AIR CLEANER FOR OIL AND OTHER CONTAMINANTS
An air cleaner includes a case, an air inlet, an air outlet, a grill covering the air inlet to filter airborne oil droplets, a fan to suction air through the air inlet and discharge air out of the air outlet, a roll filter provided between the grill and the fan to filter oil mist, and a filter roller to cut the roll filter. The roll filter includes a roller and a filter sheet wound around the roller, and the filter sheet may be unwound to extend behind the grill. When the filter sheet becomes dirty, the roll filter is further unwound so that a clean section is provided behind the grill, and the filter cutter may cut off the dirty section. During cutting, a clamp holds down the filter sheet. The case includes a slit through which the dirty section of the filter sheet passes for discarding.

Sorbent system for removing ammonia and organic compounds from a gaseous environment
A first process and sorbent for removing ammonia from a gaseous environment, the sorbent comprised of graphene oxide having supported thereon at least one compound selected from metal salts, metal oxides and acids, each of which is capable of adsorbing ammonia. A second process and sorbent system for removing ammonia and a volatile organic compound from a gaseous environment; the sorbent system comprised of two graphene-based materials: (a) the aforementioned graphene oxide, and (b) a nitrogen and oxygen-functionalized graphene. The sorbents are regenerable under a pressure gradient with little or no application of heat. The processes are operable through multiple adsorption-desorption cycles and are applicable to purifying and revitalizing air contaminated with ammonia and organic compounds as may be found in spacesuits, aerospace cabins, underwater vehicles, and other confined-entry environments.
Air filters comprising polymeric sorbents for reactive gases
An air filter including a filter support that supports polymeric sorbent particles. The polymeric sorbent is the reaction product of a divinylbenzene/maleic anhydride precursor polymeric material with a nitrogen-containing compound. The air filter may be used for capturing e.g. reactive gases.
GAS CONCENTRATOR WITH REMOVABLE CARTRIDGE ADSORBENT BEDS
A portable oxygen concentrator designed for medical use where the sieve beds, adsorbers, are designed to be replaced by a patient. The concentrator is designed so that the beds are at least partially exposed to the outside of the system and can be easily released by a simple user-friendly mechanism. Replacement beds may be installed easily by patients, and all gas seals will function properly after installation.
Configurable oxygen concentrator and related method
A configurable oxygen concentrator for providing various flow rates and volumes of concentrated oxygen to a patient includes an electro-mechanical assembly having a housing with a first face, a second face and an outer surface. The oxygen concentrator also includes a first battery, a second battery, a first adsorbent container and a second adsorbent container. The first and second batteries are removably mountable to the first face and the first and second adsorbent containers are removably mountable to the second face to permit modification of the concentrated oxygen capacity and operating life of the concentrator as the patient progresses through different stages of a breathing disease. The first battery has a first battery capacity that is less than a second battery capacity of the second battery. The first adsorbent container has a first adsorbent capacity that is less than a second adsorbent capacity of the second adsorbent container.
Pulsed pressure swing adsorption system and method
A pressure swing adsorption (PSA) system and methods for controlling each PSA cycle performed by the PSA system to produce oxygen enriched gas during productive portions of a user breathing cycle, and to cease production of oxygen enriched gas during non-productive portions of the user breathing cycle, is provided. The PSA system synchronizes PSA cycle phases including adsorption and desorption phases with a user's individual inhalation and exhalation phases, on a breath by breath basis, such that each PSA cycle can be dynamically varied from a succeeding PSA cycle, in real time in response to variations in the user's breathing cycle. An oxygen delivery device including a breathing cycle sensor provides breathing cycle inputs to a controller for use with at least one algorithm to detect breathing flow phases during each user breath, and to synchronize each PSA cycle to the user's breathing flow phases, on a breath-by-breath basis.
Air filters comprising polymeric sorbents for aldehydes
An air filter including a filter support that supports polymeric sorbent particles. The polymeric sorbent is the reaction product of a divinylbenzene/maleic anhydride precursor polymeric material with a nitrogen-containing compound.
PORTABLE CARBON DIOXIDE ABSORPTION SYSTEM
