A filter apparatus for filtering a stream of gas is disclosed. The apparatus has a head with an inlet and an outlet, the head also having a first flow conduit connected to the inlet and a second flow conduit the outlet. The apparatus also has a filter and a bowl which contains the filter and is connected to the head. The bowl an annular recess. There is also a connector for connecting the filter to the head and the bowl. The part of the connector that engages the bowl has a protrusion that is inserted into the recess.

Filter element and method of manufacturing a filter element

The present disclosure relates to a filter element comprising a filter medium pack and a support arrangement comprising at least a shell member, and wherein a portion of the shell member is thermally welded to a circumferential face of the filter medium pack. The present disclosure further relates to a method of manufacturing such a filter element, the method comprising heating at least a portion of the shell member of the support arrangement, positioning the shell member around the circumferential face of the filter medium pack, pushing the heated circumferential portion of the shell member against the circumferential face of the filter medium pack, and allowing the circumferential portion of the shell member to cool down.

An adapter frame has a filter element receptacle in which the second filter element is arranged. The adapter frame has a first circumferential seal surface at which the second seal rests seal-tightly. The adapter frame has a second circumferential seal surface at which the first seal rests seal-tightly. A second housing part has a second circumferential housing seal surface at which the second seal rests seal-tightly. A method of using the filter elements in the filter apparatus is provided.

A filter bondable to a grille is provided. The filter is fixable alone to the grille so as not to separate therefrom without using another element such as a hook and loop fastener. The filter is constituted by a filter body and ears integrally connected to the outer edge of the filter body. The filter is bondable to the grille by bringing the filer body into abutment with the front surface of the grille, and bending the ears relative to the filter body until the ears abut against the side surface of the grille. By forming the ears at the filter, and bringing the ears into abutment with the side surface of the grille so as to be bonded thereto, it is possible to increase the attachment strength of the filter relative to the grille, compared to conventional filters each constituted by only a filter body.
