A filter system for a machine system includes a filter holder assembly having a filter holder, an inner filter connector, and an outer filter connector. The filter holder includes peripheral surfaces each configured with at least one thread section and at least one slot section. The filter system also includes an inner filter attached to the inner filter connector and an outer filter attached to the outer filter connector. Each of the inner filter connector and the outer filter connector includes a peripheral surface configured with at least one thread section and at least one slot section arranged in a key-fit pattern relative to one of the peripheral surfaces of the filter holder. In an example application the concepts may be applied in an intake air system for an engine in an off-highway machine.

A filter frame provided in the present invention comprises a frame body including a plurality of frame strips which are combined together to form filter net disposing area, a filter net fixing member, an upper circumferential surface connecting member, a lower circumferential surface connecting member, and an adjacent member. The upper circumferential surface connecting member and the lower circumferential surface connecting member are respectively disposed along the upper circumferential surfaces and the lower circumferential surfaces of the frame strips in such a manner that the filter frame is connected to a second filter frame and/or a third filter frame along the normal direction of the filter net disposing area. The adjacent member is disposed along the outer circumferential surface of the frame strip to form an adjacent channel extending along the frame strip in such a manner that the filter frame is adjacently connected to a fourth filter frame.

A filter that is retained in a shell housing by the use of a snap connection. The filter includes an endplate having snap features that interact with a groove in an inner portion of the shell housing. The groove may extend 360 degrees around an inner circumference of the shell housing. Accordingly, when the shell is unthreaded From the head service (e.g., during a filter replacement service), the shell only needs to be displaced the length of the inner radial seal interface between the shell and the head, not the entire length of the filter media thereby minimizing the stroke length needed to service the filter assembly.

A fluid filter for a motor vehicle includes a filter housing and a filter cartridge which is fixable on the filter housing by rotating around a longitudinal axis of the filter cartridge. A holding element having a web is disposed on an end plate of the filter cartridge where the web protrudes from a wall of the holding element and where the wall is formed as a spiral shape. The web of the holding element is engageable behind a holding web of a counter bearing disposed on the filter housing that is spiral shaped. The holding web has an incline in a rotational direction in comparison to an abutment region of the filter housing on which a sealing element of the filter cartridge abuts.

An air filter, an air filter assembly, and method of installing the air filter into a housing of the air filter assembly are provided. The air filter includes an attachment portion and a lock tab. The lock tab is carried by and resiliently moveable relative to the attachment portion. The lock tab is located radially outward from the attachment portion and movable circumferentially about a central axis of the air filter. Another feature relates to using an end stop in a housing as a catch. Yet another feature relates to using a perforated end cap and capping such perforations with a housing seal

A filter that is retained in a shell housing by the use of a snap connection. The filter includes an endplate having snap features that interact with a groove in an inner portion of the shell housing. The groove may extend 360 degrees around an inner circumference of the shell housing. Accordingly, when the shell is unthreaded from the head for service (e.g., during a filter replacement service), the shell only needs to be displaced the length of the inner radial seal interface between the shell and the head, not the entire length of the filter media thereby minimizing the stroke length needed to service the filter assembly.

A thread connection is provided between a filter cartridge and its base, as well as to a filter cartridge comprising such a thread. The thread has a reversed load flank.

A pollutant filtering assembly for filtering pollutants from vehicle exhaust includes a tube that has a diameter which is sufficient to facilitate the tube to be inserted into an exhaust pipe of a vehicle. A sleeve extends around the tube to facilitate the exhaust pipe to extend between the tube and the sleeve. A handle is pivotally coupled to the tube for inserting the tube into the exhaust pipe. A filtering cartridge is insertable into the tube. Each filtering element of a plurality of filtering elements of the filtering cartridge is made of a unique pollutant filtering material with respect to each other. Moreover, each of the filtering elements can filter pollutants from exhaust of the vehicle.

A medical breathing gas filter housing includes a first housing body including a first port, and a second housing body including a second port. The gas filter housing is configurable between a closed state and an open state. In the closed state, the first housing body is snap fit to the second housing body such that first and second interior sides of the first and second housing bodies, respectively, define a cavity, the cavity sized to receive a replaceable gas filter media. In the open state, the first housing body is separated from the second housing body to provide access to the cavity.

A blow-by gas filtration assembly has an axis and includes an assembly body including a filtration chamber, an inlet mouth for filtering the blow-by gases, and an outlet mouth for the filtered blow-by gases. A filter group includes a central cavity radially crossed by blow-by gases. An electric drive operatively connects to the filter group to command rotation about the axis and filtration, and includes an electric motor including a stator and rotor. An axial shaft includes a filter portion mounting the filter group, a command portion mounting the rotor, and a support portion axially between the filter and command portions. A support bearing radially engages the support portion and the assembly body. The filter assembly screwably engages the filter group and filter portion, by respective filter and shaft threads so the filter group screws to the shaft until the support bearing is axially engaged.
