Modular filtration platform
A modular filtration platform having at least one manifold head and at least one respective filter cartridge assembly. Each manifold head is connected to one another to establish a water flow in a series or parallel manner. Each filter cartridge assembly is releasably secured from rotation relative to the manifold head by a locking mechanism. An aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar mates with a protruding resilient extension on either the manifold head or support bracket. Alternatively, an aperture on the filter cartridge assembly annular collar and an aperture on the manifold head annular collar mate with a protruding member from a locking ring extending through both apertures. An integrated sensor package may be integrated with the system for true managed water visible/audible indications and Wi-Fi interface to facilitate virtually instantaneous response times for filtration needs.
Filter Assembly and Media
The present disclosure relates to a filter housing having a bowl and a head. The bowl is configured to house a portion of a filter cartridge. The bowl has an annular groove disposed about a rim of the bowl. The head is configured to mate with the bowl. The head includes an inlet, outlet, and a pair of levers. The inlet is to receive a flow of fluid into the filter housing. The outlet is to release the flow of fluid from the filter housing. The pair of levers are to draw the bowl partially into the head. Each lever has a first arm configured to mate with the annular groove, a second arm having a bearing surface, and a pivot disposed between the first arm and the second arm. A force upon the bearing surface urges the bowl into the head to form a seal.
Filter insert for a filter having a filter bypass valve, and a method of using the filter insert
An exchangeable filter insert that separates an unfiltered side and a filtered side of a filter, the filter having a filter housing, an inlet for liquid to be filtered and an outlet for filtered liquid. A filter bypass valve has a valve seat and a valve body guided so as to be movable relative to the valve seat and preloaded in the closing direction. The valve seat is fixed to the filter. The valve body is guided in the filter so as to be fixed to the filter. A spring that preloads the valve body in the closing direction is guided in the filter so as to be fixed to the filter. The filter insert has a spring prestresser support that, in the state in which the insert is placed into the filter housing, supports and pre-stresses the spring at its end facing away from the valve body.
Liquid filter assembly
The disclosure pertains to a filter assembly comprising a base, a cover, and a cylindrical filter element, the base being adapted to receive the cover with the filter element inserted therein. The base has an outlet orifice with a first sealing zone, and a drainage orifice with a second sealing zone. The filter element comprises an outlet tube with a first sealing element, and a drainage plug with a second sealing element, said outlet tube and said drainage plug being positioned to sealingly engage with said first sealing zone and said second sealing zone, respectively, when the base receives the cover. An axial distance (A) between the first sealing element and the second sealing element is different from an axial distance (B) between an end of the first sealing zone and an end of the second sealing zone facing the filter element. The present disclosure also pertains to a filter element for use in such a filter assembly.
Press-in filter spud that is free to spin
A filter element, filter head, a filter system and methods of assembling or mounting a filter element to a filter head are provided. The filter element and filter head have cooperating axially undulating sealing regions. The filter head has a spud that has a non-cylindrical region that extends through a non-circular opening in the filter element to communicate a central bore of the spud with a central cavity defined by filter media of the filter element. The method includes angularly aligning the undulating sealing regions by inserting the non-cylindrical region of the spud through the non-circular opening of the filter element.

A filter base for receiving a mating filter housing assembly having a base platform having fluid ingress and egress stanchions, and a wire harness assembly including a connector housing integral with or connected to the base platform for establishing an electrical connection between the filter base and the mating filter housing assembly. The wire harness assembly having conductors extending between first and second connectors, with one or more resilient contacts provided on the second connector. The contacts are flexible from a first position to a second position when curved contact sections of the one or more contacts engage a mating connection surface of the complementary mating filter housing assembly. The mating connection surface may be a circuit pad of a printed circuit board, wherein the contact curved contact sections are configured to be positioned in mechanical and electrical engagement with the circuit pads when the filter housing assembly is received within the filter base.
FILTER INTERCONNECT UTILIZING A MAGNETIC REPULSION FORCE
A filtration system interconnection structure includes a filter manifold and a filter cartridge in magnetic communication produced by two complementary correlated magnets capable of generating a magnetic force when in close proximity to one another. The filter magnet polarity transitions are aligned with the manifold magnet polarity transitions such that a repulsion force is generated between the magnets when the filter cartridge is inserted within the manifold sump. The magnetic repulsion force may be used to move a blocking mechanism or actuate a latch structure in the manifold to secure the filter cartridge within the manifold sump upon insertion, or to provide non-contacting actuation of a downstream valve so as to permit or prevent the flow of fluid. Utilizing correlated magnetism in a filter interconnect further provides enhanced authentication and/or anti-counterfeiting means to ensure that only authorized or OEM filter cartridges can be installed.
Spin-on fluid treatment device and methods
The disclosure pertains to a spin-on fluid treatment device, including a treatment medium disposed within a housing, a top surface having an internally threaded bore and an outlet tube at least partially disposed inside said threaded bore in a concentric position. The outlet tube can have an externally oriented sealing portion for engaging with a complementary element of an inlet spud of an entity that receives said treated fluids. The outlet tube can be configured as an alignment feature to guide the treatment device onto the inlet spud during installation. The outlet tube can be configured with both an externally oriented sealing portion and an alignment feature. The disclosure also pertains to a system comprising a machine having a treatment device head and a spin-on fluid treatment device, a kit, a spin-on fluid filter cartridge, and a method of mounting a spin-on filter cartridge onto a filter head.
Pipeline filter
A pipeline filter assembly comprising a base assembly, an outer wall, and a lid assembly. The outer wall has a lower end portion and an upper end portion, wherein the upper end portion comprises a lower collar, and the lower collar comprises at least one lock notch spaced around an exterior surface thereof. The lid assembly is configured to couple to the lower collar of the outer wall. The lid assembly has an upper collar configured to threadedly mate with the lower collar. The upper collar has at least one housing that projects from the upper collar, the housing having an interior surface, and at least one biasing clip pivotally mounted within the housing for releasable engagement with the lock notch. A pair of pipeline filter assemblies, wherein at least one connection plate is used.
