PROCESSES FOR REGENERATING SORBENTS, AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS
Processes for regenerating sorbents at high temperatures, and associated systems, are generally described.
MINERAL ENTRAINED PLASTIC FORMULATIONS AS PUNCTURING ELEMENTS
Puncture elements and methods for using the same are disclosed. The puncture elements according to the disclosed concept include a cutting edge or a sharp and are composed of a mineral loaded polymer. The minerals of the mineral loaded polymer include an active agent, such as a desiccant. Optionally, the puncture elements are used to puncture a cover (e.g., foil seal) of a package.
Systems and methods for air revitalization
An air revitalization system may include a humidity control device configured to remove water vapor from air within a pressurized enclosed volume. The system may further include an inlet duct configured to transport the air from the pressurized enclosed volume to the humidity control device. The system may also include an outlet duct configured to transport the air from the humidity control device to the pressurized enclosed volume. The system may include a sublimator configured to cool the air within the pressurized enclosed volume while generating additional water vapor. The system may further include a vacuum vent duct configured to transport the water vapor from the humidity control device and the additional water vapor from the sublimator to an exterior of the pressurized enclosed volume.
SEPARATION METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OXIDATIVE COUPLING OF METHANE
The present disclosure provides a method for generating higher hydrocarbon(s) from a stream comprising compounds with two or more carbon atoms (C.sub.2+), comprising introducing methane and an oxidant (e.g., O.sub.2) into an oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) reactor. The OCM reactor reacts the methane with the oxidant to generate a first product stream comprising the C.sub.2+ compounds. The first product stream can then be directed to a separations unit that recovers at least a portion of the C.sub.2+ compounds from the first product stream to yield a second product stream comprising the at least the portion of the C.sub.2+ compounds.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR FIXING CARBON DIOXIDE, AND FUEL GAS DESULFURIZATION FACILITY
Provided are an absorbing column in which flue gas containing sulfur oxides is desulfurized by seawater and a reactor vessel in which alkali earth metal or alkali metal is added to the seawater having absorbed the sulfur oxides from the flue gas in the absorbing column to produce a compound which is stable like minerals.
Gas adsorbing material particle, gas adsorbing material body, making method of the same and vacuum insulation material including the same
A gas adsorbing material particle includes an additive material particle having a moisture adsorption property; and a layer of a gas adsorbing metal disposed on a surface of the additive material particle, wherein the gas adsorbing metal is inactivated by moisture and adsorbs a target gas, wherein an average thickness of the layer of the metal is less than or equal to about 37 micrometers.
TREATMENT OF ACID GASES USING MOLTEN ALKALI METAL BORATES, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF SEPARATION
The removal of acid gases (e.g., non-carbon dioxide acid gases) using sorbents that include salts in molten form, and related systems and methods, are generally described.
POROUS CERAMIC STRUCTURE FOR CARBON DIOXIDE CAPTURE
In one inventive concept, a product includes a three dimensional ceramic structure having an open cell structure with a plurality of pores, wherein the pores connect through the ceramic structure from one side of the ceramic structure to an opposite side of the ceramic structure.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR GENERATING WATER FROM AIR
A water generation system for generating liquid water from a process gas containing water vapor is disclosed. In various embodiments, the water generation systems comprise a solar thermal unit, a condenser and a controller configured to operate the water generation system between a loading operational mode and a release operational mode for the production of liquid water. A method of generating water from a process gas is disclosed herein. In various embodiments, the method comprises flowing a process gas into a solar thermal unit, transitioning from the loading operational mode to a release operational mode; flowing a regeneration fluid into the solar thermal unit and the condenser during the release operational mode; and, condensing water vapor from the regeneration fluid to produce liquid water.
