FILTER CARTRIDGE; COMPONENTS THEREOF; AND METHODS
Z-filters capable of cleaning particulate matter from airflow streams in dust collectors, including reverse flow, reverse air, and reverse pulse systems.
FILTER MEDIA, FILTER MEDIA PACKS, AND FILTER ELEMENTS
Embodiments include an air filtration media element comprising a plurality of layers of fluted media, each layer comprising a facing sheet and a fluted sheet, the fluted sheet comprising a first plurality of flutes and a second plurality of flutes, the first and second plurality of flutes being arranged in a parallel flow configuration; wherein the first and second plurality of flutes exhibit regular repeating differences in flute shape, flute size, flute height, flute width, cross-flute area, or filter media.
FILTER COMPONENT
There is a need to reduce the amount of overlapping parts of a nonwoven fabric of a filter component to thereby lengthen the life of the filter component. This need is met by the filter component formed of a cylindrical nonwoven fabric having a center axis, and having a plurality of polygon-shaped cross-sections which are a same shape that are formed side-by-side at predetermined intervals along the center axis. Each side of each of the polygons is formed by a mountain fold part on a plane perpendicular to the center axis, and each vertex of one polygon is connected by a mountain fold part to each vertex of another polygon, respectively.
Filter Element Having Optimized Flow Control
A filter element for an air filter has a filter bellows with a filter medium folded multiple times. A recess is disposed in the filter bellows and is designed to receive a guiding rib of the air filter. The recess is curved at least in sections thereof along a length extension of the recess. The air filter has a housing and a guiding rib, wherein the filter element is arranged at least partially in the housing and the guiding rib is immersed at least partially in the recess of the filter element. In a method for producing the filter element, the recess in the filter bellows is formed with a computer-assisted separation method that forms the recess to be curved at least in sections thereof.
Filter and Filter Cartridge
A filter cartridge for a filter for filtration of a fluid has a prismatic basic shape with a base face and a top face arranged parallel to each other and each having a polygonal basic shape. The prismatic basic shape is provided with a first lateral face and a second lateral face neighboring the first lateral face, wherein the first lateral face is an inflow surface and is substantially positioned perpendicular to the neighboring second lateral face. The prismatic basic shape has a third lateral face that is an outflow surface and is positioned at an angle relative to the first lateral face, wherein the angle is greater than 10 and smaller than 80. A filter with such a filter cartridge is disclosed.
Filter and Filter Cartridge
A filter cartridge for a filter for filtering a fluid is to be used downstream of a main filter cartridge in a filter and is provided with an inflow surface, an outflow surface, and a main flow direction extending from the inflow surface to the outflow surface. A filter body is provided that can be flowed through along the main flow direction. A filter cartridge frame supports the filter body. A seal is disposed on the filter cartridge frame and separates a filter interior of a filter into a clean side and a raw side. An adhesive connection is provided that connects the filter body and the filter cartridge frame to each other. In one configuration, the filter cartridge frame at an inflow side is provided with a grip area, wherein the grip area enables inflow of a fluid into the filter body via the grip area and manual removal of the filter cartridge.
Filter element and filter system having a filter element
A filter element for a filter system for filtering a fluid has a filter bellows arranged about a longitudinal axis and enclosing an interior of the filter element. An end disk that is provided with an opening to the interior of the filter element is arranged at the filter bellows. The end disk has a bead that is arranged at the opening to the interior and partially surrounds the opening to the interior. The bead projects outwardly in a direction of the longitudinal axis. The filter system has a housing with a cover and a housing part closable by the cover. The filter element can be exchangeably arranged in the housing. The bead, in a mounted state of the filter element in the housing, engages a complementary receptacle arranged at an inner side of the cover.
Round filter element
A round filter element has an annular circumferentially extending pleated filter medium body to be flowed through by a fluid to be purified radially relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. A first end disk is arranged at a first end face of the filter medium body. A second end disk is arranged at a second end face of the filter medium body. The second end face is axially opposite the first end face. An outer or an inner contour of the first end disk is identically or at least substantially identically embodied to an outer or an inner contour of the filter medium body. An outer or an inner contour of the second end disk is identically or at least substantially identically embodied to the outer or the inner contour of the filter medium body. One of the first and second end disks is open.
Reusable air filter system and method
A reusable air filter and methods are provided for filtering air being conducted to an air intake of an internal combustion engine. The reusable air filter comprises a filter medium configured to pass an airstream and entrap particulates flowing within the airstream. The filter medium is comprised of cotton gauze disposed in a sinusoidal arrangement that provides a filtration surface area that is larger than a perimeter area of the filter medium. An end cap and base may be configured to retain the filter medium therebetween. The base provides an interface between the air filter and an air inlet of the engine. The filter medium may be disposed in a flat, panel shape that is bordered by a supportive tray. Support rods may be embedded within the tray to prevent bowing of the tray due to air pressure when coupled with an air box of the engine.
Air Filter Element, in Particular for Gas Filtration
An air filter element has a filter medium body that has a wall to be flowed through by a fluid to be purified in a radial direction relative to a longitudinal axis of the filter medium body. The filter medium body has a first end face and an oppositely positioned second end face. The filter medium body has an elongate cross section shape with two oppositely positioned narrow sides and two oppositely positioned long sides connecting the two narrow sides. A cross section surface of the filter medium body tapers from the first end face toward the second end face. The two long sides each have an inwardly oriented radial constriction in a region of the narrow second end face, wherein, in a region of the first end face, the two long sides are formed without or at least approximately without the inwardly oriented radial constriction, respectively.
