ELECTROCHEMICALLY REGENERATED LIQUID DESICCANT DEHUMIDIFICATION SYSTEM USING A SECONDARY HEAT PUMP
A liquid desiccant regenerator configured to produce a first output stream with a higher concentration of a liquid desiccant than a first input stream. The regenerator also produces a second output stream with a lower concentration of the liquid desiccant than a second input stream. Regeneration of the liquid desiccant in the liquid desiccant regenerator decreases a temperature of the liquid desiccant regenerator. The system includes an air contactor coupled to the first output stream and exposing an input air stream to the first output stream. The first output stream absorbs water from the input air stream to form at least one diluted output desiccant stream. A heat pump of the system is thermally coupled to move the heat from the first output stream to the liquid desiccant regenerator. The heat moved to the liquid desiccant regenerator increases an efficiency of the liquid desiccant regenerator.

The present invention relates to an air cleaner and, more particularly, to an air cleaner provided with a housing divided into an outer housing and an inner housing, wherein the outer housing and the inner housing are separated from one another, a photocatalytic filter and a collection filter are installed in the inner housing, and air flows even through the space between the inner housing and the outer housing. The present invention provides an air cleaner comprising: an outer housing defining an inlet and an outlet; an inner housing disposed in the outer housing and formed to be separated from the outer housing; a fan installed in the inner housing to forcibly discharge air in the outlet direction; a photocatalytic filter installed in the inner housing and disposed in the direction in which air from the fan is discharged or in the direction opposite to that in which the air is discharged; and an ultraviolet light source disposed upstream of the photocatalytic filter in the direction of airflow created by the fan in order to irradiate the photocatalytic filter with ultraviolet rays.

Amorphous aluminosilicates are disclosed, and these amorphous aluminosilicates are characterized by a unique combination of high surface area, low oil absorption, and a significant fraction of the total pore volume resulting from micropores. These amorphous aluminosilicates can be used in various paint and coating applications, with the resultant dried or solid film capable of removing VOC's from the surrounding air.

An object is to provide a dehumidifying member having a high tensile strength. The object can be achieved by a dehumidifying member including a honeycomb structure. The honeycomb structure includes a planar base material and a corrugated base material, a contact part where a wave top portion of the corrugated base material and the planar base material are in contact with each other, and an air hole. The contact part includes an adhesion part adhered by an adhesive agent and silica gel formed on the air hole side from the contact part. The component forming the adhesive agent differs from the component of the silica gel formed on the air hole side from the adhesion part.
BASE METAL CATALYST FOR TREATMENT OF OZONE AND VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS PRESENT IN AIR SUPPLY
Disclosed herein are base metal catalyst devices for removing ozone, volatile organic compounds, and other pollutants from an air flow stream. A catalyst device includes a housing, a solid substrate disposed within the housing, and a catalyst layer disposed on the substrate. The catalyst layer includes a first base metal catalyst at a first mass percent, a second base metal catalyst at a second mass percent, and a support material impregnated with at least one of the first base metal catalyst or the second base metal catalyst. The preferred catalyst composition is a combination of manganese oxide and copper oxide.
AIR CONDITIONING ROTATING BODY AND AIR TREATMENT DEVICE
An air conditioning rotating body including a rotor having a cylindrical shape. The rotor is housed in a casing so as to be freely rotatable. The casing includes a seal member. The air conditioning rotating body treats air passing through the rotor in an axial direction. The seal member extends in a radial direction of the rotor and separates air passages. An end face of the rotor in the axial direction is provided with at least one spoke in contact with the seal member. A contact point of the seal member with the spoke is configured to move in the radial direction as the rotor rotates.
