THREE-PRODUCT PRESSURE SWING ADSORPTION SYSTEM
A three-product PSA system which produces three product streams from a feed gas mixture comprising a light key component, at least one heavy key component, and at least one intermediate key component is described. The three-product PSA system produces a high pressure product stream enriched in the light key component, a low pressure tail gas stream enriched in the at least one heavy key component, and an intermediate pressure vent gas stream enriched in the at least one intermediate key component.
Method for separating organofluorine compounds using membrane
A method of separating a composition containing at least one organofluorine compound from at least one inorganic compound by contacts the composition with a semipermeable membrane. Other methods separate a organofluorine compound from a composition containing at least one other organofluorine compound or chlorocarbon. Methods also include isolating a single organofluorine compound from a composition comprising a mixture of organofluorine compounds, chlorocarbons, and/or inorganic compounds.
SEPARATING METHOD FOR ALTERNATIVE GAS MIXTURES FOR USE AS INSULATING MEDIA
A method is disclosed for recovering a useful gas from a gas mixture including a useful gas and at least one secondary gas. The gas mixture is first compressed and transferred into a pressure vessel where cooling occurs. Then, from the pressure vessel, a secondary-gas containing gas phase is removed and condensed useful gas is transferred into a purification vessel. In the purification vessel, the condensed useful gas is then purified. A plant is disclosed for recovering a useful gas from a gas mixture. Finally, the use of a plant for carrying out a method for recovering a useful gas from a gas mixture is disclosed.
ADSORBER WITH ROTARY DRYER
A (V)PSA unit for purifying a gas stream by adsorption is provided. The (V)PSA unit comprises, arranged successively in the direction of flow of the feed gas stream, a rotary-structured adsorbent wheel configured so as to drive the gas stream therethrough in an axial manner and allowing the feed gas to dry to a level corresponding to a dew point below −30 C, and an adsorber with a centripetal radial configuration, comprising a bed of particulate adsorbent.
Dual oxygen concentrator systems and methods
Described herein are various embodiments of an oxygen concentrator system that includes a home oxygen concentrator system couplable to a portable oxygen concentrator system.
Structured adsorbent beds, methods of producing the same and uses thereof
Structured adsorbent beds comprising a high cell density substrate, such as greater than about 1040 cpsi, and a coating comprising adsorbent particles, such as DDR and a binder, such as SiO.sub.2 are provided herein. Methods of preparing the structured adsorbent bed and gas separation processes using the structured adsorbent bed are also provided herein.
Oxygen concentrator
An oxygen concentrator is provided with a controller for recovering an oxygen concentration to a level suitable for treatment in a short period of time by selecting an optimum purge time corresponding to the deterioration state of an adsorbent. The judgment of moisture-absorption deterioration is performed when the detected value of the oxygen concentration sensor is equal to or less than a control value of the oxygen concentration in the oxygen-enriched gas and the detected value of the pressure sensor is equal to or more than an adsorption pressure at which the oxygen concentration increases significantly before and after the control to reduce the purge time, and control of reducing a time for the purge step shorter than a preset time is performed.
METHOD AND ARRANGEMENT FOR THE PRODUCTION AND THERMAL COMPRESSION OF OXYGEN
The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for the continuous production of compressed oxygen from air using mixed conducting ceramic membranes. The aim of the invention is to provide a way of isolating pure oxygen from the air and compressing said oxygen to pressures above the ambient pressure, without using mechanical or electromechanical compression of air or oxygen. To achieve this aim, according to the invention water in various aggregate states is conducted in a circuit and the configuration of the equipment is designed such that the desired high oxygen pressure is produced in a separate area from the membrane module and the oxygen produced is prevented from mixing with the freshly produced water vapour.
OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION CATALYST SYSTEM COMPRISING MESOPOROUS ORGANOSILICA SUPPORT
A catalyst system comprising a combination of: 1) one or more catalyst compounds comprising at least one nitrogen linkage; 2) a support comprising an organosilica material, which is a mesoporous organosilica material; and 3) an optional activator. Useful catalysts include pyridyldiamido transition metal complexes, HN5 compounds, and bis(imino)pyridyl complexes. The organosilica material is a polymer of at least one monomer of Formula [Z.sup.1OZ.sup.2SiCH.sub.2].sub.3(1), where Z.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom, a C.sub.1-C.sub.4alkyl group, or a bond to a silicon atom of another monomer and Z.sup.2 represents a hydroxyl group, a C1-C.sub.4alkoxy group, a C.sub.1-C.sub.6 alkyl group, or an oxygen atom bonded to a silicon atom of another monomer. This invention further relates to processes to polymerize olefins comprising contacting one or more olefins with the above catalyst system.
