Filter element and method for manufacturing a filter element
A filter element for filtering a fluid has a zigzag-shaped folded filter medium with fold edges neighboring each other. A thread is attached by an adhesive material to the fold edges. The thread is a multiple-wound yarn. In a method for manufacturing the filter element, a thread in the form of a multiple-wound yarn is attached by an adhesive material to fold edges of a zigzag-shaped folded filter material. In the method, the thread is soaked and/or coated with the adhesive material that is in a plastic state. The thread soaked and/or coated with the adhesive material is attached to the fold edges by applying a pressure, and the adhesive material is hardened.
ARCHED AIR FILTER
A filtration system includes an air cleaner housing and a filter element. The air cleaner housing includes a base and a removable cover. At least one of the base or the cover defines a cavity and a protrusion extending into the cavity. The filter element is disposed within the cavity. The filter element includes a plurality of media blocks each including a pleated filter media. The plurality of media blocks are arranged in arch shapes of approximately equal inner radii. The plurality of media blocks are coupled to each other along opposing edges that extend along a pleat direction of the pleated filter media. The media blocks together define at least one void that extends along the protrusion. The protrusion occupies a portion of the void.
FILTER ELEMENT AND FILTER ARRANGEMENT
The application is directed towards a filter element which has an oval cross-section and a circumferential sealing device for sealing the filter element off from a filter holder for the filter element, wherein the sealing device has a plurality of curvature sections to ensure good sealing. The application is also directed towards a filter assembly utilizing such a filter element.
Filter element, dust collector, and methods
A filter element includes a media pack and a gasket member. The gasket member includes first and second gasket regions separated by a channel. The elements are usable in a dust collector having a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, and a tubesheet dividing between an unfiltered and a clean air volume. An element is removably mounted and sealed within the tube sheet. At least one projection angled relative to a plane of the tube sheet extends into the channel of the gasket member. A method of servicing a dust collector includes removing a first filter element from the tube sheet in the housing, and then sealing a second filter element against the tube sheet by orienting at least one projection extending from a plane of the tube sheet into a channel defined by a gasket member secured to the second filter element. An axial force is exerted to form a seal between the gasket member and the tube sheet.

Filter element
A filter element for filtering impurities from air, whereby the filter element comprises one or more filters, whereby each filter is composed of a filter frame that is connected to a filter bag, characterized in that the filter frame and the inflow opening of the inlet piece have an aerodynamic design and that the filter bag is essentially cylindrical of which the one end is open and fastened to the inflow opening and the other end is closed.
Filter, hollow filter element, and filter housing of a filter, and seal of a hollow filter element
A filter (10) for filtering fluid, in particular air, water, fuel, oil, or urea-water solution, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, a multiple-bellows hollow filter element (44), a filter housing (30) of a filter (10), and a seal (90) of a hollow filter element (44) are described. The filter (10) comprises at least one filter housing (30), which comprises at least one inlet (28) for fluid to be filtered and at least one outlet (36) for filtered fluid. At least one hollow filter element, in particular a multiple-bellows hollow filter element (44) can be arranged in the at least one filter housing (30) such that it separates the at least one inlet (28) from the at least one outlet (36). The at least one filter housing (30) comprises at least one first housing part (42) having at least one installation opening (40) for the at least one hollow filter element (44), which can be closed using at least one second housing part (38). The at least one hollow filter element (44) comprises at least one filter bellows (46, 48), which comprises at least one filter medium (50), through which flow can occur for filtering of the fluid. The at least one filter bellows (46, 48) at least partially delimits at least one element interior (60, 64). An element axis (32) of the at least one hollow filter element (44) extends coaxially, axially, or in parallel in relation to an installation/removal axis of the at least one hollow filter element (44), in relation to which the hollow filter element (44) can be installed in the filter housing (30) and removed from the filter housing (30) through the at least one installation opening (40) in parallel, axially, or coaxially.
Engine including an air filter assembly
An engine includes an air filter assembly having a filter element and a case. A base of the case includes multiple clips, multiple pins, and a catch. The clips are configured to engage a bottom wall of the filter element. A cover of the case includes multiple hinge wings, a hook, and a guide structure. Each of the hinge wings is coupled with a corresponding pin of the base to allow the cover to rotate about the pins. The hook is configured to fasten to the catch of the base for securing the case in a closed configuration. The guide is configured to facilitate placement of the hook and prevent lateral slipping of the hook from the catch of the base. The base and the cover define an interior volume of the air filter assembly sized to receive the filter element.
