Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.

Filter cartridge arrangements and assemblies; preferred features; methods of assembly and use

The present disclosure relates to filter assemblies. The features described and characterized are typically applied in gas (for example, air) cleaner assemblies. A typical use is in air cleaner assemblies for vehicles or other equipment. The techniques described relate, at least in part, to provision of assemblies with preferred configurations for convenient servicing and operation, while ensuring a proper cartridge is appropriately positioned, oriented and secured for use. Many of the techniques relate to arrangements in which features at opposite ends of a housing and/or cartridge are eccentrically positioned as described.

Filter media pack with porous wrapper

A filter media block and filter element incorporating same are provided. Methods of forming a filter media block and filter element are also provided. The filter media block includes a block of filter media and an outer permeable layer. The outer layer provides support for the block of filter media.

FILTER ELEMENT WITH AN ANNULAR SEAL HAVING A POSITIONING AND SEALING SECTION WITH CONCENTRIC ANNULAR SEAL RINGS FORMING A SEALING GROOVE

A filter element for exchangeable installation into a filter housing has an annular filter medium with an annular seal secured directly or indirectly onto the first axial end. The annular seal having a positioning and sealing section and concentric annular sealing rings between which a sealing groove is formed. A radially outer side of the radially outer annular ring having a key locking system formed by a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart radial projections, spaced apart by radial indentations, adapted to positively engage cooperative configured geometries or key locking features of a filter housing when in an installed state, thereby locking a rotational orientation and position of the filter element.

The invention relates to an air filter assembly (1) for a heat recovery ventilation unit. The air filter assembly comprises a frame (2) and a filtering element (3) fixed within said frame (2). The frame (2) comprises a first frame portion (2a) having a first height; a second frame portion (2b) opposite said first frame portion (2a) and having a second height; a third frame portion (2c); and a fourth frame portion (2d) opposite said third frame portion (2c). The third and fourth frame portions (2c, 2d) each extend between said first and second frame portions (2a, 2b). The second height is greater than the first height of said first frame portion. A height of said third frame portion (2c) is comprised between said first and second heights; and a height of said fourth frame portion (2d) is comprised between said first and second heights.

Filter System, Filter Element, and Use

A filter system is provided with a filter housing provided with a fluid inlet for introduction of a fluid into the filter housing. A fluid outlet for discharge of the fluid from the filter housing is provided. A filter element is removably received in the filter housing, wherein the filter element has a positioning and sealing section which positions and seals the filter element in relation to the filter housing. Elastically deformable snap elements connect the filter housing and the fluid outlet with form fit to each other. The positioning and sealing section rests radially at the elastically deformable snap elements. A filter element for such a filter system is provided.

FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS

According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, components, features, and methods relating thereto, are described. These features, in part, relate to configuration of a preferred seal arrangement and seal surface of the cartridge. Particular arrangements are shown, in which: the filter cartridge includes a seal arrangement having a axial pinch seal surface with a projection/recess contour including at least one projection thereon; and, the cartridge includes a seal contour projection stabilizing portion at a location in perimeter alignment with the portion of the seal pinch arrangement including the first housing engagement projection. Additional features are included that relate to clean air separator section tubes of a precleaner arrangement secured to a cartridge. These features can be used in cartridges including features outlined above, or in alternative cartridges. Additional features of air cleaner arrangements and filter cartridges in accord with the above are described.

Filter arrangement

A filter housing has a first housing part with a first rim section and a second housing part with a second rim section. The housing parts can be joined and separated from each other in axial mounting direction and define a housing interior for a filter element provided with a circumferentially extending sealing element. The first and second rim sections form a receiving area in which the sealing element is seal-tightly clamped radially between the first and second rim sections when the housing parts are joined in the mounted state. A snap connecting device axially braces the first and second housing parts relative to each other. The snap connecting device is formed integrally on the first and second housing parts such that a clamping force applied by the first and second rim sections on the sealing element in radial direction is decoupled from the snap connecting device.

FILTER ELEMENT FOR FILTERING A FLUID

A filter element for filtering a fluid passing through the filter element, the filter element having a fluid entry face and a fluid exit face and is provided with a group of first channels and a group of second channels, through which the fluid to be filtered can flow from the respective first channel into the second channel, that is arranged next to it, wherein a through-channel leads through a filter pack from the fluid entry face to the fluid exit face, which through-channel has an opening at the fluid entry face and/or has an opening at the fluid exit face, wherein an element closes the flow of fluid through through-channel, while leaving a volume open inside the through-channel that is at least 10% of the volume that the through-channel would have without the element, or the element allows the flow of fluid through the through-channel and interacts with the flow of fluid through the through-channel and/or the sidewalls of the through-channel deviate at least in some areas from a cylindrical wall in order to thereby create an element that interacts with a flow of fluid through the through-channel.

Secondary filter element and filter arrangement

A secondary filter element for a filter arrangement is provided with a filter medium and a circumferentially extending sealing device that seals the secondary filter element in respect to a filter receptacle of the filter arrangement. The circumferentially extending sealing device has an oval geometry with a long side and a short side. The circumferentially extending sealing device has an outer surface projecting, in a radial direction of the secondary filter element, farther past the filter medium when viewed along the short side compared to when viewed along the long side. A filter arrangement has a filter receptacle. A main filter element is received in the filter receptacle, and a secondary filter element is received in the main filter element. The circumferentially extending sealing device of the secondary filter element projects in a radial direction of the secondary filter element outwardly past an interior of the main filter element.
