Filter for immersion cooling apparatus
An immersion cooling system for electronic equipment including a tank adapted to hold a liquid heat transfer fluid into which the electronic equipment can be immersed and a filter assembly(ies) having a filter housing with an inlet and an outlet and containing a filter cartridge. In some embodiments the filter assembly(ies) is adapted to be located in the heat transfer fluid in the tank, such that a cross-sectional area of the filter housing inlet is greater than a cross-sectional area of the filter housing outlet, the filter housing inlet is substantially vertically oriented on a side of the filter housing, the filter cartridge is positioned within the filter housing at an inclined angle relative to the filter housing inlet, and the filter housing outlet is disposed adjacent to a top of the housing. Advantageously, heat generated by the immersed electronic equipment produces a convective flow of heat transfer fluid through the filter housing.
Air cleaner arrangements; components; and, methods
An air cleaner assembly and components therefor are described. The components include features of an air cleaner housing; advantageous main filter cartridges; and, advantageous safety filter cartridge features. Features of the main filter cartridge are provided to engage an access cover of the assembly, and a cartridge support within the housing, in a preferred manner. Methods of assembly and use are also described.
ASSEMBLIES; COMPONENTS AND FILTER FEATURES THEREOF; AND, METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY
An air cleaner assembly is disclosed, along with related methods. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly has a housing including a housing body and a removable cover that together define an interior volume for holding a filter cartridge. The housing body can include a first plurality of lugs, wherein each of the first plurality of lugs has a first engagement surface disposed at a first angle that is oblique to a rotational plane of the cover. A second plurality of lugs can be provided on the cover, wherein each of the second plurality of lugs has a second engagement surface disposed at the first angle. A lock mechanism can also be provided that is disposed on the cover, wherein the lock mechanism includes a lock member axially movable between a locked position and an unlocked position to selectively secure the cover to the housing body.
Air cleaner; replaceable filter cartridges; and, methods
The disclosure concerns air cleaners. Preferred air cleaners are shown which include a housing and a removable and replacement primary filter cartridge. Optional and advantageous features are shown. The preferred primary filter cartridge is conical in shape. A preferred optional safety or secondary filter cartridge is shown. Preferred methods of assembly and use are provided.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGINEERED CERAMIC PACKAGES FOR USE IN FLUID TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES
The present disclosure relates to a fluid modification system having a container structure and a plurality of independent, ceramic elements. The ceramic elements may be arranged in random orientations and contained in the container structure, thus causing a fluid flow entering the container structure at any given cross-section location to flow over the surfaces of a first subplurality of the ceramic elements, and through the porous walls of a second subplurality of the ceramic elements, before exiting at a second location of the container structure. Each one of the ceramic elements has at least one of a nanofibrous or nanoporous microstructure to enable internal flow both through a wall structure thereof, and over and around the wall structure to affect performance.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGINEERED CERAMIC PACKAGES FOR USE IN FLUID TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES
The present disclosure relates to a modular fluid modification system having an outer container configured to permit a fluid flow there into at a first location, and to allow the fluid flow to exit the container at a second location spaced apart from the first location. A plurality of fluid contacting elements is housed in the outer container. The fluid contacting elements each form an independent filtering or reactor element. Each fluid contacting element includes a plurality of openings formed in a grid or lattice-like pattern.
Air cleaner arrangement with end support for cartridge; components; and, methods
An air cleaner assembly is described and shown which includes a housing having an air flow inlet, an air flow outlet and a housing body and access cover. A serviceable filter cartridge is positioned within the housing. A projection/receiver arrangement providing for engagement between the cartridge and the housing is provided. The projection/receiver arrangement can be configured in a manner that inhibits undesired motion of the cartridge, once installed. An example projection/receiver arrangement is provided, which includes a serpentine receiving groove on the access cover and a serpentine projection on the filter cartridge. Example filter cartridge features are described.
Housing and filter system having a housing
A housing (110) having a housing body (112), connected to a mating housing cover (114) are arranged along a longitudinal axis (A). The housing (110) receives a filter element (10). A push-twist structure (120) is provided on the housing body and the housing cover connecting the housing body (112) and housing cover (114) by way of a push-twist mount. The push-twist structure (120) having mating push-twist elements (122, 124) arranged on the housing body (112) and the housing cover (114). An anti-rotation lock structure (160) is provided for securing the push-twist structure (120) in its closed position in an anti-rotation lock manner.
FLUID FILTER ELEMENT FOR CIRCULAR LOCKING ENGAGEMENT WITH A FILTER SUPPORT
A fluid filter element for circular locking engagement with a filter support, the fluid filter element including a filter medium arranged about a longitudinal axis, first and second end caps arranged at opposite cylindrical ends of the filter medium and sealed thereto, at least one locking protrusion located on the second end cap for rotatably locking the fluid filter to the filter support and at least one releasable retainer located on the second end cap and associated with at the at least one locking protrusion for retaining the at least one locking protrusion in locking engagement with the filter support and being operative, when released, to allow rotatable unlocking of the fluid filter element.
RADIAL SEAL AIR FILTER
Various example embodiments relate to a filtration system. The filtration system comprises a housing having a first housing end and a second housing end. The housing defines a central compartment therein. The housing comprises a first alignment portion disposed on the first housing end. The filtration system further comprises a filter element positioned within the central compartment of the housing. The filter element has a first filter end and a second filter end. The filter element comprises filter media and a second alignment portion disposed on the first filter end. The second alignment portion is complementary to the first alignment portion. The installation of the filter element within the housing causes the first alignment surface and the second alignment surface to align to provide for engagement of a radial seal between the filter element and the housing.
