Device and arrangement having a filtering element for separating oil from the crankcase emissions of an internal combustion engine
Disclosed is an arrangement of a filtering element for a device for purifying gas from the crankcase of an internal combustion engine, which includes: a filtering element mounted so as to rotate about an axis and having an annular filtering medium; a rotor element capable of being part of a rotating system, making it possible to turn the filtering element by way of notches formed on the outer surface of a sleeve. The flanges of the filtering element are attached to one another in an inner space defined by the medium, typically by snap-fitting, using at least one retaining member and an anchor portion engaging with one another with an anti-rotation effect. The anchoring portion is provided with inner projections forming contact surfaces, preferably angular, which are inserted into the notches of the sleeve when the rotor element is inserted into the inner space.
Cabin Air Filter and Filter Assembly
A cabin air filter is provided with a filter medium and a filter element frame that frames the filter medium and is configured to attach the cabin air filter to a filter housing. The filter element frame is provided with at least one engagement element configured to engage pivotably at least one receiving element of the filter housing for pivoting the cabin air filter relative to the filter housing about a pivot axis. The filter element frame also has at least one snap hook that locks with at least one locking element of the filter housing for blocking pivoting of the cabin air filter relative to the filter housing at least in a first direction about the pivot axis.
Filter element and filter system having a filter element
A filter element for a filter system for filtering a fluid has a filter bellows arranged about a longitudinal axis and enclosing an interior of the filter element. An end disk that is provided with an opening to the interior of the filter element is arranged at the filter bellows. The end disk has a bead that is arranged at the opening to the interior and partially surrounds the opening to the interior. The bead projects outwardly in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The filter system has a housing with a cover and a housing part closable by the cover. The filter element can be exchangeably arranged in the housing. The bead, in a mounted state of the filter element in the housing, engages a complementary receptacle arranged at an inner side of the cover.
Filter element
A filter element includes a frame having an outlet panel and two side panels defining a U-shape. A U-shaped media anchor channel extends along the distal side edge of each panel. Each media anchor channel can have a snap-tab or other locking feature. The element encloses a pleated panel filter media pack having a side edge along each side of the pack. Each side edge of the media pack is located in a media anchor channel, and a bead of adhesive is applied along the channel. A pair of seal bars, each having a u-shape and a snap-tab or other feature that cooperates with the u-shape and the snap-tab of each media anchor channel, is pressed into each channel. Each seal bar mechanically retains a respective media side edge in the channel and together with the adhesive, provides a consistent, robust seal between the media and the frame.
Round Filter Element, in Particular for Gas Filtration
A round filter element has a filter medium body with a wall to be flowed through by a fluid to be purified in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. A circumferentially extending seal carrier is arranged at or adjacent to an end face of the filter medium body. A sealing element is supported at the seal carrier adjacent to a radial outer side of the filter medium body. A positioning element extends into the filter medium body and engages with form fit a correlated housing-associated counter positioning element of a filter housing when the round filter element is installed in the filter housing. The seal carrier separates flow-tightly a raw side of the round filter element from a clean side of the round filter element when the round filter element is installed in the filter housing.
Filter elements, air cleaner assemblies, and methods of use and assembly
Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.
Filter element
A filter element has a filter body having a longitudinal axis and a concentric shape relative to the longitudinal axis. The filter body has a first end face and a second opposite end face. A first end disk is arranged at the first end face. A second end disk is arranged at the second end face. A support tube concentric to the longitudinal axis extends between the first and second end disks. At least one of the first and second end disks has support knobs arranged in a circular arrangement about the longitudinal axis and extending in axial direction outwardly. The support knobs, when the filter element is mounted in a housing that receives the filter element, rest against an inner cover contour of the housing and fold over in radial direction outwardly so as to be supported axially and radially on the housing.
