There is also provided an emission source for generating UV and/or VUV, the source comprising: a microwave generator; a chamber arranged to receive microwaves generated by the microwave generator, the chamber comprising: a gas comprising species for forming excimers; a resonator arranged to receive the microwaves in the chamber and generate a plasma; a first electrode spaced apart from the resonator; and a voltage source configured to generate an electric field between the resonator and the first electrode, wherein, on application of the electric field, the electric field drives electrons and/or ions from the plasma to generate excimers and produce vacuum ultraviolet or ultraviolet emission. There are also provided methods of generating UV and/or VUV, and methods of remediating fluids.
PHOTO-CATALYTIC OXIDATION DEVICE FOR ORGANIC WASTE GAS
An organic waste gas photocatalytic oxidation device is provided, which includes a shell with an air inlet and an air outlet, and a microwave generator for forming a microwave electromagnetic field in the shell; the air inlet and the air outlet of the shell are both provided with a catalyst mesh plate, and the shell is provided with an ultraviolet lamp tube and a photocatalyst plate. By combining three technologies of microwave, ultraviolet and photocatalyst.
COMPLEX MODALITY REACTOR FOR MATERIALS PRODUCTION AND SYNTHESIS
Disclosed apparatuses, systems, and materials relate to the disassociation of feedstock species (such as those in gaseous form) into constituent components, and may include an energy generator configured to provide a microwave energy. A first chamber defines a first volume and is configured to guide the microwave energy along the first chamber as a sinusoidal wave having an energy maxima at a point along the first chamber. A second chamber contains a plasma plume and is positioned substantially proximal to the first chamber, and is configured to enable propagation of the microwave energy through the first chamber and the second chamber such that the microwave energy demonstrates, at a radial center of the second chamber, a coaxial energy maxima configured to ignite the plasma plume contained in the second chamber. Carbon-containing materials may be formed by controlling flow parameters of the feedstock species into the first or second chamber.
