FILTER MEDIA INCLUDING ADHESIVES AND/OR OLEOPHOBIC PROPERTIES
Articles and methods involving filter media are generally provided. In certain embodiments, the filter media includes at least a first layer, a second layer, and an adhesive resin positioned between the first layer and the second layer. In some embodiments, the first layer may be a pre-filter layer or a support layer. The second layer may, for example, comprise fibers formed by a solution spinning process and/or may comprise fine fibers. In some embodiments, the adhesive resin may be present in a relatively low amount and/or may have a low glass transition temperature. The filter media as a whole may have one or more advantageous properties, including one or more of a high stiffness, a high bond strength between the first layer and the second layer, a high gamma, and/or a low increase in air resistance after being subjected to an IPA vapor discharge. The filter media may be, for example, a HEPA filter and/or an ULPA filter.
FILTER MEDIA WITH IRREGULAR STRUCTURE AND/OR REVERSIBLY STRETCHABLE LAYERS
Articles and methods relating to filter media are generally provided. In some embodiments, a filter media has an irregular surface structure. For instance, the filter media may comprise a plurality of peaks that are irregular in one or more ways. A ratio of a peak height standard deviation to an average peak height may be greater than or equal to 0.05, and/or a ratio of a peak spacing standard deviation to an average peak spacing may be greater than or equal to 0.08. In some embodiments, a filter media comprises a non-woven fiber web having a layer thickness of greater than 0.3 mm and/or a stiffness of less than or equal to 100 mg.

PEELABLE FILTERS PERMITTING DAMAGE FREE REMOVAL
The present disclosure provides filters that can be removed from surfaces without damage by having reduced or eliminated contribution of a core backing to peel force generated by the adhesive during removal. In some instances, this can be accomplished by a core that loses structural integrity in a direction normal to a plane defined by a major surface. In other instances, the contribution is reduced by compromising the interface between the core and a peelable adhesive layer.
FILTER MEDIUM FOR FILTER AND FILTER
The filter medium for a filter of the present invention has a laminate structure in which a long-fiber non-woven fabric and a wet non-woven fabric are stacked, wherein the wet non-woven fabric comprises vinylon, polyester, and polyvinyl alcohol, is disposed on a most upstream side of air flow, has a surface located on the most upstream side of air flow, the surface having a surface roughness (SMD) not larger than 2.7 μm, and has a surface stacked on the long-fiber non-woven fabric, the surface having (a) a surface roughness (SMD) not smaller than 3.0 μm or (b) a rough texture (MMD) not lower than 0.02.
Acoustically resistive supported membrane assemblies including at least one support structure
Water impermeable, air permeable membrane assemblies are described herein. In some embodiments, the assemblies include a polymer membrane and at least one support structure. Certain assemblies are configured to provide an acoustic impedance having phase angle of +45 degrees to −45 over a frequency range of 50 to 20,000 Hz.
FILTER MATERIAL USED FOR AUTOMOBILE AIR CONDITIONING AND CAPABLE OF FILTERING OUT VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND (VOC) GAS, AND PROCESS THEREOF
The present disclosure provides a filter material used for automobile air conditioning and capable of filtering out volatile organic compound (VOC) gas, including a sandwich structure (100) and an activated carbon fiber (ACF) non-woven fabric layer (200) located at one side of the sandwich structure (100), where, the ACF non-woven fabric layer (200) is composed of interleaved ACFs, and the ACF non-woven fabric layer (200) is compounded with the sandwich structure (100) via hot melt adhesive (HMA) (210).
HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE, EXHAUST GAS PURIFYING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING HONEYCOMB STRUCTURE
A pillar shaped honeycomb structure, including: an outer peripheral wall; and porous partition walls disposed inside the outer peripheral wall, the partition walls defining a plurality of cells, each of the cells penetrating from one end face to other end face to form a flow path, wherein one or both of the one end face and the other end face includes a groove portion; and wherein at least one annular conductive loop containing a conductive material is embedded in the groove portion.
WASHABLE AND REUSABLE FACE MASK WITH REPLACEABLE FILTER
A face mask include a bulbous area that reduces contact between the wearer and the mask, with the inner surface texture and material adapted to be comfortable to the wearer. The bulbous area may be equipped with a filter retained by slots at the edge of the bulbous area, with the inner surface texture and material of the filter also adapted to be comfortable to the wearer. The mask may be knit with seamless transitions between wearer-contacting surfaces and the bulbous area, which enhance the comfort of the mask. The mask may include silvered yarns for antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, the bulbous area increases the effective surface area of the mask on both inhalation and exhalation, unlike pleats that collapse on inhalation.
