FILTER ELEMENTS, AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES, AND METHODS OF USE AND ASSEMBLY
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.
Air Filter For Turbochargers And Superchargers
An apparatus and a method are provided for an air filter configured to be mounted onto air inlets of turbochargers and superchargers. The air filter comprises a proximal base including an inlet receiver configured to receive an air inlet, a clamp to secure the air inlet within the inlet receiver, and a first opening aligned with a screw mechanism of the clamp. A filter medium fastened to the proximal base is configured to remove particulate matter and other contaminates from an incoming air stream. A distal end cap fastened to the filter medium comprises a second opening aligned with the first opening. A conduit within an interior cavity of the air filter is disposed between the first opening and the second opening, facilitating tightening and loosening the clamp by extending an appropriate tool through the interior cavity so as to engage the screw mechanism of the clamp.
FILTER ELEMENTS AND ASSEMBLIES
An air cleaner comprising: a) a housing b) a cover; c) a filter element within the housing; wherein the surrounding housing-wall defines a pair of opposing receiving V-shaped grooves; wherein the filter element comprises first and second protrusions extending from opposing sides of the filter element and arranged along a common axis; the protrusions being adapted and arranged within the receiving grooves such that the filter element can be rocked about a pivot axis defined by pivot points of the first and second protrusions within the housing pivot the filter element into sealing engagement with the housing; and wherein the protrusions comprise a generally L-shaped cross-section comprising a first leg and a second leg, connected by an elbow connection portion, the elbow connection portion being arranged and adapted to serve as the pivot point for the filter element in the housing.
MOUNTING DEVICE FOR FILTER ELEMENT AND AIR BLOWER
A mounting device including a fixed seat, a mounting seat, and a plurality of quick-assembling assemblies. The mounting seat includes a mounting portion, and a plurality of support portions spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the mounting portion and connected to the mounting portion. A mounting space is defined by the mounting portion and the plurality of support portions, and the filter element is mountable within the mounting space. The plurality of quick-assembling assemblies is in one-to-one correspondence to the plurality of support portions. Each of the plurality of the quick-assembling assemblies has one end connected to the corresponding support portion and another end connected to the fixed seat. The filter element is quickly fastened onto the fixed seat by means of the quick-assembling assemblies, which facilitates mounting and dismounting of the filter element.
Clamp system and filter arrangement and methods
A filter system and clamp system for a gas turbine air inlet uses a single clamp system that allows for securing in place both a first element and a second element on the grid of the gas turbine air inlet. The clamp system can be released to allow for services of the first filter element, while the second filter element remains in sealing engagement with the grid.
Multi-stage filtration system for fuel cell hybrid propulsion system
A filtration system for a fuel cell hybrid propulsion system includes a first stage filter, a second stage filter positioned downstream of the first stage filter, and a third stage filter positioned downstream of the second stage filter and configured to be positioned upstream of a fuel cell system. The first stage filter has first pores with a first mean pore size. The second stage filter has second pores with a second mean pore size. The third stage filter has third pores with a third mean pore size. The second mean pore size is less than the first mean pore size. The third mean pore size is less than or equal to the second mean pore size. The first, second, and third stage filter are structured to filter an airflow prior to being received by the fuel cell system.
Sealing element, annular filter element, oil separator, and method for controlling prevailing pressure in crankcase ventilation system
An annular filter element and sealing element for an oil separator of a crankcase ventilation system, the filter element has a covering surface extending parallel to a direction of flow, together with at least one cover element covering surface in at least some regions. An oil separator is taught having the filter element with at least one pressure control valve controlling crankcase pressure and has a valve closing body that operates in conjunction with a valve seat. The sealing element having at least one radially sealing region that is configured to act in the direction of the radius of the annular filter element, and at least one axially sealing region that is configured to act in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the annular filter element.
Filter element with closed endcap forming a seal positioned at different axial distances
An air cleaner assembly comprises a housing and a filter element. The housing comprises a first housing end and a second housing end. The second housing end of the housing defines an opening of the housing for fluid flow. The filter element is configured to be received through the first housing end of the housing. The filter element comprises a filter media and a closed endplate. The filter media comprises a first media end and a second media end. The second media end of the filter media defines an opening of the filter element for fluid flow. The closed endplate is positioned along the first media end of the filter media and comprises a wall with an axially inner surface and an axially outer surface.
