Pollution control system
A pollution control system for removing particle and gas phase pollutants in a waste airstream exhausted from commercial cooking operations may include a plurality of filters arranged within a housing for filtering particle and gas phase pollutants in the waste airstream. Various ones of the filters may be composed of a variety of different materials, and ozone may be provided within the housing to assist with removal of the pollutants. In some examples, a wash mechanism may be included to wash surfaces of a filter to remove grease therefrom. In some examples, the system may further include means to spray droplets (such as in a fog or mist form) into the waste airstream to condense a portion of gas phase pollutants into condensed particles.
Exhaust gas purifying system
A restaurant exhaust gas purifying system for filtering an exhaust gas of a cooking process including an exhaust vent and an exhaust gas purifier coupled to the exhaust vent. The exhaust gas purifier includes a housing which has an inlet connected to the exhaust vent and an outlet, a hot box connected to and housed within the housing, a heating device connected to the housing and configured for heating the hot box, and a rotating filter rotatably mounted to and housed within the housing. The rotating filter has a rotational cycle in which at least a portion of the rotating filter passes through the hot box. The exhaust gas purifier also includes a drive connected to the housing and operably coupled to the rotating filter for rotating the rotating filter, and a stationary filter positioned in the hot box.
Biodegradable Waste Remediation Method and System
Contaminant treatment methods and systems are described. Methods utilize biodegradable, non-toxic materials that can carry one or more functionalities useful for the remediation of fluids such as liquid or gaseous waste streams, chemical spills, etc. The carrier materials carry one or more functional groups that can target particular contaminants of a fluid for removal and/or modification to a more benign form. Targeted contaminants can include components of gaseous and/or liquids such as, and without limitation, gaseous discharges including VOCs and potentially hazardous contaminants such as organophosphorous compounds.
Replaceable grease containment device, kit and assembly for rooftop or wall-mounted exhaust fan
A grease containment device for an exhaust fan is provided. The device includes an outer housing and an inner housing. The outer housing defines an interior receptacle, a first end surface, and a second end surface opposing the first end surface. The first end surface includes an inlet to the interior receptacle for grease from the exhaust fan, and the second end surface includes a sloped drainage surface leading to at least one drainage opening. The inner housing is located within the interior receptacle and includes a quantity of grease absorbent media in communication with the inlet. The grease absorbent media is hydrophobic, and the inner housing includes a porous portion proximate the sloped drainage surface.
Smoke generation pod
A smoke generation pod for use in a smoke generation system includes an enclosure that has there within a material such as wood that is heated or ignited by an igniter or arc housed within the smoke generation pod. The smoke generation pod has an input vent for accepting air and an output vent for distributing smoke. The smoke is routed to an object such as a glass (with or without a liquid there within) for infusing the smoke into the liquid or onto the object. In some embodiments, the output vent has a filter and, some such filters also remove some or all carcinogens from the smoke that is emitted.
Modular services supply arrangement
A services supply device for a commercial kitchen includes multiple wall modules that are interconnectable to form a continuous wall. The continuous wall is defined by a pair of common substantially planar surfaces, one at the front side of the wall and one at the back side of the wall, spaced apart by some distance. The interior of the wall between the front and back sides forms a cavity. A portion of the cavity may be configured as an exhaust duct that conveys exhaust fumes away from a cooking appliance serviced by the services supply device, while another portion may be configured as a filter. The exhaust duct may have an inlet positioned on one of the sides of the continuous wall. The individual wall modules may be formed from functional units stacked on top of each other.
Microwave oven deodorant device
A microwave oven deodorant device includes a microwave safe bag having an interior space, and a plurality of apertures. An absorbent member is positioned within the interior space and is coated with a liquid based scented fragrance. A cover is removably positioned onto the bag so as to cover each of the apertures to create an airtight environment within the bag. Upon removal of the cover, and receiving heat from an oven, the scented material produces steam that escapes through the apertures.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATING EMISSIONS USING A TRANSIENT PULSED PLASMA
A method and system to treat emissions (e.g., smoke, particulate, odor, grease) employs a nanosecond high voltage pulse generator, a transient pulsed plasma reactor, and a DC voltage source that supplies a DC bias voltage, preferably a negative DC bias voltage to a conductor of the transient pulsed plasma reactor. The system is used in a scheme that substantially reduces at least particulate matter in emissions streams, for example emissions streams produced during cooking, for instance in commercial charbroiling processes (e.g., cooking of hamburger meat), or from operation of internal combustion engines. Both a reduction in the size distribution and total particulate mass is achieved using the method and system described herein.

Methods and equipment for treatment of odorous gas steams
A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method includes optionally passing the stream through an ambient temperature condenser followed by passing the stream through a spray venturi scrubber, a chilled condenser, a gas/solid separator, and a series of wet scrubbers to remove at least a portion of the compounds.
