Apparatus and method for treatment of exhaust gas
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method of removing pollutants from exhaust gas by wet scrubbing process. In a scrubber apparatus of the present disclosure, an exhaust gas is first scrubbed in a primary mixing zone, the partially scrubbed gas discharged from the primary mixing zone is subsequently mixed forcibly in a secondary mixing zone before being discharged for polishing, demisting and/or reheating.
COMPLEX MALODOR REMOVING EQUIPMENT
A complex malodor removing equipment includes: a neutralizing module which dissolves a portion of malodor-causing substances, in malodorous gas introduced from malodor-producing equipment, in liquid water and removes same, which includes an acidity neutralizing module that introduces an alkaline substance from outside and removes an acidic malodor-causing substance from the malodor-causing substances, and an alkaline neutralizing module that introduces an acidic substance from outside and removes an alkaline malodor-causing substance from the malodor-causing substances, and which connects the acidity neutralizing module and the alkaline neutralizing module; and a balancing module which dissolves the remainder of the malodor-causing substances, in the malodorous gas introduced from the neutralizing module, in water and removes same, which includes an oxidation balancing module that introduces an oxidizing agent from outside and balances the malodor-causing substances, and a reduction balancing module that introduces a reducing agent from outside and balances the malodor-causing substances.
CLEAN-AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE CLEAN-AIR FILTRATION SYSTEM
A clean-air filtration system has a main pipe with an entry for attaching to an exhaust source and an exit. The main pipe has a plurality of openings for dispersing water within the main pipe. A water source is connected to the main pipe and supplying water to the openings. A particulate interceptor is connected to the main pipe for removing particulates from an exhaust flow. A particulate storage unit is connected to the particulate interceptor.
WET AIR PURIFIER
Disclosed is a wet air purifier that eliminates contaminants while contaminated air passes therethrough by causing the contaminated air to come into contact with water. The wet air purifier suctions external air by rotating a rotary fan installed therein and disperses water droplets by causing water to collide with a rotary fan to increase a contact surface between air and water. In the wet air purifier, a mixture of the contaminated external air and the water is made to pass through a long narrow passage and guided to a storage tank in which contaminants are settled. In this way, the wet air purifier increases a retention time and a collision time of water and contaminated air. The wet air purifier also can function as a humidifier.
Wet Scrubber Apparatus
A wet scrubber apparatus has a housing with access doors and guides that allow for the installation of self-contained baffle modules. Selected baffle modules can to be inserted, exchanged, removed or left blank (no baffles) within the wet scrubber housing, depending on the desired process. The wet scrubber allows for variable performance and feature-enhancing for a target efficiency and effectiveness. The wet scrubber can incorporate a pump and pipe manifold fluidizer design that can spray water or fluid up onto the modules during operation of the wet scrubber to keep collected material off the baffles. Water can be sprayed throughout the modules onto the baffles during operation, or when the scrubber is offline, isolated from the gas to be scrubbed, during a cleaning operation. This water or fluid can come from an outside source or can be piped and valved to recirculate existing scrub water or fluid.
Marine exhaust gas cleaning system
A marine exhaust gas scrubbing device including an enclosure having a first end and a second end, an exhaust gas inlet, at least one quencher, at least one pre-treater, at least one venturi component including a venturi inlet and a venturi outlet, an impingement basket, at least one demister, an exhaust gas outlet, and a receiver, and a process for scrubbing a marine exhaust gas including cooling the exhaust gas, pre-treating the exhaust gas, washing the exhaust gas, mixing the exhaust gas and exhausting the scrubbed exhaust gas.
Apparatus and method for reducing air pollution from exhaust
An apparatus for reducing air pollution includes a piping system, at least one compressor fan, a cooling system, and a tank having at least one first filter and at least one second filter separated by at least one intermediary member. The piping system is coupled to a cooling system adapted to saturate the exhaust with water. The exhaust and contaminated water flow downward into the tank containing at least one first filter and at least one second filter separated by at least one intermediary member where the exhaust and the contaminated water are filtered. The cleaned water is recirculated through the cooling system, and the exhaust is filtered a second time through the at least one second filter, the at least one intermediary member, and the at least one first filter prior to release into the atmosphere. A method for reducing air pollution from exhaust is also provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING MOLD-RESISTANT PAPER WITH WET SCRUBBER ASSEMBLY
Embodiments of a system and a method for preparing mold-resistant paper comprising a wet scrubber assembly in fluid communication with at least one collection plenum disposed at an operational area of a paper manufacturing line. The wet scrubber assembly can be operated to draw a stream of exhaust air from the operational area of the paper manufacturing line through the wet scrubber assembly to remove particulate from the exhaust stream. Such systems and methods can be used to produce mold-resistant paper by coating a paper with an antimicrobial composition including at least one antimicrobial additive at the calendering stage. The collection plenum can be placed in proximate relationship with the calendering stack such that the amount of antimicrobial additive particulate in the air at the calendering stage is reduced. The mold-resistant paper can be used in a gypsum panel.
