A plurality of individual sorbent cells are in a generally continuous cycle between the adsorption reactor and the regeneration reactor. A group of the individual sorbent cells may form an adsorption moving bed in the adsorption reactor to capture the adsorbate from the gas flow.

The moisture pump includes a housing defining a chamber with a heater, a heat spreader, and a desiccant for selectively adsorbing water vapor in the heating chamber when the heater is off and desorbing water vapor into the heating chamber when the heater is on. A valve assembly is also maintained by the housing transitionable between an adsorption position and desorption position. The adsorption position allows water vapor to be selectively transmitted into the heating chamber from the inside environment. The desorption position allows water vapor to be transmitted from the heating chamber for transmission into the outside environment. The adsorption and desorption ports can have asymmetric adsorption and desorption areas.

An adsorption process for separating at least a first component from a multi-component fluid stream using the adsorbent structure is also provided.

The ventilator further includes a pressure sensor in direct fluid communication with the breath detection airline. The ventilator includes a controller in electronic communication with the pressure sensor and an internal oxygen concentrator in fluid communication with the tubing. The internal oxygen concentrator is entirely disposed inside the enclosure.

A method of making a composite material for dehydration of gases includes the steps of grinding date palm wood fibers to produce a fiber powder, immersing the fiber powder in an alkali solution, filtering fiber powder from the alkali solution to obtain treated fiber powder, drying the treated fiber powder, mixing the dried treated fiber powder with melted polylactic acid to form a composite material, extruding the composite material, and molding and pressing the extruded composite material. The resultant composite material may then be used to dehydrate gas by contacting the gas with the composite material such that water from the gas is adsorbed onto the surface of the composite material.

AIR TREATMENT DEVICE

There is provided an air-treatment device including an airflow generator for generating an airflow, an adsorbent material for adsorbing one or more airborne contaminants, the adsorbent material being arranged such that at least a portion of the airflow passes through the adsorbent material, a heater arranged to heat a portion of the adsorbent material to desorb adsorbed contaminants, and a photocatalytic reactor arranged to receive air containing the contaminants desorbed from the heated portion of adsorbent material. The photocatalytic reactor includes a photo-catalyst for photocatalytic degradation of one or more of the contaminants, and one or more light sources for illuminating the photo-catalyst to facilitate photocatalytic degradation. The air-treatment device is arranged such that at least a portion of the airflow that has not passed through the heated portion of the adsorbent material contacts the one or more light sources.
