Curved seal on filter element and protective seal mold
A filter seal member mold includes a first mold end and a second mold end disposed axially away from the first mold end. A first mold surface is disposed between the first mold end and the second mold end and includes at least one lobe mold and at least one guide channel mold. The at least one lobe mold is configured to form at least one lobe on an end of a filter element. The at least one guide channel mold is configured to form at least one guide channel on the end of the filter element. A second mold surface is disposed between the first and second mold end and disposed radially away from the first mold surface. A mold channel is formed between a first mold surface and a second mold surface. The mold channel includes a closed portion and an open portion adjacent the second mold end.
End cap for a filter element
A filter assembly includes a housing, a filter element, and an end cap. The housing includes an interior surface, an exterior surface, and a protrusion. The interior surface defines an interior volume. The exterior surface is opposite the interior surface. The protrusion extends from the exterior surface. The filter element is configured to be disposed at least partially in the interior volume of the housing. The end cap includes an axially-extending outer rim defining a slot configured to receive the protrusion to inhibit rotation of the end cap relative to the housing.
AIRBORNE PATHOGEN EXTRACTION SYSTEM
An airborne pathogen extraction system that provides for continuous airborne pathogen particle extraction from a specifically targeted area in a room or a specifically targeted area proximate to a user. The pathogenic particles are filtered and/or disinfected before the air is returned proximate to the originating location, or are directed an area away from the user(s). The airborne pathogen extraction systems and methods lower the chances of contagion or infection from airborne pathogens, such as viruses.
Curved lobed seal lock air filter system
Various embodiments provide for a filter assembly. The filter assembly includes a filter housing, a filter element, and a cover. The cover includes a first cover end and a second cover end disposed axially away from the first cover end. A second coupling member is adjacent to the second cover end. The second coupling member is configured to engage a first coupling member to couple the cover and the filter housing. A biasing member is coupled to the first cover end. An interface plate is configured to press against a first endplate of the filter element to secure the engagement of a first engagement portion of a filter seal member of the filter element and a second engagement portion of a housing seal member of the filter housing.
FILTER CARTRIDGE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING
A filter cartridge includes a first end component, a second end component, and filter media positioned between the first end component and the second end component is provided. The filter media maintains separation between the first end component and the second end component to allow for air flow through the filter media. The first end component includes at least two receptors and the second end component includes at least one protrusion configured to interface with the at least two receptors to hold the first end component and the second end component in the same relative position with respect to each other when a torque is applied to the filter cartridge. The cartridge is assembled together by adhesive binding the filter media to the first end component and the second end component.
MODULAR FILTER ELEMENT
The present invention relates to a modular ceramic filter element comprising two or more elongate hollow bodies, wherein the elongate hollow bodies are formed to define twist-lock connection means for joining adjacent elongate hollow bodies together.
Assemblies; components and filter features thereof; and, methods of use and assembly
An air cleaner assembly is disclosed, along with related methods. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly has a housing including a housing body and a removable cover that together define an interior volume for holding a filter cartridge. The housing body can include a first plurality of lugs, wherein each of the first plurality of lugs has a first engagement surface disposed at a first angle that is oblique to a rotational plane of the cover. A second plurality of lugs can be provided on the cover, wherein each of the second plurality of lugs has a second engagement surface disposed at the first angle. A lock mechanism can also be provided that is disposed on the cover, wherein the lock mechanism includes a lock member axially movable between a locked position and an unlocked position to selectively secure the cover to the housing body.
FILTER DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING SUCH A FILTER DEVICE
A filter device for the separation of impurities from a gas, including a filter housing having a lid and a pot; a filter element installed in the pot; a top cap has an inlet duct for receiving gas to be purified, the inlet duct connects to the inlet of the lid; a positioning device configured to position the top cap in relation to the lid when mounting the pot on the lid, and on the other hand with pressure device configured to press the entrance of the inlet duct against the inlet of the lid after mounting the pot on the lid, whereby the positioning device and the pressure device are designed in such a way that the positioning device come into action earlier than the pressure device during the mounting of the pot on the lid.
Filter Assembly and Media
The present disclosure relates to a filter housing having a bowl and a head. The bowl is configured to house a portion of a filter cartridge. The bowl has an annular groove disposed about a rim of the bowl. The head is configured to mate with the bowl. The head includes an inlet, outlet, and a pair of levers. The inlet is to receive a flow of fluid into the filter housing. The outlet is to release the flow of fluid from the filter housing. The pair of levers are to draw the bowl partially into the head. Each lever has a first arm configured to mate with the annular groove, a second arm having a bearing surface, and a pivot disposed between the first arm and the second arm. A force upon the bearing surface urges the bowl into the head to form a seal.
