A filter assembly for fluidic connection at a function port includes a connection base having a base inlet and a base outlet, the base inlet being fluidly connected to supply channels for supplying a fluid to cartridge inlets of at least two filter cartridges, and the base outlet being fluidly connected to discharge channels to discharge the fluid from cartridge outlets of the filter cartridges. The connection base with the base inlet and the base outlet has a fluidic connection structure corresponding to the filter cartridge with the cartridge inlet and the cartridge outlet such that the connection base or a filter cartridge is fluidly connected at the function port.

Filtration systems, filter elements and methods with wireless power transmission and separate signal output

Aspects herein include filter elements and filtration systems. In an embodiment, a filter element for a filtration system is included. The filter element can include a filter body and a filter media disposed within the filter body. A wireless power receiver can be associated with the filter body. The wireless power receiver can include a receiving antenna, a control circuit in electrical communication with the wireless power receiver, and a feedback channel circuit in communication with the control circuit and configured to transmit through a channel separate from the receiving antenna. Other embodiments are also included herein.

Filter Assembly

A filter assembly comprises a filter element, and a mount having at least one port. Each of the filter element and mount has inter-engaging connection formations, where the filter element and mount can be detachably connected to one another. The mount defines a flow path between the port and filter element when the element is connected to the mount and includes a link element which can slide relative to the mount between retracted and deployed positions. The link element has one of a lug and an inclined ramp surface, and the filter element has the other of the lug and ramp surface. The lug and ramp surface form a cam drive where the lug engages the ramp surface as the filter element and mount are assembled, and slide along the surface when the element is rotated to draw the link element out of the mount towards its deployed position.

A head for a water filter cartridge has a cap with an open end configured to mate with a filter body. An axial tube extends along the cap's longitudinal axis. First and second lateral tubes extend laterally from the cap. The first lateral tube intersects the first axial tube and places those tubes in fluid communication. The second lateral tube intersects the cap to place the second lateral tube in fluid communication with an inside of the cap. The first and second lateral tubes have a sidewall opening to allow fluid communication with a manifold. A tubular fitting intersects at least one of the cap or first lateral tube and is on the longitudinal axis, aligned with the first axial tube. The fitting has a closed end which, when removed, allows flushing of the axial tube and an attached filter.

Modular filtration platform

A modular filtration platform having at least one manifold head and at least one respective filter cartridge assembly. Each manifold head is connected to one another to establish a water flow in a series or parallel manner. Each filter cartridge assembly is releasably secured from rotation relative to the manifold head by a locking mechanism. An aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar mates with a protruding resilient extension on either the manifold head or support bracket. Alternatively, an aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar and an aperture on the manifold head annular collar mate with a protruding member from a locking ring extending through both apertures. An integrated sensor package may be integrated with the system for true managed water visible/audible indications and Wi-Fi interface to facilitate virtually instantaneous response times for filtration needs.

FILTER INTERCONNECT UTILIZING A MAGNETIC REPULSION FORCE

A filtration system interconnection structure includes a filter manifold and a filter cartridge in magnetic communication produced by two complementary correlated magnets capable of generating a magnetic force when in close proximity to one another. The filter magnet polarity transitions are aligned with the manifold magnet polarity transitions such that a repulsion force is generated between the magnets when the filter cartridge is inserted within the manifold sump. The magnetic repulsion force may be used to move a blocking mechanism or actuate a latch structure in the manifold to secure the filter cartridge within the manifold sump upon insertion, or to provide non-contacting actuation of a downstream valve so as to permit or prevent the flow of fluid. Utilizing correlated magnetism in a filter interconnect further provides enhanced authentication and/or anti-counterfeiting means to ensure that only authorized or OEM filter cartridges can be installed.

Filter having a filter bypass valve, and filter insert therefor

A filter having a filter housing, an inlet for liquid to be filtered and an outlet for filtered liquid. An exchangeable filter insert separates an unfiltered side and a filtered side of the filter. A filter bypass valve has a valve seat and a valve body guided so as to be movable relative to the valve seat and preloaded in the closing direction. The valve seat is fixed to the filter. The valve body is guided in the filter so as to be fixed to the filter. A spring that preloads the valve body in the closing direction is guided in the filter so as to be fixed to the filter. The filter insert has a spring support that, in the state in which the insert is placed into the filter housing, supports and pre-stresses the spring at its end facing away from the valve body.

FILTER ELEMENT WITH TORSION LOCK AND ASSEMBLY

A liquid filter in the form of a filter element or a filter cartridge provides torsion locking relative to a filter head when the housing of such filter is threaded onto a filter head. Many embodiments employ a filter that includes a nipple portion at a top end with the torsion lock detent provided outboard of the nipple portion or integrated into the nipple portion. Many embodiments employ a simplified shoulder transition region at the top end of a torsion locked filter element. Valve actuation and/or filter differentiation is used in some embodiments. Different torsion locking arrangements, deformable thread profiles and other liquid filter features are disclosed.
