Curved seal on filter element and protective seal mold
A filter seal member mold includes a first mold end and a second mold end disposed axially away from the first mold end. A first mold surface is disposed between the first mold end and the second mold end and includes at least one lobe mold and at least one guide channel mold. The at least one lobe mold is configured to form at least one lobe on an end of a filter element. The at least one guide channel mold is configured to form at least one guide channel on the end of the filter element. A second mold surface is disposed between the first and second mold end and disposed radially away from the first mold surface. A mold channel is formed between a first mold surface and a second mold surface. The mold channel includes a closed portion and an open portion adjacent the second mold end.
Filter cartridges; air cleaner assemblies; housings; features; components; and, methods
According to the present disclosure, features, components and techniques useable for providing air cleaner arrangements are provided. Many of the features relate to an axial seal arrangement provided on a filter cartridge. A typical filter cartridge, for use with these features, is a filter cartridge having opposite flow ends. Example media arrangements that fit this characterization are described. Seal arrangements provided with an axial housing sealing engagement surface are shown. A seal arrangement is provided with variations therein, to advantage. These variations can be in either or both of an outer peripheral edge surface and a housing seal engagement surface. Also, air cleaner assemblies having advantageous features therein are provided. Further, air cleaner housings are described, with selected, preferred features for engagement with filter cartridges.
Apparatus and method for controlling display of EPG information
A method for controlling display of information on a display device includes storing information corresponding to a broadcast program guide. When a signal is received based on activation of a specific key while the first broadcast program is displayed on a screen, information on the first broadcast program and information on a second program to be broadcast after the first broadcast program is detected. The first broadcast program is then displayed in a first region of the screen simultaneously with the information on the first broadcast program and the information on the second broadcast program in a second region of the screen.
Interlocked stable filter assembly
A filter assembly that includes a filter housing with a housing interlocking feature, a filter cover with a filter cover interlocking feature, and a filter element with a filter element interlocking feature is disclosed. The filter element is positionable within the filter housing, and the filter cover is attachable to a top portion of at least one of the filter element and the filter housing. The housing interlocking feature, the filter cover interlocking feature, and the filter element interlocking feature are interlockable with each other and extend in a nonplanar configuration along at least one side of the filter element when the filter housing, the filter cover, and the filter element are assembled together.
Filter cartridges; air cleaner assemblies; housings; features; components; and, methods
According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, components, features, and methods relating thereto, are described. These features, in part, relate to configuration of a preferred seal arrangement and seal surface of the cartridge. Particular arrangements are shown, in which: the filter cartridge includes a seal arrangement having a axial pinch seal surface with a projection/recess contour including at least one projection thereon; and, the cartridge includes a seal contour projection stabilizing portion at a location in perimeter alignment with the portion of the seal pinch arrangement including the first housing engagement projection. Additional features are included that relate to clean air separator section tubes of a precleaner arrangement secured to a cartridge. These features can be used in cartridges including features outlined above, or in alternative cartridges. Additional features of air cleaner arrangements and filter cartridges in accord with the above are described.
FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
Air cleaner assemblies, components, and features are described. The features can be used to provide that the air cleaner assembly cannot be fully closed, even if a cartridge is nested therein, and appears to be sealed, unless that cartridge is a proper one for the system of concern. The effect is to prevent an inappropriate cartridge, that does not properly seal, from being inadvertently installed in the assembly.
Air filter arrangement; assembly; and, methods
An air cleaner arrangement is shown. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. A preferred filter cartridge positionable within an air cleaner arrangement, is depicted.
FILTER, USE OF FILTER ELEMENT IN FILTER, FILTER ELEMENT, AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A filter has a filter housing with a housing cover coupled to a housing part to close a receiving space receiving filter elements each provided with a filter medium body and a frame device around the filter medium body. The filter housing has a radially inwardly projecting, circumferential contact shoulder in the receiving space. The housing cover, when mounted, exerts an axial clamping force on the frame device of a first filter element. An axial end of the first filter element facing away from the housing cover rests on the frame device of a second filter element. The clamping force is transmitted through frame device of first filter element to frame device of second filter element. The frame device of the second filter element has a circumferential seal with a hollow chamber profile pressed by the clamping force on the contact shoulder to seal-tightly contact the contact shoulder.
SELF-CLEANING AIR FILTRATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An air filtration apparatus includes an airflow powerhead assembly including a fan assembly and a vane assembly, a filter assembly, and a separator chamber housing inside of which the filter assembly is disposed. The separator chamber housing has a chamber inlet at a first axial side and a clean air outlet at a second axial side of the separator chamber housing opposite the first axial side. The filter assembly has a first axial end adjacent the chamber inlet and a second axial end adjacent the clean air outlet. The separator chamber housing includes at least one debris ejection slot extension configured to eject debris from an inner space of the separator chamber housing. The filter assembly includes a debris catch tray disposed at the second axial end, the debris catch tray having a debris ejection slot aligned with the at least one debris ejection slot extension.
AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES AND METHODS OF USE
Air cleaner assemblies, related methods, components therefor, and features thereof are described. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. In some examples, a filter cartridge for an air cleaner includes a media pack extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite inlet and outlet flow ends and defining an outer perimeter with opposite straight sides and a first curved end. The filter cartridge can include a seal arrangement circumscribing the media pack outer perimeter, wherein a portion of the seal arrangement extends beyond a first plane defined by the media pack outlet flow end and a portion of the seal arrangement is disposed between the first plane and a second plane defined by the media pack inlet flow end, wherein the seal arrangement is aligned along a third plane disposed at an oblique angle to the first and second planes.
