caps can be simultaneously bonded to one or more tubular filter media element segments if a filter stack assembly of component are heated together, such as in an oven. Filter media may also be simultaneously cured. Heat activated disks may be used as pleat stabilizers and/or for and/or as part of end caps.
Aqueous fluid filter assembly with aeration mitigation
An aqueous fluid filter assembly with aeration mitigation includes a cap, a bowl engaging the cap and defining a filter volume, and a filter element disposed in the filter volume. The filter element is sealed against an interior of the cap and an interior of the bowl to provide an unfiltered volume and a filtered volume. An inlet is in fluid communication with the unfiltered volume and an outlet is in fluid communication with the filtered volume via a pickup section. The pickup section has a pick-up section inlet extending into the filtered volume and an air-metering orifice, wherein the air-metering orifice has a diameter less than 30% of the diameter of the pick-up section inlet and the pick-up section inlet is located below the air-metering orifice.
Filter arrangement
A filter arrangement may include a filter housing and a ring filter element arranged in the filter housing. The ring filter element may include an upper end plate, a lower end plate, and a filter material arranged therebetween. An axially projecting pin may be disposed on the lower end plate and may engage into a channel on a filter housing side. The filter arrangement may also include a tubular dome which may engage into an interior of the ring filter element. The tubular dome may have a guide contour. The guide contour may cooperate with a guide element arranged on the ring filter element and may have an axial groove. The guide contour may be configured as at least one of a circular ramp and a chamfered cannula. On the upper end plate, an axial stop may project into the interior of the ring filter element.
Manifold with movable connectology
Filter cartridges and manifold blocks for filter manifold systems are described. The filter cartridges include flanges surrounding openings at first and second ends of the filter cartridge, with face seals in the flanges. Manifold blocks include end blocks, at least one of which is movable so that the distance between the end blocks can be changed. When a filter cartridge is installed into the manifold by engagement of the flanges with slots in the manifold end blocks, a fluid pathway is formed through a first manifold end block, into the filter cartridge, through the filter cartridge, out of the filter cartridge and into a second manifold end block. The fluid pathway is sealed by the face seals where the flow is from a manifold end block into or out of the filter cartridge.
Oil filter and filter cartridge for an oil filter of a motor vehicle
An oil filter for a motor vehicle has a filter cartridge which is disposed in an oil filter housing of the oil filter. The filter cartridge has a channel for filtered oil which is surrounded at least regionally by a filter material in the radial direction. At least one through opening is formed in a wall of the channel. An emergence of filtered oil via the at least one through opening into a channel for the filtered oil provided on sides of the oil filter housing is preventable by bringing the filter cartridge into a first position. An inlet into the channel provided on sides of the oil filter housing fluidically connectable to the at least one through opening by bringing the filter cartridge into a second position in which the filter cartridge is shifted relative to the first position in an axial direction.
Filter cartridge with command device
A filter cartridge of a filter group of a fluid of a vehicle extending along a main axis has a base assembly and engagement members, including first engagement members in the filter cartridge and second engagement members in the base assembly, shaped to block each other. The filter cartridge extends along a cartridge axis and includes an engagement plane on which the first engagement members are made having tooth elements diametrically opposite the cartridge axis. Each tooth element extends from the engagement plane parallel to the cartridge axis, having a stalk and a head. In the blocking configuration, the second engagement members engage the head. Each tooth element is radially elastically yielding, so the blocking configuration is achievable following radial movement of the tooth element. The first engagement members include for each tooth element a command device extending radially. Radial movement of the tooth element actuates the command device.
Ring filter element
A ring filter element for a filter device may include a connecting region and an axially projecting pin. The pin may include an arm via which the pin is connected to the connecting region. The arm may include a predetermined breaking point disposed spaced apart from the connecting region.
