Filter and filter media having reduced restriction
A pleated filter media comprises a plurality of pleats comprised of pleat segments extending in an axial direction between first and second axial ends and extending in a transverse direction that is perpendicular to the axial direction between first and second sets of pleat tips at least partially defined by first and second sets of bend lines. Axial flow channels are defined between the pleat segments in the lateral direction and the plurality of pleats has a width in the transverse direction that varies along the axial direction.
Air filter and its method for manufacturing
An air filter for an air conditioning system of a railway vehicle includes a first layer of a first filter medium with a first medium surface, a second layer of a second filter medium with a second medium surface, and a peripheral frame to hold the first layer and the second layer adjacent to each other, wherein the second surface medium area is non-flat and provides a larger filter surface area than the first layer.
Filter cartridge comprising a weld seam
A filter cartridge has a folded filter medium that is formed into a prism at least in regions and comprises two interconnected end folds, and which filter cartridge is constantly or cyclically subjected to stresses, specifically subjected to stresses from dedusting by means of pressure surges, is characterized in that the end folds overlap one another.
FILTER CARTRIDGE ARRANGEMENTS AND ASSEMBLIES; PREFERRED FEATURES; METHODS OF ASSEMBLY AND USE
The present disclosure relates to filter assemblies. The features described and characterized are typically applied in gas (for example, air) cleaner assemblies. A typical use is in air cleaner assemblies for vehicles or other equipment. The techniques described relate, at least in part, to provision of assemblies with preferred configurations for convenient servicing and operation, while ensuring a proper cartridge is appropriately positioned, oriented and secured for use. Many of the techniques relate to arrangements in which features at opposite ends of a housing and/or cartridge are eccentrically positioned as described.
Flat Air Filter Element and Air Filter
A flat air filter element for an air filter has a filter medium of cellulose material and a sealing element extending circumferentially about the filter medium. Sealing element and filter medium have at least one recess at an outer contour of the flat air filter element. The sealing element has a circumferentially extending holding groove to be engaged by a housing part of a filter housing. The filter housing has a housing pot, a housing cover to cover the housing pot, and a closure element for closing the filter housing. The flat air filter element is secured in the closed state of the filter housing by circumferentially clamping the sealing element between housing pot and housing cover. The circumferentially extending holding groove of the sealing element is engaged by housing pot or housing cover. The closure element of the filter housing is arranged in the region of the recess.
Filter element having a filter bellows
A filter element for fluids, including: a filter bellows made of a filter medium, the filter medium placed in the filter bellows along pleated edges in a zig-zag shape, in pleats that extend between opposite end edges of the filter bellows; wherein an end pleat having a pleated edge and an opposite free end margin is arranged on each opposite end face of the filter bellows, pleated edges that are consecutive along an end edge of a pleat end at opposite surfaces of the filter bellows; wherein a segment of one of the end edges extends obliquely to one of the pleated edges in such a manner that, in the one segment, the pleated edges on a first one of the opposite surfaces have a different length than the pleated edges of an opposite one of the opposite surfaces; and wherein the pleats are laterally sealed by the end edges.
PAINTING FACILITY AND METHOD FOR PAINTING A WORKPIECE, AND FILTER ELEMENT FOR THIS PURPOSE
The invention relates to a painting facility and a method for painting a workpiece, wherein, in a painting station, a coating is sprayed onto the workpiece by way of at least one painting device, and in an extraction station, which is arranged outside the painting station, air with overspray is extracted out of the painting station via an extraction device with a filter element, wherein overspray is separated out of the extracted air at the filter element. According to the invention it is provided that the exhaust air is led away via an extraction opening which is arranged in a lower region of the extraction station, wherein the filter element is placed onto the extraction opening, wherein the filter element is arranged approximately centrally in an extraction chamber of the extraction station. The invention further relates to a filter element provided for this purpose.
Filter Bellows and Filter Element
A filter bellows with zigzag-folded filter medium has first and second fold edges extending between opposite end edge faces of the filter medium. The filter bellows has opposite end faces with an end fold. The filter bellows in use has a raw fluid-side surface and a clean fluid-side surface. First fold edges are positioned at the raw fluid-side surface and second fold edges are positioned at the clean fluid-side surface. The filter bellows has a passage extending between raw fluid-side surface and clean fluid-side surface. The passage has a first opening at the raw fluid-side surface provided with a first cross section and a second opening at the clean fluid-side surface provided with a second cross section. When projecting the first and second openings onto each other, one cross section, at least with sections thereof, is arranged outside of the other cross section.
Filter Element, in Particular for Gas Filtration
A filter element has a filter medium body with a first side and an oppositely positioned second side, wherein one of the first and second sides is the inflow side of the filter medium body and the other one is the outflow side of the filter medium body. A first sealing or supporting element is arranged at the first side. A second sealing or supporting element is arranged at the second side. At least one force-transmitting adhesive bead extends between the first side and the second side, wherein the at least one adhesive bead is a force transmitting element extending between the first and second sealing or supporting elements.
Filter Element, in Particular for Gas Filtration
A filter element has a filter medium body with a first side and an oppositely positioned second side. A first sealing or supporting element is arranged at the first side. A second sealing or supporting element is arranged at the second side. The first side is positioned in a plane. The second side has a first section and a second section, wherein the first section has a first spacing relative to the first side and the second section has a second spacing relative to the first side, wherein the first and second spacings are different. One of the first and second sides is the inflow side of the filter medium body and the other one of the first and second sides is the outflow side of the filter medium body.
