PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF SODIUM CYANIDE
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alkali metal cyanides as a solid substance, comprising the steps of: i) an absorption step in the form of an absorption of hydrogen cyanide from a hydrogen cyanide-containing synthesis gas in an aqueous alkali metal hydroxide solution; ii) a crystallization step in the form of introducing said alkali metal cyanide solution into an evaporative crystallizer; iii) a separation step; iv) a recycle step; v) a drying step.
Component Removal from a Gas
A device, system, and method for removing a component from a gas are disclosed. A bead consisting of a core and an outer layer is provided. The outer layer consists of a first impermeable material. The core consists of a second material. A carrier gas, containing a vapor, is passed across the bead, desublimating or desublimating and condensing a portion of the vapor onto the bead. In some embodiments, the beads are passed into the column at a first temperature and the carrier gas is passed across the beads. A portion of the vapor desublimates or desublimates and condenses onto the beads as a solid product, causing the beads to expand in volume as they are warmed to a second temperature. The beads with the solid product are passed out of the column.
Gel including condensation product of organic silicon compound
The present invention provides a gel containing a crosslinked polymer having at least one selected from the group consisting of an acidic dissociative group, an acidic dissociative group in a salt form, and a derivative group of an acidic dissociative group, and a condensate of a compound represented by the following formula (I): Si{R.sup.1N(R.sup.2)(R.sup.3)}(OR.sup.4)(OR.sup.5)(R.sup.6) (wherein each group is as defined in the DESCRIPTION).
METHOD OF PREPARING CATALYST FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE SYNERGISTIC CATALYTIC PURIFICATION OF NOx AND HCN IN FLUE GAS, AND USE THEREOF
The present invention discloses a method of preparing a catalyst for low-temperature synergistic catalytic purification of NO.sub.x and HCN in a flue gas, and the use thereof. Citric acid is dissolved in ethanol to obtain a citric acid/ethanol solution; tetrabutyl titanate is added, mixed uniformly to obtain a tetrabutyl titanate-citric acid/ethanol solution; glacial acetic acid is added dropwise to react for 30-40 min to obtain a solution A; the metal salt solution was added dropwise into the solution A, mixed uniformly and added with nitric acid, ammonium hydroxide is added dropwise to adjust the pH value and the temperature is raised at a constant speed to obtain a gel B; dried and then then baked at a temperature of 300-500 C. for 3-4 h, cooled in the furnace, pulverized, tableted and sieved to obtain the catalyst for the low-temperature synergistic catalytic purification of NO.sub.x and HCN in the flue gas.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR REGENERATION OF A LADEN SCRUBBING MEDIUM FROM A GAS SCRUBBING
The invention relates to a process for regenerating a laden scrubbing medium from a gas scrubbing for purifying raw synthesis gas in which the laden scrubbing medium is at least partially freed of bound gas constituents in a regeneration stage to obtain a regenerated scrubbing medium. According to the invention it is provided that after withdrawal from the regeneration stage the regenerated scrubbing medium is supplied to an intermediate vessel and the regenerated scrubbing medium is withdrawn from the intermediate vessel and supplied to an absorption apparatus for purifying raw synthesis gas. The invention further relates to an apparatus for performing the process according to the invention comprising a regeneration apparatus in which bound gas constituents are removable from a laden scrubbing medium, wherein according to the invention it is provided that the apparatus comprises an intermediate vessel into which a regenerated scrubbing medium producible in the regeneration apparatus is transferable and in which the regenerated scrubbing medium is storable.

PROCESS FOR PURIFYING CRUDE SYNTHESIS GAS TO PRODUCE AN ACID GAS AND ACID GAS SEPARATOR
The invention relates to a gas scrubbing process for purifying crude synthesis gas with methanol as a physical absorption medium, wherein an acid gas comprising at least hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2S) is produced. The acid gas is produced in a hot regenerator arranged downstream of an absorption apparatus and subsequently separated from gaseous methanol in an acid gas separator by cooling and condensation. The acid gas separator has a condensation region and an absorption region, wherein both regions are separated from one another by a gas-permeable tray. This has the result that impurities such as hydrogen cyanide and/or ammonia outgassing from a first acid gas substream are not reabsorbed in the condensation region of the acid gas separator, thus avoiding an accumulation of impurities in the hot regenerator or other parts of the gas scrubbing plant. The invention further relates to an acid gas separator and to the use of the acid gas separator according to the invention in a process according to the invention.
