Base metal catalyst for treatment of ozone and volatile organic compounds present in air supply
Disclosed herein are base metal catalyst devices for removing ozone, volatile organic compounds, and other pollutants from an air flow stream. A catalyst device includes a housing, a solid substrate disposed within the housing, and a catalyst layer disposed on the substrate. The catalyst layer includes a first base metal catalyst at a first mass percent, a second base metal catalyst at a second mass percent, and a support material impregnated with at least one of the first base metal catalyst or the second base metal catalyst.
Oxidation catalyst for internal combustion engine exhaust gas treatment
The invention provides an exhaust gas cleaning oxidation catalyst and in particular to an oxidation catalyst for cleaning the exhaust gas discharged from internal combustion engines of compression ignition type (particularly diesel engines). The invention further relates to a catalysed substrate monolith comprising an oxidising catalyst on a substrate monolith for use in treating exhaust gas emitted from a lean-burn internal combustion engine. In particular, the invention relates to a catalysed substrate monolith comprising a first washcoat coating and a second washcoat coating, wherein the second washcoat coating is disposed in a layer above the first washcoat coating.
Contaminant removal for catalytic fuel tank inerting system
A fuel tank inerting system is disclosed. The system includes a fuel tank and a catalytic reactor with an inlet, an outlet, a reactive flow path between the inlet and the outlet, and a catalyst on the reactive flow path. The catalytic reactor is arranged to receive fuel from a fuel flow path in operative communication with the fuel tank and oxygen from an oxygen source, and to catalytically react a mixture of the fuel and oxygen along the reactive flow path to generate an inert gas. An inert gas flow path provides inert gas from the catalytic reactor to the fuel tank. An adsorbent is disposed along the fuel flow path or along the reactive flow path.
EXHAUST GAS PURIFICATION CATALYST
The present disclosure provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst with increased catalytic activity. The exhaust gas purification catalyst comprises a metal oxide support and Rh particles supported on the metal oxide support, wherein the metal oxide support is doped with a cation having a higher oxidation number than the cation of the metal oxide support. The metal oxide support may be a SrTiO.sub.3 support doped with greater than 0 mol % and 8 mol % or lower Nb, a ZrO.sub.2 support doped with 5 mol % to 20 mol % Nb, or an Al.sub.2O.sub.3 support doped with greater than 0 mol % and 7 mol % or lower Ti.
THIN-FILM-LIKE COMPOSITE OF NANOCRYSTAL
An object of the present disclosure is to provide a thin-film-like composite of nanocrystal, as a nanocrystalline material having excellent handling properties, which can overcome the above-mentioned problems of a nanocrystalline material having a powdery form while satisfactorily maintaining the properties of the nanocrystalline material (e.g., excellent catalytic activity). A thin-film-like composite of nanocrystal, characterized in that the thin-film-like composite of nanocrystal includes a thin-film-like connected assembly in which a plurality of nanocrystalline pieces each having a flake-like form and having a main surface and an end surface are connected to each other, the main surfaces of the plurality of nanocrystalline pieces exposed to the outside of the connected assembly are arranged so as to form gaps therebetween, and the connected assembly has a plan view area of 1 mm.sup.2 or more.
Oxidation catalyst for treating a natural gas emission
A catalytic material for treating an exhaust gas produced by a natural gas engine, which catalytic material comprises a molecular sieve and a platinum group metal (PGM) supported on the molecular sieve, wherein the molecular sieve has a framework comprising silicon, oxygen and optionally germanium, and has a content of heteroatom T-atoms is about 0.20 mol %.
