Filter element and filter arrangement
A filter element, which has an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction thereof and includes a circumferential sealing device for, in particular, radially sealing the filter element off from a filter holder for the filter element, wherein the sealing device has two first curvature sections arranged one facing the other and two second curvature sections arranged one facing the other, wherein the first curvature sections each have a first radius of curvature and the second curvature sections each have a second radius of curvature, and wherein the first radius of curvature differs from the second radius of curvature.
Air cleaner assemblies and methods of use
A filter cartridge for an air cleaner assembly is disclosed. The filter cartridge can include a media pack configured for installation into an air cleaner housing, the media pack extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite inlet and outlet flow ends, the media pack defining an outer perimeter. The filter cartridge can also include a circumferential shell surrounding at least a portion of the media pack outer perimeter. A radial flange extending from the circumferential shell proximate the media pack inlet end can also be provided. The flange can define a plurality of openings that are configured to receive protrusions on a housing body of the air cleaner assembly. The interaction between the protrusions and openings operates to ensure a secure seal between the housing body and the seal member.
FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, housings, serviceable filter cartridges and features, components, and methods, relating thereto are disclosed. In general, the features relate to systems that are configured to aid in inhibiting an improper cartridge from being installed in an air cleaner housing, during servicing. A variety of features are characterized, and in many examples, the cartridge includes a seal arrangement having radially directed seal surface with at least a first non-wavy or non-projection/recess section and a second wavy or projection/recess section. Examples are shown and described in detail.
AIR PURIFYING APPARATUS, METHOD AND SYSTEM
A human-activity-environment air-purifying apparatus is provided that draws in airflow from an ambient environment, kills germs in the airflow within the apparatus and expels purified airflow back into the environment. The apparatus has a housing with an interior chamber. An airflow enters the chamber through an inlet. From the interior chamber, the airflow is expelled through an outlet. The apparatus has a germ-killing-system that kills germs in the airflow and has an airflow-generator which causes the airflow to flow from the inlet to the outlet. In one aspect, the apparatus has a three-dimensional filter structure that has air-filter-surfaces that define a filter interior region and encompassed by the air-filter-surfaces of the filter structure. The filter is positioned in connection with the inlet so that airflow entering the inlet is dispersed into the housing interior chamber in multiple directions exclusively through the air-filter-surfaces of the three-dimensional filter structure.
Filter element and filter arrangement
A filter element (3), which has an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction (LR) thereof and includes a circumferential sealing device (10) for, in particular, radially sealing the filter element (3) off from a filter holder (2) for the filter element (3), wherein the sealing device (3) has two first curvature sections (35, 36) arranged one facing the other and two second curvature sections (38, 39) arranged one facing the other, wherein the first curvature sections (35, 36) each have a first radius of curvature (R35, R36) and the second curvature sections (38, 39) each have a second radius of curvature (R38, R39), and wherein the first radius of curvature (R35, R36) differs from the second radius of curvature (R38, R39).
Filter Element
A filter element has a folded bellows folded in a zigzag shape and provided with folds. The folded bellows has a first section with a first curvature and a second section with a second curvature. The first curvature is greater than the second curvature. The folds of the folded bellows in the first section have a varying fold height.
Ovate tubular filter cartridges and filter systems using the same
Filter cartridges including tubular filter media having ovate cross-sections and filter systems using the ovate tubular filter cartridges are described herein. The inner perimeters of the ovate cross-sections of one or more of the filter cartridges may be asymmetric, i.e., the inner perimeters of the cross-sections of the tubular filter media in the filter cartridges may have no lines about which they are symmetric. The inner perimeters of the ovate cross-sections of the tubular filter media in one or more of the filter cartridges may have only one line of symmetry.
Filter holder and filter arrangement
A filter holder for a filter element that has an oval-shaped cross section transverse to a longitudinal direction thereof, the filter holder including: a receiving section configured to receive the filter element; fluid inlet for allowing fluid to be filtered into the filter holder; fluid outlet for letting the fluid filtered out of the filter holder; the fluid inlet is arranged so the inflow direction of the fluid to be filtered into the fluid inlet is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the filter element; the fluid inlet has a guide member configured to deflect the fluid as it flows into the fluid inlet such that it flows around in a spiral in the filter element that can be received in the receiving section in order to separate particles contained in the fluid to be filtered on a wall of the receiving section with the aid of centrifugal force.
Filter arrangements; housings; assemblies; and, methods
Air cleaner and preferred components for an air cleaner are provided. In certain arrangements, a band is mounted to the media pack, surrounding the media. Also, the cartridge is non-circular and includes a seal thereon.
Filter elements; air cleaner; assembly; and, methods
A filter cartridge, a safety element and fluid cleaner assembly are described. The fluid cleaner assembly generally includes a housing having a cover and a primary fluid cleaner section. The filter cartridge generally comprises z-filter media, arranged in a straight through configuration. Preferred cartridges include a seal gasket positioned to extend continuously around at outer perimeter of the straight through flow construction. The fluid cleaner assembly can have a precleaner positioned therein. Preferred features are described. Methods of assembly and use are also provided.
