Air cleaner arrangements; serviceable filter elements; and, methods
An air cleaner arrangement or assembly is provided. The air cleaner arrangement includes a serviceable filter cartridge. The air cleaner assembly also includes an arrangement for positioning the filter cartridge into a preferred, sealing, orientation and for securing the filter cartridge in that location. Preferred serviceable filter cartridges are provided, as well as methods of assembly and use.
Air cleaner assemblies and methods of use
Air cleaner assemblies, related methods, components therefor, and features thereof are described. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. In some examples, a filter cartridge for an air cleaner includes a media pack extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite inlet and outlet flow ends and defining an outer perimeter with opposite straight sides and a first curved end. The filter cartridge can include a seal arrangement circumscribing the media pack outer perimeter, wherein a portion of the seal arrangement extends beyond a first plane defined by the media pack outlet flow end and a portion of the seal arrangement is disposed between the first plane and a second plane defined by the media pack inlet flow end, wherein the seal arrangement is aligned along a third plane disposed at an oblique angle to the first and second planes.
Filter and filter cartridge
A filter cartridge for a filter for filtration of a fluid has a prismatic basic shape with a base face and a top face arranged parallel to each other and each having a polygonal basic shape. The prismatic basic shape is provided with a first lateral face and a second lateral face neighboring the first lateral face, wherein the first lateral face is an inflow surface and is substantially positioned perpendicular to the neighboring second lateral face. The prismatic basic shape has a third lateral face that is an outflow surface and is positioned at an angle relative to the first lateral face, wherein the angle is greater than 10° and smaller than 80°. A filter with such a filter cartridge is disclosed.
GASKET AND FRAME ASSEMBLY FOR AIR FILTER
An air filter element and air filter system are provided. The filter element has an annular gasket that has multiple portions. A first portion provides axial sealing while a second portion provides only radially sealing. The filter element includes a frame with a radial abutment for engagement with a tooth on a filter housing for providing lateral biasing to the portion of the gasket that provides radial sealing.
Filter elements, air cleaner assemblies, and methods of use and assembly
Air cleaner assemblies, components therefor, and features thereof are described. Also described are methods of assembly and use. In depicted examples, the air cleaner assemblies and components optionally use advantageous housing seal features. Methods of assembly and use are described.
TUBULAR AIR FILTER ELEMENT
A tube shaped air filter element for a fuel cell vehicle. The air filter element comprises a pair of circumferentially extending ridges on a first inner circumferential envelope surface, each of the pair of ridges protrudes towards a geometric centre axis of the air filter element and is configured to engage with an axially protruding portion of a filter housing.
Air filter system, air filter element for use in same, and method for servicing same
The present disclosure is directed towards filter elements whose overall length can be adjusted such that the filter element can be installed through an opening in an air cleaner opening having a relatively smaller dimension than the maximum dimension of the filter element. In one aspect, the filter element can include a radial seal member disposed on a positionable coupling element circumscribing at least a portion of a filter medium pack. The filter element has a first axial length when the positionable coupling element is in an extended position and has a second axial length when the positionable coupling element is in a collapsed position, wherein the first axial length is greater than the second axial length. In some examples, the filter element includes two positionable coupling elements.
ADAPTER ELEMENT AND RETAINING DEVICE FOR AN AIR/OIL SEPARATOR OF A VACUUM PUMP
The present invention relates to an adapter element (11) for a holding device for an air de-oiling element of a vacuum pump (1), comprising a first cylindrical portion (11a) having a first diameter and a second cylindrical portion (11b) having a second diameter and adapted to receive the air de-oiling element (2), whereby the first diameter is equal to or smaller than the second diameter and whereby the second cylindrical portion (11b) has circumferential recesses which form at least three fixing fingers (11e) aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis of the adapter element and distributed uniformly or non-uniformly over the circumference of the second cylindrical section (11b), wherein at least two fixing fingers (11f) are mounted so as to be elastically radially displaceable. The present invention also relates to a holding device (10) for an air de-oiling element (2) of a vacuum pump (1), in particular an oil vacuum pump.
Filter connection for a smoke evacuation device
A filter connection for a smoke evacuation device includes a filter canister assembly and a socket. The filter canister assembly has a cross-sectional shape with only one line of symmetry that corresponds to a cross-sectional shape of the socket so that the filter canister can only be inserted into the socket in one orientation. One or more key notches on the filter canister may also ensure that the filter is properly installed. A seal creates an airtight boundary between the filter canister and a recess of the socket so that a sealed path in communication with the smoke evacuation device is established before the filter canister is fully inserted into the socket. An electronic connection is made between the filter canister and the socket after the airtight boundary is created.
Interlocked stable filter assembly
A filter assembly that includes a filter housing with a housing interlocking feature, a filter cover with a filter cover interlocking feature, and a filter element with a filter element interlocking feature is disclosed. The filter element is positionable within the filter housing, and the filter cover is attachable to a top portion of at least one of the filter element and the filter housing. The housing interlocking feature, the filter cover interlocking feature, and the filter element interlocking feature are interlockable with each other and extend in a nonplanar configuration along at least one side of the filter element when the filter housing, the filter cover, and the filter element are assembled together.
