The substance is directed to the inlet of the volute or cyclone head and irradiated with one or more wave energies produced by the first and second wave energy sources as the substance passes through the device.

An air purifying coating system and method for making same having a carrier agent and a diatomic frustule particle dispersion combined with the carrier agent. The diatomic frustule particle dispersion may include diatomic frustule zinc oxide particles, diatomic frustule titanium dioxide particles, or combinations thereof. The coating system may include 70-99.9 weight percent carrier agent and 0.1-30 weight percent diatomic frustule particle dispersion. The carrier agent of the coating system may include a cleaning agent or a polishing agent. The diatomic frustule particle dispersion may include 1-35 micron particle size diatomic frustule particles combined with water and dispersion additive. The dispersion may further include an anti-settling additive, a rheology additive, and/or or a defoamer.

A device and method for passive collection of atmospheric CO2 is disclosed. The device includes a chamber having an inner wall, an outer wall. an annular void between the inner and outer walls. and a sump connecting the annular void and an inner cylinder. The device also includes a capture structure having a sorbent material and movable between open and closed configurations. The device includes a water delivery device with a pump and a water applicator positioned within the annular void to dispense water onto the outer wall. The pump transfers water from the sump to the applicator. The open configuration includes the sorbent exposed and allowed to capture CO2. The closed configuration includes the capture structure being enclosed inside the chamber such that a heated water vapor releases captured CO2. The vapor is created by the solar heating of the outer wall and the water dispensed within.

The water generation unit comprises a housing defining therewithin an extraction chamber, and comprising one or more sidewalls defining a housing opening, the housing further comprises a liquid-passable housing bottom comprising a perforated plate configured to support thereon a thermoresponsive sorbent medium; an air-supply arrangement configured to introduce ambient air into the extraction chamber via the housing opening, the air-supply arrangement comprising a circulation device configured to create an airflow into the extraction chamber from the ambient air; a heating arrangement configured to facilitate heating of the extraction chamber by solar radiation impinging thereon; and an accumulation arrangement comprising an accumulation element disposed below the housing bottom, the accumulation element being configured to facilitate accumulation of water which passes from the extraction chamber through the perforated plate.

In the portable air purifier, the support is formed in a replaceable type to be attachable to and detachable from the upper case and the lower case, which makes it possible to manufacture various types of portable air purifiers to correspond to different air purification types by replacing a minimum number of parts, thereby making manufacturing processes easy and reducing manufacturing costs.
