Methods and Equipment for Treatment of Odorous Gas Streams
A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.
High efficiency ultra-violet reactor
A high efficiency ultra-violet air purification system is disclosed. The system includes an apparatus for purifying air. The apparatus includes a chamber having a hollow interior and having an inlet and an outlet, the chamber having an inner reflective surface. The apparatus further includes an ultraviolet (UV) light source mounted within the hollow interior of the chamber between the inlet and the outlet. The apparatus further includes a honeycomb structure mounted to each of the inlet and the outlet of the UV chamber, the honeycomb structure having an array of hexagonal passages that are orthogonal to the inner reflective surface of the chamber, each hexagonal passage being at least partly coated with a UV catalyst and a UV light absorption coating.
Air filter assembly
A compact lightweight air filtration system is disclosed. The air filtration system includes a hydrophobic particulate/coalescing filter and a cleanable ozone converter housed in a housing with an inlet and an outlet. Air flowing from the inlet to the outlet passes through the particulate/coalescing filter element and then the cleanable ozone converter to remove particulates, aerosols, liquids, and ozone.
Radial air purification system for removal of contaminants from a gas and methods of fabrication
A radial air purification system, a method of forming the purification system, and methods of removing at least one contaminant from a gas using the purification system are provided. The radial air purification system includes adsorbent media tubular supports that are fabricated using a fiberglass grating structure to provide increased strength, corrosion resistance, reduction in weight, and lower fabrication costs.
Simple application of surface coating based on a formulation containing additive to remove air pollutants.
Simple application of surface coating based on a formulation containing additive to remove air pollutants is disclosed. This improved surface wash, surface coating, windscreen wash, windscreen coating, is applied as a surface coating, wash or treatment to automotive vehicles, during regular periodic intervals, wherein vehicle is washed, and surface coating applied and also applied as window wash as needed. And as such method is very well distributed geographically. This invention avoids complexities involved in operation of existing methods, where heavy, expensive equipment and complex operation is prevalent. The invention is simple enough such that human error is effectively avoided.
Nanoporous Matrix and Use Thereof
The invention relates to a nanoporous polyalkoxysilane sol-gel matrix and to a process for producing such a nanoporous polyalkoxysilane sol-gel matrix containing indigo carmine, wherein said process comprises the following steps: a) synthesizing a gel from tetramethoxysilane or from a mixture of tetramethoxysilane and another organosilicon precursor chosen from phenyltrimethoxysilane, phenyltriethoxysilane, a fluoroalkyltrimethoxysilane, a fluoroalkyltriethoxysilane, a chloroalkylmethoxysilane, a chloroalkylethoxysilane, an aminopropyltriethoxysilane and mixtures thereof, the synthesis being carried out in an aqueous medium in the presence of a polar organic solvent and of the indigo carmine at a temperature ranging from 20 to 70 C., b) drying the gel obtained in step a) so as to obtain a nanoporous polyalkoxysilane sol-gel matrix containing indigo carmine.
LOW NOISE, CEILING MOUNTED INDOOR AIR SCRUBBER
In some embodiments, an indoor air cleaning apparatus and a method for removing at least a portion of at least one type of gas from an indoor airflow are disclosed. The apparatus may comprise a cabinet; at least one sorbent bank comprising at least one cartridge; a fan assembly comprising at least one housing including at least one housing inlet and at least one housing outlet, at least one motor and at least one impeller; and a heating element configured to operate in at least one of two modes: an active mode and an inactive mode; and a controller configured to operate in at least two modes: an adsorption mode and a regeneration mode.
GAS PROCESSING APPARATUS
A gas processing apparatus of an embodiment includes a gas processing unit, a flow forming unit, an AC power supply, and first and second filters. The gas processing unit includes a plurality of stacks each having a dielectric substrate, a first to a third electrode. The flow forming unit forms a flow of a target gas flowing toward the gas processing unit. The AC power supply applies an AC voltage across the first, second electrodes and the third electrode so as to generate plasma induced flows of the target gas between the dielectric substrates. The first filter is disposed at an upstream of the gas processing unit, and removes ozone. The second filter is disposed at a downstream of the gas processing unit, and removes ozone.
Air ionization systems and components
Ionization systems configured with a catalyst-bearing sleeve provide improved filtration while filtering ozone. Modular configurations provide for serviceability and replaceability. System controls may be used to monitor particulates, temperature, humidity, and other relevant factors and adjust an ionization level accordingly.
Air filter comprising a multilayer filter material
A multi-layer filter material for an interior air filter element of an air conditioning system of a vehicle may include an active layer having a plurality of non-impregnated activated carbon particles, an impregnation layer having a plurality of impregnated activated carbon particles, and an ion exchange layer having a plurality of ion exchanger particles. The active layer may be arranged between the ion exchange layer and the impregnation layer. The active layer may further include a first ash content and the impregnation layer may further include a second ash content. The first ash content in the active layer may be less than the second ash content in the impregnation layer.
