An anti-rotation lock structure (160) is provided for securing the push-twist structure (120) in its closed position in an anti-rotation lock manner. The anti-rotation lock structure (160) provides at least one anchor portion (162) arranged along the circumference of the outer one of the housing body (112) and the housing cover (114). A clip element (170) is provided for connecting to the anchor portion (162). The clip element (170) and the anchor portions (162) are configured so that the clip element (170) is to be mounted to the anchor portion (162) in a predominantly circumferential mounting direction.

The present disclosure relates to a filter housing having a bowl and a head. The bowl is configured to house a portion of a filter cartridge. The bowl has an annular groove disposed about a rim of the bowl. The head is configured to mate with the bowl. The head includes an inlet, outlet, and a pair of levers. The inlet is to receive a flow of fluid into the filter housing. The outlet is to release the flow of fluid from the filter housing. The pair of levers are to draw the bowl partially into the head. Each lever has a first arm configured to mate with the annular groove, a second arm having a bearing surface, and a pivot disposed between the first arm and the second arm. A force upon the bearing surface urges the bowl into the head to form a seal.

UTILIZING A MECHANICAL SEAL BETWEEN A FILTER MEDIA AND AN ENDCAP OF A ROTATING FILTER CARTRIDGE

Referring to the figures generally, rotating filter cartridges (e.g., a rotating coalescers) for a rotating filtration system (e.g., rotating coalescer crankcase ventilation systems) are described. The described filter cartridges use mechanically created seals to seal the filter media to the endcaps of the filter cartridges. Accordingly, the described filter cartridges eliminate the need to use a potting or embedding material during manufacturing of the filter cartridge, thereby eliminating the costs and potential manufacturing defects associated with the potting or embedding material and process.

A filter element is provided with a cartridge locating system. The filter element includes a closed end cap and an open end cap with a tubular ring of filter media disposed between the end caps. The filter element includes an annular seal that can seal to round and non-round sealing surfaces and acts to block fluid flow between the open end cap and a pipe assembly in a pressure vessel assembly. A support bar is enclosed by the filter media and has a key. The filter element has a key receptacle to receive the key of the support bar. The user knows that the seal between the filter element and the pipe assembly is fully aligned and engaged when the key from the support bar fully enters the key receptacle of the filter element.

An air cleaner includes: a frame member equipped at an intake port of a carburetor and provided with an air inlet port; a filter held by a holding part included in the frame member; a lid member configured to cover a front face of the filter; and a screw with a knob, the screw being configured to connect the frame member and the lid member together. The frame member is provided with an insertion hole, where the screw with the knob is inserted, on the outer side of the holding part. The lid member includes a part to be connected, to which the screw with the knob is connected, the screw being inserted into the insertion hole from a side close to the carburetor. A knob part of the screw with the knob is disposed on the inner side of a circumscribed line between the lid member and the engine.

The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly includes a housing and cover within which primary and secondary filter cartridges, having a media pack and a seal arrangement surrounding the media pack, can be installed. The filter cartridges can include an open end cap with an axially deviating seal arrangement and a plurality of axially extending channels for engaging with ribs on the housing. The filter cartridges can also include extension members extending from the open end cap that include the axially extending channels, entirely or partially. The filter cartridges can also include a guide member extending from the extension members for providing a low friction surface against the housing during installation that allows axial force exerted by the installer to be translated into a rotational force that rotates the filter cartridge during installation.

An air cleaner assembly includes a housing and a removable cover. A filter element is removably positioned in the housing. A two-part mating catch assembly includes a first part that is secured to the cover and a second part that is on one of the housing and the filter element. The first part and second part are positioned to releasably mate when the filter element is operably mounted within the housing.

The first adhesive has a contact region disposed in the notch. The second preform member is disposed over the first preform member. The second adhesive bonds the first preform member over the first preform member. The second adhesive engages with the first adhesive at the contact region.
