20230191366 · 2023-06-22 ·

[Problem] To provide a new way for fixing carbon dioxide under mild conditions and with high efficiency.

[Solution] The material for carbon dioxide fixation according to the present invention contains a metal ion donor and an amine as a precursor of a bridging ligand. The amine is configured to react with a gaseous carbon dioxide to form the bridging ligand having at least one carbamate anion moiety. The bridging ligand is configured to react with the metal ion donor to form a coordination polymer in which a plurality of the metal ions is linked by the bridging ligand.

A sorbent structure that includes a continuous body in the form of a flow-through substrate comprised of at least one cell defined by at least one porous wall. The continuous body comprises a sorbent material carbon substantially dispersed within the body. Further, the temperature of the sorbent structure can be controlled by conduction of an electrical current through the body.

Water stable copper paddlewheel metal organic framework (MOF) compositions and processes using the MOFs

This invention relates to a Cu-BTC MOF which is water stable. The Cu-BTC MOF has been modified by substituting some of the BTC ligand (1,3,5, benzene tricarboxylic acid) with 5-aminoisophthalic acid (AIA). The resultant MOF retains at least 40% of its as synthesized surface area after exposure to liquid water at 60° C. for 6 hours. This is an unexpected result versus the MOF containing only the BTC ligand. This MOF can be used to abate contaminants such as ammonia in gas streams and especially air streams.

METHOD FOR GAS SEPARATION

A method for separating at least one hydrocarbon from a feed containing a mixture of at least one hydrocarbon and nitrogen, comprising contacting the feed with an adsorbent comprising a porous support wherein the porous support comprises exchangeable cations and at least a portion of the exchangeable cations are organic cations.

METHOD FOR THE CONVERSION OF NITROUS ACID TO DINITROGEN GAS

The present application is directed to a method for the conversion of nitrous acid to dinitrogen gas. In particular, the present application relates to a method for the conversion of nitrous acid to dinitrogen gas by contacting the nitrous acid with an amine-functionalized metal organic framework.

Low noise, ceiling mounted indoor air scrubber

In some embodiments, an indoor air cleaning apparatus and a method for removing at least a portion of at least one type of gas from an indoor airflow are disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a cabinet; at least one sorbent bank comprising at least one cartridge; a fan assembly comprising at least one housing including at least one housing inlet and at least one housing outlet, at least one motor and at least one impeller; and a heating element configured to operate in at least one of two modes: an active mode and an inactive mode; and a controller configured to operate in at least two modes: an adsorption mode and a regeneration mode.

COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORKS FOR THE UPTAKE OF COMPOUNDS AND RELATED METHODS

Compositions and methods for adsorption of a species (e.g., ammonia, water, a halogen) comprising metal organic frameworks (MOFs) are generally provided. In some embodiments, a MOF comprises a plurality of metal ions, each coordinated with at least one ligand comprising at least two unsaturated N-heterocyclic aromatic groups arranged about an organic core.
