Molybdenum based catalyst supported on titania-modified zeolite
A supported catalyst having catalytic species including molybdenum as well as cobalt and/or vanadium as a promoter disposed on a support material containing zeolite modified with titanium dioxide. Various methods of preparing and characterizing the supported catalyst are disclosed. The utilization of the catalyst in treating a hydrocarbon feedstock containing sulfur compounds (e.g. dibenzothiophene) to produce a desulfurized hydrocarbon stream is also provided.
WASTE GAS ABATEMENT TECHNOLOGY FOR SEMICONDUCTOR PROCESSING
A semiconductor waste abatement system for a semiconductor processing system includes a vacuum pump, an abatement apparatus having an abatement chamber in fluid communication with a source of semiconductor waste gas from the semiconductor processing chamber, and with the abatement chamber configured to ionize the waste gas and to exhaust ionized gas. The abatement system further includes a filter apparatus with a filter chamber, which forms a liquid reservoir. The inlet of the filter apparatus is in fluid communication with the outlet of the abatement chamber and the liquid reservoir, and the outlet of the filter apparatus is in communication with the inlet of the vacuum pump, wherein the filter chamber is under a vacuum, and wherein semiconductor waste gas is ionized in the abatement chamber and then filtered by the filter apparatus prior to input to the vacuum pump.
Method for treating sulfur hexafluoride using radiation and apparatus for collecting and treating by-products
Provided are a method for treating sulfur hexafluoride and an apparatus for collecting and treating by-products. The method for treating sulfur hexafluoride, and the apparatus for collecting and treating by-products according to the present invention are a significantly effective method and apparatus capable of safely treating sulfur hexafluoride at low cost.
Thermal- and photo-assisted aftertreatment of nitrogen oxides
Systems and methods for treating automotive vehicle emissions on board an automotive vehicle include the use of waste heat recovery, electrochemical water splitting, phototcatalytic water splitting, and selective catalytic reduction. Waste heat recovery is used to power electrochemical water splitting, or photocatalytic water splitting. Photons collected from a solar panel are used in photocatalytic water splitting, or in photo-assisted selective catalytic reduction. Hydrogen gas generated by water splitting is used in conjunction with catalytic reduction units to catalytically reduce NOx in an engine exhaust gas.
DEVICE AND SYSTEM FOR DECOMPOSING AND OXIDIZING GASEOUS POLLUTANT
The invention provides a device and system for decomposing and oxidizing of gaseous pollutants. A novel reaction portion reduces particle formation in fluids during treatment, thereby improving the defect of particle accumulation in a reaction portion. Also, the system includes the device, wherein a modular design enables the system to have the advantage of easy repair and maintenance.

Method for the removal of oxygen from an industrial gas feed
Oxygen is removed from a gas feed such as a landfill gas, a digester gas or an industrial CO.sub.2 off-gas by heating the feed gas, optionally removing siloxanes and silanols from the heated feed gas, optionally removing part of the sulfur-containing compounds in the heated feed gas, injecting one or more reactants for oxygen conversion into the heated feed gas, carrying out a selective catalytic conversion of any or all of the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) present in the gas, including sulfur-containing compounds, chlorine-containing compounds and any of the reactants injected, in at least one suitable reactor, and cleaning the resulting oxygen-depleted gas. The reactants to be injected comprise one or more of H.sub.2, CO, ammonia, urea, methanol, ethanol and dimethyl ether (DME).
